Yes so right as always lets stock up on tbe cat foodMine deserted me today...decided to stock up on cat food popped into Tesco's on my way home walking into the store I spied what I thought was a hand sanitiser on the wall by the entrance...walked up to it was about to press it realised it was a CCTV camera...or was it...got totally confused so walked quickly past it.
Yes, sorry, I removed it in case I caused offense. Wasn't sure if it was too flippant.@Ryhia No I'm a Cambridge man - born there, studied there but basically a simple Fenland yokel. I now live in Suffolk for a whole 3 weeks oddly in Oxford Close. Shopping can easily involve going into Norfolk and Cambs on the nearest A road. Look at what Oxford turns out and it will be immediately apparent I have not been contaminated.-Your comment went before I replied.
Bought a bottle of gin a couple of days ago thinking well if I cannot get hold of any sanitizer I can always rinse my hands in alcohol. On the other hand my DIL has a particular liking for gin so if I don't use it, there is part of her birthday present already.Lol if it was gin I might need to think twice
Only contact I have with Oxford is traffic jams on the way to Wiltshire.@Ryhia No I'm a Cambridge man - born there but basically a very simple yokel. I have lived in Suffolk for a whole 3 weeks, oddly in Oxford Close. Look at what Oxford turns out and it will be immediately apparent I have not been contaminated.Contact with Oxford limited to going past on the way to Southampton - that's enough thanks. Reminded me of my mum. Liverpool lime street train station. She popped to the loo. Came out and we were trundling along the platform when someone tapped her on her shoulder. Mums skirt was tucked in her knickers/tights!!! Talk about embarrassing!!!! And not a drop of alcohol involved!!!Yes that's Molly...we arrived at Euston Station on our way to visit another aunt...Molly had never been on an escalator before & her first experience was traumatic (for us too) her co-ordination wasn't brilliant (the brandy) so she missed her footing & travelled up the escalator partly on her back displaying underwear that hadn't been on display since Queen Victoria's unmentionables were shown at the V & A many years ago...my mother was apoplectic one of the heels on her best wedding bought shoes broke as she tried to extract her sister from the moving stairs meanwhile the rest of us were busy trying to pretend we didn't know them...it was a car crash journey I shall never forget.
A nap standing up ;-)Good grief, 3 hours!?! Even in the US I haven't known anyone with that long a commute.
Congratulations on quitting, and best wishes for your new job. My first full-time job involved a bus ride of about 20-30 minutes. I learned to read standing up in the aisle, and sometimes I was able to take a nap on the way into town.
Stunning horsesI will sort one out but in the meanwhile here are two pastel drawings I did of Mrs MCs current horse a Palomino Haflinger and a horse we shared Chestnut Mare Sea Fever

I find 'Alexa play that again ' works or 'repeat 'Are AIs taking over? Two very strange things happened this evening with our unwelcome but somehow necessary and often useful listening AI, HELP @OldButBold.
We have the Amazon echo sitting quietly in a corner, during a lively discussion and raucous game with daughter, son in law, grandaughter about aliens, Ride of the Valkyries and Monster Mash, don't ask! Our AI that can't be named suddenly woke, no wake name mentioned, and recited a poem by Mary Shelley saying it was this poem that helped our AI to know and understand what it is to be human. With all the noise and the surprise we missed the name of Shelley's poem. I have asked the AI for clarification in many different ways but just get "hmmm I'm not sure" or "hmm I don't know that one" I have also searched on the internet my iPad and can find no reference to other owners of this AI haveing a similar experience.
The next thing that happened was I am playing my guitar when again the AI suddenly spoke advising that an advanced guitar tuition will be available on YouTube, I missed when and where and names links because again was taken by surprise. I have asked for clarification but again with the same response of "hmm...... " and so on.
I am thinking of contacting Amazon, maybe ask for all the information they hold on me, however I suspect I would be swamped with huge files to search through which would kill any of my computers.
All very strange.
Edit.. just to add, which may also throw some light on things, I use the AI to remind me when to take my BG. I always ask to set a reminder 'To feed Dracula' did the AIs algorithms associate Mary Shelley????
never had that , as in speaking to us, but have had the green ring which i believe is passive listening*I find 'Alexa play that again ' works or 'repeat '
We have had the same issues on occasion. They must be in it together ;-)
