OK, I'm in hospital with trapped kidney stones, nurse comes round says can I check your blood... 7.3
is that good or bad, poor nurse called away to deal with another issue.

It depends on when you ate last and if you have normal fasting blood glucose levels.

Being in hospital and in pain will also raise bg

If you have been eating hospital food, my only surprise is it isn't in double figures.
