What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Great news and I hope that they will pin down the cause of your pain and other symptoms.

Good stuff and always interesting to see how these end up.

Good morning everyone from a soothingly quiet start here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of ‘let’s start using up all these odds and ends in the freezer’ came in at 5.2 this am

Gifts from the NHS, a smart new screening test kit, one size fits all. What fun! More boxes have been made up and the kitchen is now starting to be cleared. What we need is Mary Poppins’ bag. So much stuff lurking in the back of cupboards, a lot of which will be going to charity shops. No one actually needs a special knife to peel kumquats, a heated butter knife or a pan that knits pasta as it cooks from K-Tel. Off to London on Friday so I expect that Mrs Miggins will start packing her suitcase today. It will need several attempts before it will be done to satisfaction and then when we get there some exasperation about items left behind , such as a self inflating mirror or an emergency finger nail repair kit. I got my suitcase down from it’s slot in my wardrobe and will put a shirt and jacket into it tomorrow. Bin day. Should I confidently roll out the wrong one and sow doubt into the whole street?
Art bit - black ink on rice paper. Have a great day if you can, happy holidays for those who are taking one. For the rest of us, sticking it out on ever colder and windier days, drink koffy.

Sounds fun putting the wrong bin out @dunelm
I did it once, totally accidentally, and the rest of the street followed suit...

Have fun!

Great art bit...

Good morning my diabetic chums. My fbg? I assume I would be around the 5.1 I was in 2015 or the 4.9 I was in 2018 or the 4.2 I was on Swipey last year. Eerily similar set of personal circumstances to exactly 9 years ago - unnerving in some ways. Leo the Great is commemorated today. Our first grandchild shares the name and will be 9 the day we return from Paphos/Pafos. JKP was in a wheelchair having had a plate inserted into her ankle, my mother was in hospital on the downslope to her, and my Dad's demise (same day) - I did not see his coming. Basically the same type of house but bigger and in a far more aspirational close /area. I was still still working trying to cover for 3 weak/incompetent colleagues - challenging . The venerable RR (04 reg) needs an MOT today - heart V head if work is needed - I'll ask JKP to make the decision. @gennepher thanks for the creative. On the semi skimmed thread someone has Oak rash which I am imagining looks like you creative. @dunelm thank for the art and the oblique reference to my hols. Just how much misery would Mrs Miggins make you endure should she ever read some of your posts? @alf_Josiah of course one needs to be active etc. I'm mindful of my builder father who pointed out one day that all the industrious tradesfoik were wasting their time should his design and foundations be wrong. @karen8967 I love the message but have zero chance as yet of living that way. Oh, Anglo American bin day is Thursday and our neighbour is back from 6 months protecting us somewhere secret. He is a very, very good man.

I expect that Mrs Miggins would use her usual three part response like when I suggest interesting and innovative ideas such as the colour code diet - this week we only eat food that is red, like beetroot or toffee apples: enhanced eye roll, turn and walk to a window to stare out of, shoulder drop.

Good National Bin Day Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.

A 4.4 this morning, therefore steam driven slide rule, 5 figure log tables, tea bag reading and finally a good old guesstimate have been required to calculate my insulin dose for this morning.

Me and me’s will be unsupervised for most of the day, planning will start when Mrs J has left the building.
To those travelling, have a safe journey. Me and me’s refer to flying on a commercial aircraft as travelling in an aluminium toothpaste tube at 38 000ft. Hopefully me and me’s will never have to endure that again.
Stay safe, stay well and stay apart.

Hmm. Even more eerie. She wasn't born in Chelsea and sadly swapped in a tragic mix up was she? My version is more vocal I suspect - aren't headphones/earbuds wonderful?

Fbg 6.3

Creative...
Two different black pens, sprayed with water.
It was drawn as cliffs and a seascape..
Sprayed it with the water mister.
First of all went a black mess.
Then dried overnight into not a seascape, but as a landscape with trees on upper right...
One day I will succeed with a seascape.

5.3 this morning. Another busy day today. Have definitely taken on too much work at the moment. Hopefully things will quieten down as it gets closer to Christmas.

Always interesting how these turn out. I wonder if you could use a brush to paint on some water lines to encourage the ink?
