What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I sent them an email saying I'd banned him from the office...it was the pre-emptive defence strike DJC...they all said 'on no don't do that bring him in' so we're not completely ostracised yet...well it is in Camden so I presume anything goes there.

Next time. You copy all of Harry’s behaviour and see if you get banned bless him he was only being helpful bring joy and happiness to their day

Good morning everyone from another, at present, sunny day in the otherwise dark and dangerous north.
Yesterday was, for me at least, a day of quiet reflection and a couple of sessions walking in the park and down by the sea.
A toast was made and a reasonably early night.

The wonder wheel of dripping taps and leaky roofs managed, at 0600, to splash out a 5.5.

I note that yesterday there was a buy-the-election involving a very large frog, that some folk are quitting their jobs this morning and that a cake fight is brewing for a slice of the Bullingdon Sponge. All this though pales into insignificance with the goings on reported minute by minute on this fine thread.

Talking about goings on: A day or so ago, a large celebration pack of swanky toilet tissue appeared in the hallway. A few hours later it was on the bottom step of the staircase and then last night was on the upstairs landing. This morning, it had moved right next to the bathroom door.
I am sure that during the night, when I got up and crept towards the bathroom, I saw the ghostly image of a thin old lady wearing a crinoline life jacket and sporting a basket of whelks well past their use by date who uttered these dread words; “I’m only here to create tension and atmosphere”.

Have a wonderful day if you can, Bon weekend.

great fbs chaps always makes the day seem better when that happens.

Indeed it does, although I have no idea of 'how or why'. The only thing I can think of is that I stopped taking Omeprazole a few days back which coincides with the appearance of these numbers. Last nights measure was 4.1, my lowest I think. My diet has remained consistent.

Morning All. 5.5 this morning which is a relief after a week of 6s. Havent checked BP yet. Raining hard here which makes me happy for my garden. But next week we are on hols in Cornwall and I really dont want rain. Lots of walking and seafood planned. I have my bright orange raincoat ready so if I blow off the cliff path my OH might notice!
Some great FBGs here this morning @Bildad you are storming it. I would suggest keep doing what you are doing.
Have a good Friday everyone. Stay well, stay safe.

Yes that's a fair point Goacher… I'm not sure my colleagues saw it that way...at the moment he's stalking the cats food...just waiting for any opportunity to eat it.

I think that Michael Portillo has clothes in way more than 6 colours -
Well lets face it dunelm he does need them to get noticed...other than this dreadful fashion 'sense' there's not a lot to him really

Morning...up at 06:30 today after a reasonable sleep...breakfast & coffees done...'Plumpy' has been walked so there's no excuse for me not to finish the painting...just waiting for the downpour to begin and I will be content to be indoors...even if I am painting (have I said I loathe decorating with a passion)...a slight improvement on FBG woke to a 6.2

It being Friday I have just realised that if I want to go to the shop this evening will have to fight my way past the queue out side the chip shop and not be tempted to join it.

Hope you get a good result. Your bs have come down nicely so I think you are going to be a happy bunny.

We have similar rules when on holiday looking for somewhere to eat! Bet you men didnt know steaks or salads could vary so much from one restaurant to another.

The colors remind me of a scene in one of my favorite TV sitcoms. Wife looks in her closet, says, "I need a red belt." Husband looks in her closet, says, "You have FOUR red belts already!" Wife shakes her head, says, "Those are crimson, scarlet, vermilion, and ruby. What I need is a RED belt!"

All was forgiven ... or so I thought, until this morning when she woke me up demanding treats for breakfast. I lay there and told her it was far too early to get up, she had food in her bowl, let me sleep some more. But no. She kept demanding. Finally I got up ... looked at the clock ... saw that nearly an hour had passed since her first wake-up call and the present one -- she HAD let me sleep 49 minutes more. What a thoughtful cat.

And I definitely won't have to tell her what to say when we call the glasses people. ^. .^

6.6 from the 6/6

6s not good in my book, my personal goal is to be in the 5s. But yesterday was my birthday and here's how it went....

Woke up surrounded by pressies as if magic had happened. Thought I had been transported to britains got talent! Opened said presents and cards. Usual tears flowed. Breakfast in bed offered by hubby. Had a cup of tea with some of my birthday present. Montezuma's 70% dark chocolate with cherries. Best chocolate that's got past my lips since dx. Absolutely delicious. Second course (that's how we roll on birthdays in our house) sausage and bacon toastie. 2 slices of bread no less. Not had a 2 slice toastie since dx either! Not even a special birthday the guy on my left shoulder was whispering to me, to which the guy on my right shoulder came back with a swift 'every birthday is special'. Nom nom nom.

Had a lovely day with the granddaughter and hubby out on the bikes burning off excess sugar! More like sitting waiting for rain to stop for most of the time! Nothing really burned off! Back home to build a bed for son who has complained bed is old and squeaky (it is!) So bit of exercise there. Cleaning parts of bedroom that hadn't seen the light of day for some time. He is 27 and it's his responsibility. Mine yesterday and all is now gleaming.

Daughter visited, more presies, more tears. What shall we have for dinner.. Chinese. With green veg right enough. Dont touch rice at all. Even smelling it would put my bs up. It's my birthday so compulsory 2 courses. Oh yes, where did I put that chocolate. It goes down a little too well with red wine...and nuts, I discovered.

So this morning to get focused again it was a 3 egg omelette with a splash of cream and .......ch....ch.....ch....chocolate....only joking....ch...eddar ch....eese. but having brought the chocolate out of the cupboard to check spelling for my post!!!....resisting ....so far! The packaging has happy birthday and my name on. Sent to me by post from a lovely friend. How thoughtful. It would be rude not to. Kettles on ;-)
