What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Belated birthday wishes deb hope you had a great day xx

SaskiaKC is pleased to announce ...
a gain of "only" 2 lbs. since last weigh-in, some time ago; I've been putting it off since I haven't exactly been eating to the scales. But this morning I was just glad the gain wasn't any greater.

I came back upstairs from the fitness center and opened the windows for some fresh air, only to be greeted by a noseful of diesel fumes. I thought ... then I thought, Wait a minute ... inhale again ... ah. It smells like London.

Question: does London still smell like diesel? I loved it as a visitor there. One year in my life every place I went smelled like paper mills. Funny how smells can call up good memories ... and being T2 I would almost rather smell diesel and paper mills than chocolate-drop cookies and homemade bread.

Not that you need it but as someone once said, them's my onions as well Jess

Thank you hug, @ianpspurs what a lovely song. And part of what I love about being by a lovely lake at sunrise is that you get to breathe the fish-water air and feel the grass and mud between your toes and, when it's warm enough, the water in your hair ...

Glad you liked the song and the gist is very much a heartfelt wish from me to you. You and the kitten cat stay close and if a move to where you want comes about I will be ecstatic for you.

Thank you. I received a letter from the apartment manager there saying that I have been put on the waiting list, which at the moment is about 18 months long. Which gives me lots of time to save up for the move and hopefully a day trip to the town to check it out -- it's been years since I last visited but i keep up with it now online.

Unlike me havent been on here since breakfast. @Debandez so glad your birthday was so special and your FBG today held up well too. @SaskiaKC well done on the weight stabilising. Glad the KC let you have a bit more sleep. It has been raining all day here and very dark so me and the girls had lots of cuddles on the sofa this afternoon. All three dropped off to sleep with our favourite rug around us. @ianpspurs you havent said when your birthday is in June in your usual modest way but I am sure you will get lots of love and treats from your nearest and dearest. Best wishes from me if it has been and gone or even it hasn't.
To all: if you are out on the roads in the heavy rain this evening please take care

Re my birthday: It has not yet happened. It is very close to summer solstice which is probably why I detest winter

5.3 today got my arm protectors the other day they may look a bit silly but not as silly or unsightly as all those skinned areas on my arms oozing blood all the time .

Well strangely enough john, though not similar material wise, i'd guess
but recent indian adventure saw many local men wearing what i would call a sleeve
Akin to a surgical stocking, comes in various colours, designed to help local not go darker in the sun.
teamed with a white shirt, just looks like an undershirt..(sort of lumberjack syle.)

do you have a choice of colours ?

My new phone kept announcing a "major hydrologic event" earlier this week, I was expecting floods or maybe the Water Works draining all the pipes at once, but no. Just heavy rains, with no fear of flash-flooding because it's been so dry here for weeks.

So ... we got a little rain one evening; a little more last night (that I slept through), and then this afternoon a nice grumbly-rumbly thunderstorm and a little more rain. But certainly not what anyone would call a "major hydrologic event."
