What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thanks @ianpspurs - and two out of three ain’t bad.

Enjoy - shiny side up.

Ahoy, me T2D Buccaneers.

Setting sail today in the good ship 6.9
Not the best, agreed, by my best in quite a while

Yearly blood test back
Not as rosy as previous ones

However, when discussing with nurse,
who arrived at my home to draw blood ..
A. Because of RTA
B. Because I'm old and frail

Due to circumstances (2 months pretty much bed bound, etc )
I wouldn't be paying too much heed to them.

One battle at a time, and information over leg, foods, best way forward,. Has been very contradictory of LCHF

So I've tried to be pragmatic and achieve some sort of 'balance'.

All numbers have headed all over the compass away from ideal, and curiously (or not) b12 decline continues .

Did have to ask for it, but 336 to 297 is not what I expected, and I was taking supplements from early 2019 until Dec 2020, when I fell .

Clearly I need to continue and take daily regardless until next bloods check.

So Amazon engaged and some winging their way here, as we speak.

Day not as gloomy as it seems panted .
Little push scooter ticked all the boxes when used for the first time yesterday

(We will NOT go quietly into the night,. Thank you very much..source; best president USA never had )
And where there's a will .there's a way

Local shops been to far to consider walking too, realistically.
Yesterday they came in range, 5 minutes to get there,. Shop & 5 mins back

Smug barely covered it

Same with doggo.
Lead secured , off we mushed.
No issues encountered

Even had the furry nephew seemingly pulling me along at times .

A faster paced walk for him, that involved one or two canters, that became full on runs..

Enjoy the day all.
I'm taking it easy and just chilling from yesterday's exertions.

Peace

The things we have to think of to save that petrol!

Great art bit, and red boats... @dunelm

Hope your coffee was a good one...

Sounds amazing @jjraak

Good morning

Yesterday fbg 5.5
Today fbg 5.8 - a bit too much of late night snacking I think.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Welcome to early (ish) Wednesday in UK and early evening? in Sydney. New Swipey reckoned 3.8 with which I am extremely relaxed (I function perfectly well at that level) but obviously not completely convinced. I'm going to go out on a limb and pre-thank @dunelm for the art, @gennepher for another great kaleidoscope and @alf_Josiah for making me realise how reassuringly normal I am. @Krystyna23040 the dogs must have been walked, the coffee has been/is being drunk and another day of quality teaching or planning for those blessed to be helped by your good self. Enjoy your day safely every one. Infection rates may have gone from the news slightly but not from the UK - Boosterism isn't a viable strategy for infection control or anything else really. Mercy, peace and justice to you all.

Good morning everyone on what looks likely to be another blistering day here in the dark and dangerous north - might even get up as far as 16degC when huddling out of the wind - it’s all relative. A hodgepodge of a day yesterday - a bit of ‘tidy up time’ and a sneaky go with the new bass broom. Waited in for half the morning for a delivery only to be informed at 11am that delivery will now be today - drat - I have left instructions and will just go out for a very slow and leisurely jog. My sister, one who lives in the USA calls that most important of rooms ‘the John’ - I am going to call mine ‘the Jim’ so that I can annoy people when mentioning that I am off to the Jim.
Art bit - a bit of colour. Have yourselves a very merry Wednesday, if you have grandchildren with you, get some chalk out and play hopscotch. But first, koffy.

Sorry about the delivery. Our groceries came at 7.20 am - all the way from Milton Keynes. Enjoy the Jim

Good Morening all, writing this on stolen interwebby access therefore must be brief, no not the legal type.
Bloods were a horrendous 4.1, and to compound this I didn’t pack my sliderule going to have to ( choose your own two or too’s ) guess my insulin level,
Must now sign out, off the interwebby monitor is looking my way.
Stay safe and yes the dark and yes dangerous norf is 3deg cooler.

What a lovely morning to do the remake of our front garden crescent shaped border, we bought camellia in lovely shade of pink, and to complement the pink flowers we added red Robin shrubs along the front wall to add a bit of privacy eventually.
Then two Yucca plants one green one variegated and a Torbay palm to bring all the colours in border together we already had on front wall two well established hydrangeas in pink and burgundy flowers then on the edges of the crescent we thought we would plant some annuals like primula for the moment then add some other flowering plants has the year goes on. But has yet no updates to the tracking on the Mushroom compost or the soil to mix with it.
Hopefully it arrives by lunchtime or hubby is going to be out their majority of today good job it’s a sunny day, I’d phone the delivery company but can’t find a contact number has it’s being moved from Shropshire to warehouse en route to one nearer to us. If it’s not here by lunchtime I will contact the soil company direct and ask them to chase it up so we can get some answer to this process.
After all that BG this morning was 6.0 mmol very happy with that and doctor finally got back to me to say I can come off Gliclizide so hurrah to that, next to be rid of is Frusomide for my never ending swollen ankles with no explanation from doctors has to why this is happening either. Have a lovely day everyone. K

Good news on the withdrawal of Gliclizide. I hope the mushroom compost arrives on time. My homeland had a mushroom compost site which was very "fragrant." I have largely no idea what any of those plants/flowers/shrubs are but I hope the final effect exceeds all expectations. My idea of a front garden is at least a mile between any house and me then a wide grass verge, ditch, hedge and large gates. Not everyone's cup of tea but I like a little privacy - more they shall not pass if I'm honest. Sadly, I now endure a bijou lawnette, flowers and houses I can see. I may be missing "home" but genuinely wish you years of pleasure from the garden makeover.

Hi @
@alf_Josiah perhaps the weather in North is cooler than south but any amount of sunshine is always welcome and we still are able to sit outside and enjoy it all. But I’ve chickened out of eating lunch outside today has our table and chairs are in the shade near bungalow so inside for today. Maybe you never know we could make it happen Tomorrow. K
