San Francisco - I've left my heart there so often it's spawned transplants without me knowing... Working for the outfit I do, it was until last year a 6 times a year journey for me. My 15 minutes of fame - I reversed my rental car into a Californian Highway Patrol Dodge Charger...the rental was dinged, the CHIP car - not a scratch. Thankfully, the officer was called Heather and did the same thing when she visited Scotland...phew. Hertz eventually forgave me lol!Thank god for that
Just what I needed
Some Teuchter, swanning about and posting wonderful pics of exotic foreign places
.....While I'm stuck at home.
I'm wiv the others.
Stop posting pics, & you risk being excommunicated..
Don't say you weren't warned.
Edit:.SO Looking forward to San Francisco..
Thank you... all sewn up. Taken months. Apparently the other day, Chinese bombers were testing Taiwanese airspace...there's jingly nerves all over the island Wan was saying..not surprisingly...Beautiful scenery.
You have had a successful trip.
Congratulations!

The wind was having an all night wild rave last night, even Popeye got alarmed...
My digital painting for today in Procreate...
A walk I took many many years ago from Wycoller Hall, up into the moors.
When my children were little, I took them to Wycoller, and they played all day there in the water, going up the stream, and building dams...

Oh, wow. Memories of childhood - Friday nights I think. Classic playground reenactments every Monday morning anyone? Just me thenHighway Patrol
Excellent - glad it all went well - luxury trip home - great stuff.Just heard word. The Gulfstream is departing San Francisco tomorrow with my senior tech team) and I now leave here Wednesday, 21 days (I think, bit blurry) after having left home. 9 figure contract signed, new friends made. I wish my life was more predictable with timelines...
So a packed few days ahead ...working tomorrow but with time to take photos of the violent thunderstorms predicted, Monday ¾ day off, Tuesday ½ day work, ½ day shopping, evening drinks to say au revoir till the next time, Wednesday say bye to all the great staff who've looked after me, and a big cya later to the amazing Hamish and his Toyota Tank, arrive airport 10am Wednesday, airborne by 1045am (I love the check-in length) and homeward bound, arriving back to deepest Hampshire in the late afternoon.
I think I need yet another drink

Looks great - me and my Thai daughter in law would be digging into that while everyone else ran away.It was billed as chicken but turned out to be beef, steamed rice, spicy gravy, mushrooms, fried prawns and some sort of crabby thing. I stabbed myself 2¼ hours after it and al lwas okay at 5.4...which was a boon
Yes, its Tippy Hedren and Buddy the raven.Tipping my hat there...
Congratulations on sealing the deal - you nailed it - all your hard work has been worth it - enjoy the rest of your trip...Wan has taken me up the hills before we head to dinner to celebrate a contract signed - sunset starting...
He was playing Whitney Houston in the Toyota Tank, and I almost sang "Wan Moment In Time"...
The Gulfstream is confirmed as arriving Tuesday night. Leaves at 1130am Thursday and a planned arrival 515pm same day...so I get home on birthday night for hugs with Arthur the dog and attacked by Gerald the cat as always.. View attachment 48347
I think I will start having 2 brazil nuts a day too - thanks for the info.Did read that thread too @Krystyna23040
Interesting.
Do let us know how you got on
I like nuts, pistachio in particular
Not one I can just have one or two of, sadly.
Take two Brazil nuts most days, good in moderation *
But had given up cashews, so might well try and test those and see if they spike me
Missus bought roasted peanuts, been sneaking one or two () Seems they might be a no-no,
So be nice to have a fall back I can eat more safely.

I started them for point 7,
I wonder if point 6 might be worthwhile information for those with kidney issues ?
As for safety, see end of report
Not something I was aware of. (chocolate covered Brazil nuts back in the day..just have one .)
1-3 daily is where I stick.
Wan is yer man - yer new bestie in the big city - enjoy yer wee day oot with himDon't worry, as the Welsh might say, there wasn't a welcome in the hillside...
Poor Wan has me all day tomorrow showing me this fab city and its lesser known and touristy parts too...
I must have some cashews too - haven't had them in a while but do really like them and like them even more if they drop BS win win!Very interesting information on Brazil nuts. I hadn't realised that there was a safety issue with them.
In the interest of research I had about 20g of cashews. They were so delicious. With great trepidation I did a BS check 2 hours afterwards and found that BS had dropped fairly significantly. A lot more research is needed before I am sure that they don't raise BS. Luckily Mr K bought 2 bags of cashews for the initial research. I had forgotten how much I loved cashews. It looks as though I may have vetoed them unnecessarily.
So house arrest finishes on the 29th March and it looks like cashews are off the banned list. Life is definitely looking up.
What an amazingly stunning place for your dInner later. The Toyota Tank - appropriately enough a Toyota Highlander!
Wan aka Hamish took me out to see sunset...as the night fishermen were heading out; then enroute some snaps to where the 2 of us will have dinner before a drive back to the city...
He's been so great - he is over the moon with the new iPhone I just gave him (and a wee thing for his Missus)...least I could do.
He's given me a ton of info for you @gennepher...I'll work on digitising it
Have a great Saturday one and all...

Snapsies - I feel exactly the same as you re: dracula fasting, I have not had a 5 in over 3 weeks now since I had my vaccine - whereas I was getting 5s and occasionally lower every morning before I had the vaccine - do you think it's related to the vaccine? - I doGood Morning and 6.3 for me today, I give up.
Bright and cold, a sprinkling of snow over night but melted fast. No idea what I will be doing today but it's bound to involve garden, music and painting.
Keep safe and enjoy this lovely Spring day.
PS? I'm not really giving up just frustrated by the Dracula feeding fasting results of late.
