What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Oh dear, the world can be a big and scary place for sure. I’ll be doing a lot of reading before next Wed to see how to tackle it. I really don’t want it to last a lifetime

If you can sit with him, with your hands on his shoulders and stroke him so that he doesn’t jump about in terror, he will less frightened because you are there holding him - he’ll still be nervous but he trusts you now. You can just tell him he’s a good boy etc so your voice is also there between the crashing noise. When it’s gone, he’ll be relieved the big noise didn’t eat him, and that Mum was there to protect him. If you do it a few times he’ll learn that the noise isn’t going to hurt him at all. Then the next step, you could go outside and watch it!

Sage advice as always, thank you.

The Internet is back up so I can post --

6.4 this morning, 4 hours ago, after which I was out walking for 2 hours, picking up prescription statement printouts at 2 drugstores, getting copies made, all for an apartment I have no way to go visit. But I got food for tomorrow's non-picnic, which I plan to spend indoors in the AC watching the fireworks through my binoculars and on TV.

A friend of mine just got back from a 4,000-mile road trip. I used to love road trips but have never made one that long.

I don't know why I bother checking FBG every morning, it's always somewhere in the 6s with a rare 5 once in a blue moon.

I hope you're all doing well. ^. .^

I don't know, that hasn't worked for my cat and thunder in 14 years! ^. .^

This posting will contain words that will cause anguish to the sensetive of nature and also those who have no tolerance for the absurd, please , please read no further.

Late afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and those of a robust nature.

This morning's reading a very shy 6.8 which broke wind ( smelly ), stuck two fingers up at me and vanished, I swear my mates chaos and mayhem have been at my meter.
@DJC3 loved your warning only got as far as bin day in your post and read no further ( not quite true hehehe )
@ianpspurs nothing wrong with sport, since I gave up bear baiting, elephant wrestling, rugby, hang gliding, tug of war ( pubs and clubs league ) and jogging I have not been able to watch sport on the idiot box. Mrs J commandeers the remote control, then snarls and spits flames at me if I attempt to change the channel while wobbly Wimbledon is on.
Well folks I hope you have a pleasant evening and may the deity of your choice look down on you kindly ( other deities are available at all good places of worship ).
I hope to be back to normal morening posting tomorrow it just depends on time and reality if the pet lovers extremists hitmen don't cause a problem.

@SaskiaKC lovethe pic but wonder what they are looking at! I love the sound of your Independence Day picnic. Hope you and the KC enjoy it. Your FBG is steady and 6s though I complain are OK. Good idea to be organised with the paperwork because the way life works if you get the green light then its action stations!
