I think it’s just some individuals with a ‘do as I say’ mentality, there’s a lot of it about unfortunately. I saw that Prince Charles quickly changed his handshake to a namaste greeting though!

They took my name and contact details but not sure they’ll do anything with it. The receptionist thought it was a good idea but I’ll wait to hear back from the practice manager. ( last time I emailed her I didn’t ever get a reply!) I might make a poster to put up in the corner shop.

I think some of the end of March dates travel companies and insurance companies are stating are optimistic. As I understand it PM Boris wants to delay the peak until summer so this could easily run through to Autumn. China started in December 2019 and is only just starting to improve so that's 4 months with all of the measures they introduced. Yes I know lifestyle is very different there, but it's all we have to be guided by.
 
I am obviously inclined to believe anything negative about our (can't believe I write this) PM and the source of the article is hardly likely to give him any credit but it does ring true https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/12/health-expert-brands-uks-coronavirus-response-pathetic. Markets seem to have made their decision on how well Trump and our guy are likely to handle this as well. Wall Street and FTSE not prone to swallow bull - dot com and South Sea bubbles may argue otherwise. Just waiting for DJT to tell us COVID all a hoax started by Soros.
 
I think this Government would be quite cheered by reducing the benefits bill of the long term sick and those needing social care.
 
Amidst all the troubles and worries we face and getting back much earlier than expected from MILs bungalow, where is all the traffic, should I be worried, did I miss something? I have managed to make a start on Slate Painting II. This time I want the Slate to be sunlit against a dark sky. First picture shows the masking out of Slate, tree and building, second shows sky put in. I would now remove the masking fluid but I really like the effect it's made of the paint on the Slate. So do I remove it and try to emulate the effect by painting it back in, or leave it? I will probably remove it as I suspect masking fluid will go yellow over time.





Off to Shropshire tonight for Recorder quartet then folk band rehearsals, these will be in people's houses not public spaces and yet I feel uneasy and a little guilty about travelling to other areas, come lockdown, which surely will come, how am I going to feel about even popping to the shop if I feel like this when there is currently no ban?

On the good news front no obvious shortages in our local Tesco today.

Just do what we gotta do. That's not advice, BTW just feedback. My parents always said "You can't let it make you stop living" -- whatever "it" was at any given time, in my case, usually fear or at "least" nerves.

I went out to sort my prescription this morning. Went to post office to post some cards and get my money. But the lady serving was cough cough coughing...into her hands and counting out my £20 notes. I didn't want to handle them and put them in my bag even though I had gloves on so I asked her to put them in an envelope. She was behind a glass screen.

Then I did a bit of last minute shopping. Hardly anyone around. All well and good until the last shop when at the till the assistant begins coughing badly as she is putting my goods through the till. She cannot stop coughing. I hold my breath. Can I hold my breath until she has run everything through the till? I can hold my breath underwater for quite awhile, but on dry land is another matter. She asks me if I want a till receipt. I shake my head no. Then she goes to hand me my change...I point to the charity box, and get the hell out of the shop where I take a gulp of outside air...

My shopping got sprayed with antibacterial disinfectant when I got home.

Then I find my Amazon parcel for my friend is due in about 15 mins to two hours ish.

I just want this over with after that stupid Amazon delivery guy on Monday. But it is a slow torture. The time of estimated arrival kept moving forwards 15 mins, or half an hour. Four hours later and the dot is outside my house. I had been through a variety of emotions waiting, from sh*tting myself, to being angry, to wanting to go out in the front garden with tools and cut everything down until the delivery guy arrives. I am in the kitchen. The curtains are closed. I can see from the dot he is at my front door, but I see him knocking on the frosted glass door. Then I see the shadow move round the window round to the back door, where more knocking on the frosted glass door. Why can't they put it in the safe place. He cannot see me in the kitchen. More knocking at the back door. I grab the key and open the back door.

There was a nice young guy outside (not that that horrible delivery guy from Monday with his weird interrogation). Good afternoon he says, you okay he asks. I nod yes. He just says my name. I nod. I can't even bloody speak. He gives me my parcels, smiling at me the whole while. Now you have a good day he says, and tips his cap. I smile at him and nod. I still can't speak. What must I have looked like...a rabbit n the dark, startled by headlights?

I locked the kitchen door and I breathe with relief, and all the tension from the last few days since Monday goes. I sit down with a cuppa. Then up pops on my Amazon page where I was following the delivery on the Amazon map, a screen of options, and I can press several boxes on what I thought of this particular Amazon delivery guy. And there was the option of a comment box to say anything further what I thought of this particular delivery guy. This box has never popped up before for me.

So obviously I gave him a good glowing report.

Now chilling out with ginger and apple cider vinegar in hot water...

Maybe I will order from Amazon again, now I have an easy means to comment on the delivery guy. My confidence is slowly coming back on this.

I'm glad.
Having suffered a lot of damage to my confidence in my life I am glad when I hear someone say that their confidence is coming back to them. It's the confidence that's like the rabbit in the headlights. Sometimes I want to clutch it to me and snuggle under the covers but my mother would say that sometimes we have to give its ears a tug and bop it on its cottontail. I think she had to take her own advice many times in life.
