If I said I'd someone to do it would that count gennepher...I'd be far too dangerous with tools myself but it is possibly something I could have a go at...I have the old sofa down in the summer house could use the seat cushions from that...I might just try it
Get a handyman (or woman) to put it together, then you could paint it...
The two beasts will christen it with their claws...nice soft wood...

I do a fair amount of wood working, different type of stuff and I understand how long it takes and how difficult it is to make make stuff from pallets. Well done and you should be proud of your construction, now I shall be interested to see the drinks cabinet.
I'm building a BBQ station next and then I may make a bar, but we will see it's getting a hold of the pallets at the moment.

I think you might be the winner. Two lots of washing wins for sure.
I must be running out of jobs to do, polished the VW camper, why? It's certainly going nowhere. I have also tortured my neighbours trying to learn the second part of a Handel Duet on my Mandolin 'Barocke Spielstucke' could have been worse as it is written for my violin, poor neighbours.

Mrs MC plays the first part on a Recorder, we disagree a lot in between the first and last note, although we always finish together. :joyful:

Oh and a lot of sitting in the sun drinking coffee.

PS.Oh! Also cleaned upstairs windows inside and out, will not have to put the lights on in the day anymore.

It does sound that you have achieved much more than I have over the lockdown, if you have run out of jobs. Mr K has also been much more industrious than I have and is also running out of jobs.

Up late, staek for breakfast.FBG 5.7..nice.
temp 36.9...opps..a little higher then usual..:sorry:

like any war, @dunelm.
and you probably know better then most, mistakes get made.

Belfast Land rovers for iraq.
lack of body armour., etc etc

No one, as i read it is saying the Nations bad.

but when leaders make mistakes, fail to take the appropriate actions,
i think it's our duty to call it out.

For those now being silenced in the NHS here, and in the US, for making comment about the reality
on the front line.

We have a duty to be their voice, journalists are our conduit for that.
are they asking the right questions..not always
are the government answering honestly..not always.

should we just turn away and go back to watching corrie..i don't think so.

the idea the deputy CMO say we we're the best prepared nation ..
is frankly embarrassing, as perhaps 16.000 dead might suggest.
and definitely the 12.000 extra dead then Germany..different tactics, better results....or not.

https://news.sky.com/story/coronavi...g-remark-about-exemplar-preparedness-11975652

bad generals get replaced, nations watch on in horror as their "troops " get needlessly put in harms way
and do what they can to make that stop.

The US fought a war in Vietnam over many bl**dy years.
people made that stop..not generals or leaders.

Maybe we should have had a government of national unity
we could then honestly say we were doing our best,
and not acting in one sides or another best interest,
but in the national interest.

do i think this one is.....mmhh

I knew there was going to be some dastardly plans and ideas coming out of world wide lockdown.

Does anyone have any designs for how to convert a VW Campervan into a Chicken Shed?

I suspect this is just the thin end of the wedge....

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-52353942

while i love your van, at the moment i do think the car bans are a good idea.

when i'm out and about i see so many just pass each other as if it was pre covid, some stop in street to chat and gossip regardless of those trying to pass at safe distance.

and stepping into the road, maybe not the best idea, even with as little traffic as now.
dog owners are walking their dogs ...and dogs are stopping to sniff each other regardless of as govt guidelines
again forcing many into the road.

None of this is really bad, but right now it's not helping.
short term it helps..will they abuse it and make it long term...i can't lie..maybe :sorry:

Jogger run past on pavements, at pace, puffing and leaving potential germs in their wake.
(*side note, not sure if you read already , but i think you ride solo, but advice is to ride abreast, rather then in line, as lead cyclist leaves a cloud of invisible droplets in their wake, and next riders breathes that cloud in constantly..so they say.

Would make side roads more safer, for all if no cars ?

i believe Barcelona and maybe the states, had an idea to make side streets a convoluted one way
so through traffic chose to go around rather then through districts.

have to suspect many IF possible won't trust Public Transport for a while, so will find alternative ways in to work
so i expect gridlock those first we weeks in major towns and cities.

It is 1pm. Achieved today so far: 1 doggie walk. 1 washload of washing hanging out in the garden. Several cups of coffee drunk. 1 visit to farm shop. 1 newspaper read. 1 suduko completed successfully. 3 Mah Jong completed successfully. Funny videos emailed to friends. That is quite productive - isn't it?

Pah....by 1pm when i read this...
had done...

1. got up
2 tbc
3 tbc
4 etc
5 etc
6 etc

sorry to hear about your low BG, so glad it wasn't anything other, as nasty as that did sound.

good to hear your as near normal as usual
long may it last

stay well.

My paintings for today, done with soft pastels. Dusty messy stuff, best done outside.
Mountains, lake, and sky. Worked this from a photocopy I had of a landscape. Had it many years so not sure of origin of photo.
View attachment 40611

Next one is just clouds and a bit of water...the photograph of it made it pinker than what it was...this one is made up...the colours were gentler than this...

View attachment 40612

can't help thinking when i see some pics like these, thinking of some Japanese art.

like the first one better, and i can see the lack of pink would make the 2nd as good.

cheers for sharing, nice work.

Spaghetti car banana is a good low carb alternative but what about banana bread?

I can only dream of achieving as much as you did this morning.
It is nice to be near normal. Or maybe even just Normal for Norfolk.

Good late afternoon all.

Here Ian a copy of a posting I made on another site at 10:26am this morning
"" One is very lucky, one here has got up, made tea, 45 mins plinky plonky, made koffy, cooked ones breakfast, ate ones breakfast, took pills, made koffy again, washed dressed then took bedroom curtains down and one is about to go to ones shed and collapse. ""

Unfortunately the pace didn't slacken till just now 17:06,
My list of jobs, tasks and projects seems infinitely long. Which explains why my blood sugar levels just recently have been lower than my fasting levels.

Just tried to redo the over pinkness in the photo of it...not succeeded...I am working on my tiny phone. .

Going to try again to adjust the colours... the original looks nicer than this...

Put the last pastel painting through curves in a photo app...
so hopefully it looks better now. Left the above pinkish pic (that the phone took of it) so you can see the difference on the below pic which is a more truer representation of the original. I hope...

Edit...that looks a truer representation of the rather pink original clouds...

Thank you @jjraak
That pinkness is annoying me cos the original is much nicer...

Going to try and reduce the pinkness in the second one through a photo app to try and get it nearer the original...

I do agree, for the foreseeable future, the point was the Thin End of the Wedge. I have a real uneasy feeling that we will now quickly move to The demonisation of car ownership. Also I ask myself unless there is a first class vaccination against this virus would I want to risk visiting campsites, shared toilet blocks and showers or come to that holiday cottages, hotels and b&b. Wildcamping yes but that is illegal in the U.K. So VW camper, what use?

Nice atmosphere caught in both of these pastels. Not an easy medium and like you say very messy to work with.
