Don’t know if I can join in because my levels are a bit high.
10.6 last night and 10.6 this morning.
Going to try eating earlier in the evening and see if that helps some.

It was the same with me, I got a good telling off for self testing by my diabetic nurse. I was diagnosed in October 2018, annual review January 2019, changed to yearly hba1c testing yearly in February - I am considering changing my user name to Solomon GrundyMy levels are usually in the range 5 - 6 in the morning, but this am it was 8.5. I didn't test last night. I wonder if it was because I was awake for half the night with stomach ache. I'm feeling better now, and I'll test during the day. I test infrequently as I am generally pretty stable. Incidentally the new diabetes nurse pulled an awful face a few days ago when I told her I had a glucose monitor!
That’s really interesting, did you have raised glucose levels when you had the gallbladder problems?4.0 last night
5.4 this morning
Not taken any med since in hospital with gallbladder problems

Congratulations & well done, your post gives hope that this disease can be controlledHappy Monday team
Thank you all for your well wishes. My nose is not so sore and my eye is blacker, that said my pride is well bruised (being a Leo us lions don't take kindly to bashing ourselves)
SO... Down to business Forgot to test first thing, went in the shower had brekkies (eggy bread with bacon and 3 cherries... Mmmm! Coffee and double cream) stabbed my finger watched the blood sucked up the strip and saw the screen flash up 5.8
Now today Mon 20th I start my 7th week on insulin and am off to see, for the first time, my diabetes specialist at the hospital.
I am unsure what he will think about my 30% reduction in insulin and my 50% reduction in Glicaside in 7 weeks!
I know what I think he should say.... (My daily average is 6.0) However that might differ hugely from what he actually does say.
Watch this space as 'they' say!
Have a great day Ya all

UPDATE: I have just returned from my hospital appointment.
Quote from 'The diabetic specialist' after downloading my reader readings...
"In my twelve years of working in this field this is the best set of figures I have seen. I have only seen two or three other sets of readings that come anywhere close to this in all that time!"
He went on to say... "I want you to stop taking insulin with immediate effect!"
O M G!
I was so glad to have found this site and all the people that post here.Congratulations & well done, your post gives hope that this disease can be controlled
