We also had a dog who loved to roll in it. At least when they eat it there is no awful lingering smell.

Good morning,

Fbg was 5.5 at 5.30am.
Had an early start as there was a break in the weather. Wanted to get in a quick walk before it started to rain. Only managed a 40min walk today.

Good morning everyone on another bright prospect of a day here in the dark and dangerous north
Our kitchen is now an empty echo chamber - just a room really, awaiting the conferring of a label. Old kitchen now excitedly sitting in a skip in anticipation of a mystery tour to an as yet unknown destination. Electricians have been in and bashed channels and holes in various places and some rough plaster work done. Skimming today - oh the joy of watching a skilled artisan floating off a beautifully smooth wall of pinkness. And all inclusive in the package.
Art bit - paddle your own canoe. I have no inkling as to what day it is but whatever yours is called, I hope you picked a good one. Must be time for koffy.


 
5.0 this morning. Just finishing my coffee before getting ready for the dog walk. Yesterday was a much quieter day than Mondays are usually with one cancellation and an unusual 'no show' meant that I had a lovely long break. Food at the pub was really delicious.
 
I love the 'stipple' effect on these mountains. I am assuming it it a very dry brush @dunelm
It gives depth and a 3D effect...

Always good to turn a gap in the calendar into something nice for yourself - the people at the pub should be giving you staff discount by now.

Thank you @gennepher and yes, a very dry brush and a light touch (sometimes arthritis rebels at this and decides to go crazy and the joints in my fingers go on strike).

Yesterday afternoon was sunny potting shed, my comfy warm bed there, flask of tea, and writing.
Darkness fell, but stayed in there writing, all my stuff was laid out in there.
But I did take a in a couple of fully charged rechargeable lamps for that eventuality.
Watched those bright stars and crescent moon again.
Finished what I set out to do.
Came in.

This morning I awoke.
The buckets that gather rainwater had been slung around the garden.
Wind?
Went out.
I had forgotten to bring in the empty cat bowls, with coming in from the potting shed when it was dark.
What is that pale yellowish liquid in the bowls?

FOXY LOXY!!!!!!

This is time for war.
I will let you know if my idea works tomorrow morning. It is simple, but should be effective...

Creative today. Laboscope again. But this kaleidoscope looked strange. I had taken it in the garden. Why is my woolly hat in it? What is that horrid flesh coloured stuff in the middle. It actually looked indecent shapes...

I had taken it in selfie mode! It had done weird things to my nose...
So I messed with that middle bit, to disguise it completely. Now it is fit for human eyes. And Popeye was actually already there, but worked on him a little.

Bye...I am doing a here when I am meant to be there.
No time for more coffee...


 
Hello to all. Another Tuesday in Forest Heath on both International Women’s day and the Feast Day of Felix. Bede praised Felix for delivering "all the province of East Anglia from long-standing unrighteousness and unhappiness" which is a blessing, eh @Krystyna23040?. His relics were translated to Ramsey Abbey where both my father and myself attended school and I was confirmed. Also reminded me that a new series of The Last Kingdom is out tomorrow - Netflix. I have been so blessed to have spent most of my life with wonderful, loving women as have so many. They all deserve a Feast Day and a huge apology for the appalling way men have treated them throughout history and still do. I pray my five granddaughters are treated better than women have been in my lifetime. Mea maxima culpa also. Ukrainian refugees seem to be subservient to they shall not pass for our statesman leader. No room for sentiment when his career needs rescuing. John Donne may have some useful insights to share on the times in which we live in the attached extract from Satire iii. Very sunny and clear blue sky here but also very cold. Huge thanks for the kaleidoscope @gennepher and the art @dunelm - little things mean a lot. Take care, no not Danny he was the future once but then weren't we all?

I think you are right @dunelm. Especially as I am recommending the pub to all my clients.
What is especially good as they don't mind completely changing their menu to suit what I can eat.
