What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Winner for keeping up the daily painting challenge despite the adverse contentedness. Tough old gig that contentment. So glad I'm not a afflicted.
Good company, sensible discussion and a little wine works wonders.

Autumn is nearly here and winter is on its way.

Swifts have already migrated south.

Barnacle geese from Svalbard are arriving in the North of Scotland and Pinkfooted Geese from Iceland have already arrived on the North Solway coast in SW Scotland.
Soon they will be passing over my house heading for Lancashire.

I love the seasons and the ways of wild creatures. We humans still know so little.
Life is far too short.

5.9 is the order of the morning. Drugs are working, lung volume is up and the sense of pressure on the chest has gone. All in all a good result so far.

Driving Miss Daisy today and not much else

Fbg 7.1

Dull dark day outside.
Raining.

Daily painting in ZenBrush2
A quickie. Done in one minute. No thought in my head at all. An empty mind...
A bird. What kind? I have no idea, my fingers did the painting, not me...

Good Morning and 5.6 for me today.

Rain here, Tesco shop and then a MIL bungalow visit, it's sold! Now lots of hard work Mrs MC not happy about getting house clearance people in.

Make your day memorable as @lindisfel mentioned time is passing. Keep safe.

Greetings all. Wet and chilly here but the newly seeded and fenced lawn is benefiting. Stabbo has me pegged at 5.3 today which is a poor return for LC woe IMHO but in the circs it may be better than it appears. #kneegate improved with naproxen and tea, tea, tea. 2 granddaughters for the price of one today and the jewel in the crown - grandson- after school Hope this finds you as it leaves me, really don't wish you were here - wouldn't wish that on anyone. See, @Muddy Cyclist I'm totally inoculated against contentment. Pip pip old toots.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.

A 5.4 this morning on the meter of mystery and misbehaving, strenuous morning planned so me and me's shall be juggling insulin again, If this carries on I shall be looking for employment as a juggler in a circus.

Some nice arty flatulent works of art and photographs, keep up the good work.
Well fellow posters what shall we make of today? Media avoidance is a high priority for me, and is it high priority for you all?
Whatever, strive for maximum enjoyment.

Apparently there are no plans for flu jabs at my GP surgery because not enough staff nor any GP's. So I don't know what to do about it because I am entitled to a flu jab because of my health conditions.

Thanks for the cat compliment @dunelm
What about a pharmacy gennepher is that a possibility?

Have this on me - so peaceful:

Lyrics here
Ou mata e matagi Ou loto mamaina toa Manatu atu Taku pelepele Pa mai to mafanafanaga Saolotoga tenei Manatunatu Ki tamafine Maua ai te lumanai Ki tamafine Ou mata e matagi

Your eyes so full of wonder

Your heart an innocent warrior

There’s a task for you

My dearest one

Let it flow over you

This freedom you feel

And your deep thoughts

Our young girl

Your eyes so full of wonder

the original song this is based on, Loimata E Maligi, which is dedicated to 18 girls And their matron who died in a fire on the island of Vaitupu in the year 2000. A very emotionally inspired song composed by Opetaia Foa'i.
Don’t you just love teenagers who know all this stuff

Good morning everyone from a bit of a late start here in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of Bacon, eggs, Heck-it’s-a-sausage and fibreflour slice came in at 4.9 this am

Lazy, lazy day today - must be post bin day blues.
Yesterday’s planned outing and explore went well. We found animal tracks, seed heads, maple helicopters, magic sticks, early dropped conkers, chicken of the woods (edible fungus) and all manner of exotic creatures hidden from view.
Swing parks, ice cream, feed the ducks, spot the herons, back in time for fruit juice and a biscuit. Wish we had taken the grandchildren now!

@gennepher and @Muddy Cyclist - nice and simple but got something down, super duper. As I am on a very slow tick over today I am joining ranks.

Hope everyone has a good day. I am organising fresh koffy if anyone want’s some.

5.1 this morning. Lots more admin today and emails to answer because everyone is returning their Covid-19 forms.

This month is a sort of anniversary. 8 years ago I took statins for 26 days which caused massive muscle damage and my resting heart rate to raise to 100 from the low 60s.

My Consultant told me that it would only take 3 years for the damage to heal. I obviously heal very slowly and it took 7 years for the muscle damage to resolve.

At last resting heart rate has dropped to the low 60s. Over the 8 years it has moved so slowly down through the 90s, 80s and 70s that I thought it would never go back to my usual normal. So I am really happy today.
