Have spent a lot of time convincing myself she will be ok.Hug for Errant and for you with the worry over your mum.
Good to hear your sister took action and your mum is comparatively o.k. - pain isn't o.k. We were lucky how quickly paramedic then ambulance attended MIL for her TIA. Does seem to depend on where your are in the country. Our son's in laws live in France and have been in quarantine in Jersey for two weeks.Have spent a lot of time convincing myself she will be ok.
We have been here before. "Mum is in a bad way in hospital." Both times she recovered. She is a tough old bird.
Don't tell her I said that!
Anyway, my sister decided not to wait the minimum of five hours for an ambulance and drove Mum to hospital herself. Good decision. There were sixteen ambulances queued outside. Mum and my Sister waited fifteen hours before Mum was allowed to lie down in an examination cubicle, where she slept for a few hours, before being admitted to a ward. Tests today show no major problems. HOORAY.. Bad reaction to painkillers apparently the cause of the quite frightening list of symptoms.
Mum is staying overnight in hospital now. We are hoping there will be some treatment for the terribly painful shoulder, which has been injured several times in falls.
Both MrSlim and I are relieved of the need to travel to UK immediately. We are both planning to go when the quarantine restrictions are eased. Both of us have had two jabs in UK. So think 10 days quarantine unnecessary.
I saw your post about your mum being a 'tough old bird'!Am jealous @gennepher Have never seen a rosefinch. The orange moon you mentioned previously is apparently called the Buck moon because its arrival signalled the start of the hunting season in( I think) USA
Pleased for you that things are not as urgent as initially thought - must be a relief for you both. All the best for your mum.Have spent a lot of time convincing myself she will be ok.

Wonderfully detailed artwork and everyone needs some Bavarian music in their Monday. There was an eccentric garage owner who had a combo named Albert Harris and his Bavarian Stompers. Ahead of the Brexit curve that guy.Good morning everyone from what looks to be quite a pleasant day here in the dark and dangerous north (despite the lies and deception at the beeb weather-watch station).
The wonder wheel of let’s go German with Zigeuner Schnitzel came in at 5.5 this am - must have been the Bavarian music in the background.
Park - all birds matter feeding fest with the girl in the bubble and a repeat performance this morning I suspect. There is a cafe at the side of the lake. She likes to sit on a chair right up to the railings, swing her legs and arms through and wave and point at ducks and geese. She is trying to learn ‘heron’ but it’s a silent order of birds and they are very reluctant with facial expressions.
Art today - there are six bridges in the park, this is one of them. Can’t remember what day it is today - it’s all one big blur when you are having so much fun. Still, every day is a koffy day. I usually just drink water, very healthy, heated of course, then poured over some ground koffy beans.

Thank you @ianpspurs and yes, it must be Monday, hence the drinking songs and BMW badges.Wonderfully detailed artwork and everyone needs some Bavarian music in their Monday. Good that tests showed no major problems and hopefully the doctors will be able to sort out some treatment for her very painful shoulder.Have spent a lot of time convincing myself she will be ok.

Mum has seen an orthopaedic specialist today. He said that as her problem is not life threatening cannot get her an immediate MRI scan, but has referred her to outpatients. She will have to wait for an appointment. He thinks that the bones have been rubbing together and torn the tendon.Good that tests showed no major problems and hopefully the doctors will be able to sort out some treatment for her very painful shoulder.
Also really good that you don't now need to rush to the UK.
No wonder your Mum has been in a lot of pain. I do hope that she doesn't have to wait too long for a a scan.Mum has seen an orthopaedic specialist today. MRI scan will show exactly what has happened.
Mum - and Dad, are now at my sister's house. But this cannot be a long term arrangement.
We are still taking one day at a time.
