What to eat before bed with low reading?

As a newly diagnosed Type 1, I was wondering what you would snack on if you have a low reading (3.1 ish) before bed? Generally I have quite good control but occasionally I have this, and don't really want to be eating unhealthy/fattening foods at this time of the evening. Not sure what foods/snacks would be best to last you through the night?

Thanks :-)

Depends on how much QA insulin is still circulating, at bedtime mines nearly all used up so I'd have 2 jelly baby's and a 4g oat cracker.

I think nigels advice is about right. If the bolus has virtually come near to its end, then 10-15g carb should do the trick but in case of doubt, best to get up 2hrs later and test bg to make sure and if need be, eat again

I asked the diabetic nurse this exact question, and her advise was to have a bowl of cereals, obviously avoided any sugary ones
