What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thank you so much @Muddy Cyclist really helpful. Your breakfast - minus almonds - sounds like the way I ate on holiday/would eat after an hour in the gym. ATM gym machines are upstairs so I walk in the mornings . The effect/pleasure is nowhere near the same as I can't put out the same wattage by walking and I really don't like it . After 5 years and even with the Libre now none of this makes any sense to me either.

@gennepher Mrs MC is very forgiving, does not Class herself as an artist but is incredibly creative and I suspect as come up with something quite unique for Friday's Challenge as will my Grandchildren, Daughter and SIL so I will probably be bottom of the pile this week. I will beat my son though lol. unless he makes something in his forge which I doubt.

Second lockdown is on the horizon, more severe than the first.
But I am not surprised.

Our road had a little drinking party tonight where others and children came in from somewhere, no social distancing. I came in and went to bed. I have already had stick for not joining in last Thursday's and Friday VE celebrations. This is Wales and lockdown hasn't been lifted yet.

Don't be so hard..Just like this govt, they are only doing their best.

And a clear danger of announcing policy on a Sunday night after a few beers,
THEN deciding what the contents of that policy will be
and having to revise it various times during the coming days'/weeks as the clarity of it confuses
and baffles those intended to guide us..

so they keep giving out the wrong guidelines....

cunning plan or all under control..you decide.



Truth is many of us know cancer is a nasty disease and it kills.
like many others, and THAT doesn't really compute until it is US or one of our own that get it..that we accept it IS that nasty.

so as long as No one you know got it, and died..
it's a fake virus..and so it goes.

now and into next year, sadly.

BUT the bonus should be our govt would learn from each mistake and improve.

Finally we have rain. How much, I do not know yet.

Too hot to sleep last night. I had my chill humidifier on to try and reduce the temperature. I need to make some ice today to put in it.

Looks like we have strong winds this afternoon. It is pretty blustery now.

Going to try and have a nap now as I have to go out to forage for food today.

Good Morning and 6 for me this dull wet day, forgotten what such mornings are like.

Other than virtual family meal at 6pm another day ahead with no maps or navigators to point me in any direction, so I will bob along like float-some and jetsam and see where I end up.

I agree the Govs guidlines have been confusing BUT you, I , kids, my grandchildren and others have no trouble deciphering them, this is blatant disrespect from many of the countries populate, no thought for those communities they chose to descend on, no excuse for the huge litter problem, I can only imagine how they polluted the sea with all amenities closed. Government advise wrong or not this still paints a terrible picture of the lack of care and the selfishness of what I fear is a huge part of our society. Sadly since they have opened the car parks on Cannock Chase litter around them increased, dog walkers throwing poo bags in trees, cans and bottles just left on car parks, worse than before lockdown, why, different people visiting than before maybe? I have no idea and still unbelievable and a disgrace, can't keep on blaming the GOv for people's actions.
 

I agree with what you say.
Most of my friends think things are going to go back to normal once our lockdown is lifted in Wales.

But the situation in England with their so called freedom (and even in my road in Wales last night) where it is basically let’s party, go out and enjoy ourselves on beaches and trustlands regardless of others in every way, and don’t mention that dog poo situation either, beggars belief.

The isolation we are under is basically isolating in luxury compared to what it could have been. We do have food and toilet rolls (although eggs seem to be in short supply). We have water, electric, gas, and the majority of us who had a roof over our heads before the lockdown still have a roof over our heads. We have our internet. So, why are all these people acting as though lockdown is over, when it patently is not.

I have some friends down South by the cliffs, and she tells me that visitors cars have parked in their little village, regardless of double yellow lines and blocking their roads and driving fast causing numerous accidents, and obstructing the local bus getting through. And the police and council couldn’t help, so in the end the locals went all round the cars and lifted them out of the way of the local bus. She mentioned toileting and litter as well.

And she had a lot to say about this Mrs Peacock.

She was hoping all these holidaymakers and families did not have to suffer the trauma of COVID-19. My thoughts I have to admit were bordering on not being so generous, but I shouldn’t allow myself to think like that.
 
Good morning all from a windy and cooler Breckland. The Abbott and Costello pay per view jokeometer showed 5.1 this morning. IDK what my fbg really was. Sad but hardly surprised to read of man's inhumanity to man whilst aware of the mote and the beam. Experiments with Dawny baby and jokeomter continue so a good 30 mins on static bike watching the 2000 Ravens went well. Pups played in the garden and Julie slumbered. Now to check at regular intervals. Salmon and local asparagus as main meal maybe even hollandaise a la Food Fairy if'n I didn't disturb her earlier. Have a spiffing day chums and be sure to stay on message.
 
6.2 this morning and the rains have thankfully arrived

Garden drama yesterday evening when her ladyship was frantic because a cat had attacked our robins' nest. She had chased the cat off but the two fledgelings were hopping around on the floor.

So I trundled off to find the nest. Dad robin is a friend and spends a lot of time with me when I am turning over the borders and weeding, so he's now flying and chirping like mad. Eventually found the nest thanks to mom hidden in the eaves of the covered bar-b-q area. Totally wrecked by the cat there was no way the family was moving back so I then had to build temporary accommodation for them.

One of the chicks was traumatised and I'm not sure if it will make it, the other is a right feisty little monkey. I'm hoping they'll be ok but I'm aware that nature doesn't roll the dice the way we always want it to.

The culprit is a Bengal cat named Tansy from over the back. Normally she doesn't hunt in the gardens here, just uses them to sunbathe. So I may have to put a notice up warning the squirrels and birds that she has changed her pattern.

Hmm, certainly something to ponder on. But if I remember correctly from those long hours of RE study back in the 1960s the parable of The Swine and the Pearls in some theologians opinion gives some exception to this. I bow down to your greater understanding and knowledge of such things but thought it worth pointing out.

Those cats are so ferocious, one in our street is only ever allowed out on a lead with its owner. Mind you our nesting Greattits have had a lot of interest from the squirrel community, so far survived their interest, although one squirrel did fall off the shed roof knocking one of our heavy pots with grasses off my bike shed roof as it scrambled to save itself, maybe that frightened them away, fingers crossed.
