What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

You might want to try these, they work
https://www.pyracantha.co.uk/cat-repellent-plants-you-cant-do-without/

EDIT just to say which I use on the borders
Scaredy cat plant, Penny Royal, Rosemary, and Lavender

I wish I’d seen that @johnpol I must admit I’ve never heard of your charity but thank goodness there are people like you to help. Bulldogs are gorgeous. Do you have a photo of your new pal?

We had a bout of full on rain yesterday - worse than cats and dogs, this was full on cows and hippos. Even the plants were taking shelter.

As you know I have a cat and love him lots, but I don’t like stray cats. I will give you a better answer later when I come back from the hospital.
I do provide trays/bowls of bark in the garden for my own cat to persuade him just to use them, and he does use them.
Gotta dash. Will come back tonight. Remind me if I forget.

What absolutely dreadful behaviour and so unprofessional. Not surprising that it has preyed on your mind ever since.

Hope your appointment with the eye doctor goes well today and that he/she behaves in a much more professional manner.

Good luck gennepher. Don’t let the idiots get you down. Someone who is comfortable in their career, and who regularly updates their training and info base would not have behaved in such a pathetic way. Shame that you came across the dimwit. That’s hopefully not the norm among healthcare professionals.
Fingers crossed for you that the eye specialist is not such an insecure prat.

What!...gennepher bullying is not acceptable...I'd think about reporting him...how dare he do that to any of his patients

Morning...not up until almost 8am & first on the news is Boris...and apparently we have just paid 2 and a half million pounds to renovate Harry & Megan's cottage...should have given them my builders number .he'd have cut them a good deal...thank goodness I already have my coffee...no signs of a deluge here overnight although I was fast asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow so wouldn't have noticed...lots to do...another coffee first...woke to a 6.3

Actually she’s right gennepher. He was bullying you and that was not professional. If you could bear the hassle, he should really be reported for such aggressive behaviour.

Yes - that's exactly what its like here. Even the dogs don't want to go out this morning. It is rather nice though - sitting drinking coffee with the sound of the rain beating down on the conservatory roof.

At least write down exactly what happened...then I'd consider writing to him pointing out the error of his ways...why is it that theses 'professionals' seem to decry a regime that is giving results...surely they must have a duty to update their knowledge...engage in continuing professional development of some sort.

"and here it's like love island , as me n Lauren fall in love (with Cyprus )"

Loving, the people, the food, the weather.

Lauren can't seem to go a block with stopping to feed a cat or two.

Yesterday we did 18k steps and walked 9 miles wandering around the harbour.

No beach as such, but steps down into the sea for those foolhardy enough (guilty as charged ) to dive into the BRACINGLY COLD waters.
Then a liesurely trek back to hotel, mooching at all the restaurants on the way back.
Spent an hour or two at pool, ( jacuzzi perfect for those weary feet )

Then out to a Greek taverna for a mixed grill,
Accompanied by two gingers serenading us in the hope of a little free food..bless.

A late night drink on the balcony, and we were both ready for bed.

My scores 4.7 pre bed, despite beers & a little bread..
I now wonder if the flight isn't the benefit, as I posted before but all the walking around the airport's. Mmhh

Pics from post.
@HarrisonK ...weather forecast, IF You'd like to use it .

Morning All. 6.2 today and I had a safe dinner. Wonder if the humid thundery weather has any effect. @gennepher hope the eye clinic goes well today and I am sorry the dietician was so rude and unprofessional. I would ask to see a different dietician if possible, in my experience people who are rude to senior ladies seldom change their spots. I will be late posting tomo as I have my second Lucentis injection at the eye clinic at 0800 which will mean leaving home very early.
@dunelm I appreciate your difficulty the plants suggested by @HarrisonK sound a good option or there are things at places like Robert Dyas which I imagine would be offputting while safe to the animal.
Have a great day everyone. Stay well, safe and dry!

Raining here as it was in Suffolk yesterday - farmers were irrigating though.
