What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Not looking forward to my enforced quarantine it has to be said at the other end but given what I need to do out there which just can't be done remotely, there's no option...

But given what I do and who I'll be meeting eventually, there's been some leeway but not as much as I had hoped. As well I completely over-packed.

Covid has done 2 additional things - created a new normal in business dealings and devastated high level contractual relationships across borders. Sigh - no wonder I've got T2D! (Kidding).

Also, the rest of my itinerary is subject to change as the meetings I will attend are so key, so popping in virtually may be the way.
We have local colleagues and team members who could deputise.

I don't intend to be like a colleague who was gone 3 months but brought back a massive contract having chosen to stay put, but it's always a remote possibility.

Serious business now of eating chicken lunch

This is outrageous - those cushions will do your back no good at all and that table!
Not sure what I did to the previous post which has miraculously disappeared. But here it is again. As I said, it just gets so much worse.

With all them chairs it's Impossible to walk in a strait line, still it will disguise the effect of all that booze.

Defeated by nature. The 50 year old tree had and has more roots than branches. I have spent most of the day trying to get them out and failed. Still, son coming to rescue on Saturday with big axe and Chainsaw and prepared to sacrifice the chain.

Although a slow growing very attractive Coniffer It sadly had to go as it's roots had cracked our retaining wall and paths.

Before Now

So I am now totally exhausted and ache like crazy, everywhere.

A quick watercolour sketch of Loire Valley France but it looks just like Tuscany and Shropshire so the proper watercolour will need a Chateau. A5 long and thin.

Now I have to record me singing Bass to Thomas Morley's Now in the month of Maying. Also 3 Bach pieces for Recorder Quartet and all before weekend.

Both look brilliant @Muddy Cyclist

Thanks for the good wishes. Popeye is good company @Mrs T 123

It's possibly stress from your job interview. I hope it settles.

Thanks @geefull
I like your hybrid. It gives an intensity of colour and depth.

Makes me fancy some grapes @dunelm

Fbg 7.9

Went out to check with a torch at midnight.
Could feel the wind vibrations. And I didn't have my processor on as I was trying to sleep...
Went out. No recycle bags. All gone including contents. My black wheelie was just about to travel down the steep hill minus its contents. Rescued black wheele which was determined to take off for sky travel.
Got up this morning. Most bungalows were bereft of their recycling bags, and it looked like the wheelies had partied hard in the night.
Where did all the wheelie rubbish go?
Bin men came along. Must have been the easiest rubbish collection ever, most wheelies had discharged their cargo to the care of the wind.
I went back to bed, and electric blanket and the furry godfather.
Couldn't care less today about painting.
Sat by front window.
Sky was blue and big dramatic white clouds. I don't have a creative bone in my body today. So I did the scene out of my front window.
Then the seagulls got frantic and began circling...
And black clouds descended with a horrendous rain storm.

So, I just managed the blue skies and clouds...in Procreate...

Cheers for that Ian very helpful - so I may have another week of high bgs - I was beginning to wonder what was going on ...

And good morning Blighty! 0430 Friday as we are descending now...Taipei is not far away.

Slept deeply for 5½ hours didn't stir, my FBG after my dinner onboard is 6.3 - a wee bit higher than of late. Not surprisingly!

Breakfast of eggs cooked on board (wow), spinach and black coffee. Berries and cold cuts too.

Dressed in older clothes, face visor and FFP2 mask ready, all my bags are wrapped in plastic - let me tell you why. Aside from oceans of paperwork, the bags get sprayed with a solution apparently and so do I!
Then into a mini van to my hotel. All booked for a quarantine stay - it has a terrace and a sitting room, so it's more bearable than some.

Apparently it's all very smooth and organised and being the only passenger - it'll take minutes.

I'll be working when Europe sleeps zzzzz

Hope you've all had a fabulous day!
