What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Well, you could use a piece of cheap plain paper as an interface to enable a 'dirty' iron to be applied?
Thank you @lindisfel

I have some brown wrapping paper for that purpose, should the need arise...

In case you hadn't guessed, I am thinking of every excuse to get out of ironing...

Good Morning and 6.5 for me today.

More gloss painting to finish today, almost finished the whole interior of our house, yipee!

Don't let time bully you today. Keep safe.

You are a very hard worker @Muddy Cyclist

Take some rests during the day if you can...
But I know what you mean, once a job is started you keep up with the momentum until it is finished...I do!

Fbg 6.5

Long day yesterday. Was waiting for a large Amazon parcel. So was either working in front garden, or sitting by open window. Then an internet friend whose head is all over the place because of Covid and personal stuff texted for help. So that was me back indoors. Sat by the open window watching all the parcel delivery vans come into our cul-de-sac, but none of them were for me. It was like a Piccadilly Circus of parcel delivery vans of every shape ind size.

Her head was shouting at her and she couldn't think to function. So back and forth on the chat app for the next couple of hours. Then suddenly she said something that told me she did have a gut feeling about something. So I told her. It was only a whisper, but she hadn't been able to realise it. And then she realised she could feel something above her head screaming at her. It was another few hours of constant chat (at least I can make a cup of tea and go to the bathroom unseen on a chat app!).

By the time we said bye, her head wasn't shouting at her any more and she was able to think and listen to her gut feelings on things.

It was late afternoon by this time. I was very tired and my parcel hadn't arrived. It was getting dark, and I couldn't go to sleep and leave that outside until morning, even in the safe place which is still exposed because it is a large parcel.

I could barely keep awake. So, I started this painting in iPastels, but I was making an absolute pig's ear of it. Finally I put it into Procreate app to rescue it. And this is the result. Then my parcel came. The guy was friendly, he'd had a long hard day. I've seen him before. We talked briefly. He has a lovely friendly face.

Then I came in and went to bed. But I was so tired and my head was banging that I couldn't get to sleep! Even cat Popeye deserted me, saying he wasn't going to sleep next to me and went in the front room! Then when I did fall asleep, he came straight back in, and woke me up with his whiskers, and said he would sleep on my chest now because I was relaxed...

My painting...
It was inspired by what I said yesterday that I saw on the roundabout that day. Procreate helped me create that effect...

Hmm. The cost of great art right there. Being a "good egg" cost peace of mind and rest but we ended up the richer for your art. Accordingly, I gave a winner but hug is contained within. I hope today is less fraught.

A trip round the bay, lovely vista, reminds me of a train ride - here is the poster - now here is the view.

Thank you @ianpspurs
My art work can turn out better in stress situations.
I am having a bit of a lie in this morning, because I am waiting for the sun to come out. And according to the app there are pictures of full sun all day. I hope so, because I will be in front garden where Hermes parcel man will see me (it's Popeye's dementia tablets, today, which are working so well for him at the moment), and yes, more relaxing than yesterday, hopefully!
Thanks.

Terrific sketch of the great Cader Idris - brings back memories from early 1982 - the only time I have been up it. Directly after that it was the long cruise south on the SS Canberra.

An accomplished abstract piece of art. To me reminiscence of many past things, sunlight on early morning dew, Christmas tree lights through the pine needles, busy city streets in the rain, fare rides on winter nights. This is the power of art to evoke memories and emotions.

Winner for the delicious light dappled artwork and a big hug for the efforts bringing your friend back down.

Thank you. 1982 seems along way off, yet the reason for your trip on SS Canberra not so long ago. Strange how the same moments of time can seem different distances away in our minds. Hug for the need of that trip.

Thank you so much @Muddy Cyclist for that compliment.
I am glad it evokes all those different things for you.
Thank you again.

Good morning everyone from the tropical downpour that is the dark and dangerous north.
The wonder wheel of home made burgers and a salad of green beans came in at 5.1 this am

We were going for a walk today - those folk at the beeb mentioned light showers - fake news! Still, it may clear up a bit. Might end up just walking down the beach.

A play with flowers going over in the garden yesterday and also some dry brush and water.
Have a great day. Late for me but koffy calls.

Wow, to the first picture, a play with flowers @dunelm
It looks an amazing fantasy painting to me. I don't know if it is my tired eyes (they are still tired and a bit blurred this morning), or something you intentionally did, but I see the silhouette of a lady's face in the middle with a pearl necklace, and above to the left of her forehead is the picture of the apex of a house roof and the cascading garden below it...

All I have had this morning is a coffee with fresh cream...

I love the dry brushwork of the imposing mountains and the trees down below showing a sense of scale...brilliant!

Enjoy your walk, even if it is in the rain!

I am losing all my eBay bids on postcards this morning!
All my mail alerts are informing of this!
I made low bids on a few items on Monday for today.
But I dare not look into eBay this morning, because my head is still banging a bit from yesterday, and there is a chance if I increase the bid, I might put the decimal point dot thingy in the wrong place...

I think I need a cooked breakfast. There are some frozen cooked potatoes in the freezer as @alf_Josiah suggested may not increase blood sugars (and they didn't the last time I tried it). So looking forward to a cooked breakfast now...

FBG 5.3 this morning.

Why oh why can't I just stay away from all those contentious threads where I just get my self in trouble with the mods.

I have bought myself a few pencils some paper and a book on how to draw will I think devote some time to that now but the book is so thick and heavy I am having difficulty picking the flippin thing up.

I have read somewhere that if you can hold a pen or pencil and write your name you already have the basic necessary skills for drawing. It just doesn't seem to be working out that way for me at the moment.

Oh I wondered why I had been deleted?
