All the best and hope the day goes smoothly, easily, and effortlessly.Morning All. 6.3 this morning no rhyme or reason as many of you are reporting higher than ought to be. Have a very busy day ahead, sorting out sons things back from Uni, loads of laundry, trip to supermarket to stock up for rest of week as I am having my first anti VEGF injection early tomo and will be hiding in the shadows for a couple of days.
Have a good Tuesday. Stay well, stay safe.
Very diplomatic DJC...he's a thief plain & simple...I'm not even sure he likes the cats food...it may be a territorial thing...he may as well give up Churchill is not one to be messed withHugs for the cricked neck but lol re Harry. Have to admire the opportunist in him.
Part of the problem is trust DJC..when an animal has been abused & treated badly often the only way they know how to respond to fear is by biting & lashing out...the damage was clearly done early on long before he found a loving home with your daughters family which makes it all the more tragic...I hope they will try again. He was a beautiful boy, but quite nervous, although he had calmed down a lot since they got him and was responding well to being treated with kindness and patience.
interesting, you certainly know your cats then.
He was beautifully marked and big old thing too.
had to stop the missus trying to nick him...(i THINK she was joking, but can't swear she was..)
she does have form..local vicar caught her tempting his cat home with some treats..awkward...

@DJC3 hope you and your family will feel better as the days go by...are they able to continue with their holiday?
@dunelm your holiday reporting is beautifully written and a joy to read. Please keep having fun.
@gennepher sorry you’re having such lack of sleep and hope you can catch up a bit today. @Bubbsie hope your stiff neck improves, and it will, but is very annoying. Good old Harry...Churchill needs to sort that out and repay the compliment!
@Debandez have a lovely break with your friend..Prossecco anyone?
@HarrisonK have a great day and good reunions.
Have a good Tuesday. Stay well, stay safe.
I did think as much after it all they are better off at home. I hope the other dog is coping. Thanks for asking but I have macular edema/retinal vein occlusion in my right eye. I have lost quite a bit of sight and hopefully the course of injections I start tomorrow will prevent it getting worse. Its administered by the consultant into the white part after hopefully some good anaesthetic. Some on the forum have had it done and it helped. Luckily the other eye is good because my biggest fear is being unable to drive. No sadly they came home early as they were just too shocked and saddened to have fun.
Good luck with the laundry - my mum once found a bag of chips in my brother’s laundry when he came home from uni. When she remonstrated with him, his only response was ‘oh I wondered where they’d gone!’ Lol.
Not sure if Ive missed some earlier posts but what is VEGF?
Just remembered that I have also stopped the omega 3 - so will start back on that also. The only thing I have changed this year is that I have stopped taking vitamin c and my multi vitamin. So I am straight back on them.
I gave a like rather than a hug because you seem relatively calm about what will be done to you and sure about what needs to be done by you. Best wishes and thinking of you.Had the dreaded eye checks at the hospital. My big fear was that the macular oedema had come back and I would need a course of Lucentis injections. I have a phobia about injections into the eye - which was why I got so stressed yesterday.
So had some tests - saw the doctor after the tests - cateracts had got a bit worse - and see you in another year. Everything else OK.
I had a dilemma. There was one test the doctor hadn't done - perhaps she hadn't done it because it wasn't necessary. I could just leave and see them in another year. Phew - what a relief.
And then I remembered what I have learned in this forum - it is up to us to take charge of our health. So I said - you didn't do the specific test for macular oedema - do you think it may be helpful to do it.
The doctor said -'yes, if you.want it done we can do it'. Thank goodness I went with my gut feeling. There was macular oedema in both eyes - not hugely bad but bad enough to need injections. First one next Monday. Strangely enough I am no longer scared of having it done.
Not sure why after all this time on keto why it has come back. The only thing I have changed this year is that I have stopped taking vitamin c and my multi vitamin. So I am straight back on them.
Thank goodness you asked for the test Krystyna...it is better to know & get it addressed...will be thinking of you next week...good luckSo I said - you didn't do the specific test for macular oedema - do you think it may be helpful to do it.
gennepher that is a sweet funny & touching account of how cats are...I wouldn't be without one.I have taken the eye mask off now, but he is refusing to leave my chin...
