Meant to say, the first thing I do when buying a vehicle is to go find an online owners club.

Some better then others, but most will be only to willing to provide/show off knowledge.

Might find it's not as unusual for your car as you think
And usually there's a good stab at an "easy" solution to most issues

(Didn't actually see what car it was, must have missed it. I'd say Google was your best friend here )

Ford Eco Sport.
It has a door at the back, not an upwards hatch door. So I have to be careful where I park in order for me to be able to open that wide to get my mobility scooter out. This boot door opening was my prime consideration. As was the heated windscreen because we get heavy frosts on the windscreen here.
Google is a good friend!

Good morning everyone on a perfectly quiet start to the day in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of “oh look - a mince pie” came in at 5.7 this am - shocker! Self inflicted wound.

David Tennant and Michael Sheen back with Staged - highly amusing. Park still as wet as an otter’s pocket -Muck Boots and thick socks at the ready. We do like our Muck Boots but unlike those simple wellies of childhood - you can’t really turn them down when you are playing pirates. New book arrived - so that’s three on the go now - my head may explode. The Art of Happiness by The Dalai Lama now sitting next to Mythos by Stephen Fry, The Glamour Boys by Chris Bryant and of course my Marcus Auralius.

@gennepher - Lovely oak tree on the pathway to hope - love that fence line. Thank you for the heads up on the Toogoodtogo app - will have a look at that.

Art today - a scrap of hemp paper - about 6x3 inches - tree painting practice. Bin day tomorrow but enjoy the day that you have been given. Time for koffy.

Cold here for days. Glad I got a cheap fix on my gas a while ago.
8.8 mmo/lt at 0715 hrs. Being good on LCHF and "dry" so wonder where the BG is coming from? I get that morning phenomenon, so I think I will ambush my system by bursting from my bed as soon as I awake to take my FBG, for the next few days.
Also I'll test after lunch 90 mins p.p. as well. Exercise (lack of) is another issue.
Sorry to hear the GCE exams are in doubt. That will be two years of lost income as an Examiner. But I'm a lot better off than some.

Welcome to Tuesday. A toasty 1C outside here. A day for warming food I guess but I can';t find it in me to pretend to want or enjoy LC versions for the moment so Mackerel and avocado salad for me. Drenched in an evo, acv and Dijon M vinaigrette then liberally sprinkled with spinach powder and whole flaxseeds. It will sustain me for now. 4.7 on Swipey IDK if good or bad, protective or dangerous - it just IS. An I am what I am event. Stay focused, go through your routines it is all pretty absurd just now. MIL is 91 today and in the process of moving to within 5 mins walk of us and No 1 son - let's hope she makes it asap. Appreciate prayers from believers.

Thank you, such places, hill forts, always feel moody to me, maybe their location, maybe my overactive imagination, who knows?

A fine use of a scrap of paper by you today that's a lovely gnarled tree.

Mrs MC does have many such shaped in the garden, bonsai , but they have been covered in Bubble Wrap since the start of these hard frosts.

Good Morning and 5.8 for me today.

A fine start here with the sun kissing the Oak Trees on the top of Etchinghill, food for the soul.

Muddy Cycle ride avoiding the hot spots of Cannock Chase, schools out, work from home, don't travel but I bet all the car parks will be full and the. main tracks like Blackpool front in the high season. Luckily I can Cycle there and leave the car at home.

Make the time you have today count. Keep safe.
 
I think placement of such things as hill forts was druided in using ancient feng shui using auspicious meanderings of woad and magic mushroom soaked minds. Yes, Bons need a good tog coat at this time of year.
 
Great that you found new shops. Your shopping now sounds as through it will be much more enjoyable. (predictive text changed it to scary).

5.5 this morning. Managed to do dog walk before it started raining. Off to farm shop shortly to get milk and eggs then on way back will pick up dog food.

Zoom classes went well yesterday. More class members are now trying Zoom. I think because it now looks as though this will go on longer than they thought.

Sorry to disappoint you @ianpspurs but I don't read poetry, the last poem I bothered with was Eskimo Nell and I got into serious trouble for reciting it at a rather important function, rather important to Mrs J I might add.

Well fellow posters, painters and gamers, you can all rest easy, me and me's are back shielding and only allowed out once to exercise once a day.

Was out early into local small town.
A beautiful bright sunrise on way back c.0900.
There was a rosy pre-glow on all the Scottish border mountains and the closest one Criffel, was standing out alone across the Solway showing its snowy top, rose tinted, in its Dumfries and Galloway home.
Still -3.5 when we got home and the country roads were lethal.
