Thank you very much @alf_JosiahMorening, Me and me's gave you a hug for the angst you have been caused, but could have given you a funny for your description of yourself and could have given you a winner for the painting, your additional task for today, if you choose to accept it is to pick which sticker you want on your post.
A great delicate sketch of bamboo @dunelmGood morning everyone from a damp and dreary start here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of red Tai curry wandered in at 5.2 this am - that’s better
Slept again yesterday - mostly but by dinner time was mostly back to my own take on what normal is.
Video call with my mother and a surprise appearance from father with at least a dozen words - a record from him I think over electronic means. They will be getting their second jab in a week or so - Pfizer one - still not much uptake in France - mardy Macron’s big foot in the mouth expo to a nation not that keen on vaccines in the first place.
Art - quick sketch of some bamboo on a misty morning. Hope everyone is on an upward spiral. Time for koffy.

Now THAT sounds like a PLAN even Black adder could be proud of.
btw pics or it didn't happen
Thank you @Muddy CyclistGood to hear you are getting back to your own variety of normal.
Good Bamboo appearing from the mist, some very nice light brush work in you usual accomplished style.
That, in the words of my homeland is "awfie braw"...great stuff Mr MC!Finished the Manicured Landscape series with this not my choice of subject matter for a watercolour, don't do buildings but as I am always open to suggestions and @ianpspurs request for Cricket and Churches to be included this is the best I can muster....
Watercolour A4....... the orange fence is supposed to be a metal stock fence, so badly painted I'm having to describe what it is.

Great! And oh so very true...Todays quoteView attachment 47908
It reminds me of the cricket pavilion when I used to watch cricket as a child at Meopham...there was an old oak tree for shelter against the sun, and you could see the windmill. Cucumber sandwiches I hated...Finished the Manicured Landscape series with this not my choice of subject matter for a watercolour, don't do buildings but as I am always open to suggestions and @ianpspurs request for Cricket and Churches to be included this is the best I can muster....

A good painting, memories of a bygone age @Muddy Cyclist
good evening all
4.6 today
mr gee and I up betimes this morning and off out to deliver the car to the mechanic for a small job (turned out bigger of course).
Not a bad day here with some sunshine but I'm still feeling the cold, still, we got a walk round the village and as we passed by it was weird seeing all the cars lined up at the village school ready to pick up the kids, haven't seen that in months
Hope your day is treating you kindly
@Krystyna23040 - we could only get halfway to the nearest supermarket/ small town on 5 miles, glad you enjoyed your outing
@gennepher - some people are just frustrating aren't theythat's an interesting sky behind your stark tree, very fluid and it has a strong graphic quality
@dunelm - gentle and effective stroke work on your ethereal bamboo, I like the touches of colour too
@Muddy Cyclist - lovely and strongly evoking the 'English' summer dayThe church tower looks just like the one on the church attached to the primary school I went to. I particularly like the lovely light spilling over the tower and highlighting it in it's setting You may not feel that you 'do' buildings but they have worked well in the scale of your landscape.
art bit - from the most recent cold period when all the colours seemed muted and subtle

Thank you for your comments. I rather like being thought of as a model citizen.I blame Govt.
A wishy washy "Stay Local" just engenders anxiety about what THAT actually means on the one hand
And an
"ok I can go anywhere" on the other hand by the more reticent of the population to comply any way
Some manage responsibly other took it as a green light to wander off on journeys of over 200 miles.
Cummings ring a Bell
Some countries, Ireland for example, stated a distance 2 miles was one, I believe, and for France 5k rings a bell, mmhh
As said, 5 miles in London, might seem far,
But in the sticks, you'd do more then that just to borrow sugar off a neighbour, apparently
If it helps, as a guide me and most of west London it seems, travel over 5 miles to visit our biggest local rural open space...gives me no qualms at all
Sat in car :SD tick
Walk in open spaces : SD tick
Sit back in car :SD tick
Glad you enjoyed your walk, hope you can enjoy many more to come, guilt free.
Easing pressure on the NHS by taking responsibility for your Mental health,
By taking full advantage of the calming open spaces 'nearby', the exercise & fresh air
Which are all contributing to keeping you as healthy as possible ?...a WIN, All day long
Makes you a model citizen, imho
Thank you. I am beginning to feel much less guilty about our little trip.we could only get halfway to the nearest supermarket/ small town on 5 miles, glad you enjoyed your outing
Thank you for appreciation of the cricket ground painting.good evening all
