What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thanks @ianpspurs

Shadow seems to be slowly yet boldly viewing a possible new home. Smashing use of ZenBrush3 that has worked very well to the destination of ‘there’
Thanks @dunelm

I have realised some possibilities with this new way of working. And it does combine both real painting, and some digital work. I do enjoy doing both.

Just got back from the shops.
Nearly didn't get there.
Went to unlock car but car flashed its lights at me and refused to let me in.
Tried again. It still would not let me in. But I could see the display inside which said it was not doing anything so it could conserve battery life, but I had to start the engine, then it would do what it was supposed to do...
But is I cannot get in, how do I do that?
Stupid car.
So, I thought fine, I will extract the tiny manual key from the key fob. Turned it in the door keyhole. Car flashed its orange lights at me again. No, we are not letting you in until you start the engine to unlock everything we have shut down to conserve your battery.
Really?
Tried again and again, manual and auto unlocking.
No joy.
I go back in bungalow. Google. Google just said use your manual key if auto unlocking is not working. And you will get in.
So I go back out. Explain this to the car, all the while knowing my Xmas Lights neighbour has his top of the notch fish eye security system trained on me, and is most likely watching me.
Let me in or you are in deep trouble I hiss to my car.
Car flashes its orange lights at me and unlocks....
Why are the manufacturers so clever with the the systems they design?

I didn't realise it had started raining while I was trying to get in the car. So, by the time I got back home from the shops, I was soaked to the skin.

In bed now, change of clothes, electric blanket on, and I am not moving ....

MrSlim was , unusually up before me and brought me coffee in bed. So no FBG today.
We had some errands in town, but the car has sprung a leak so that has to be fixed before any further progress can be made.
Coffee in bed - smashing start. Hope that leak is easily fixed.

Sounds far too complicated - I wonder if some of these fancy tech things can be turned off.

I prefer basic and uncomplicated...
Things are too clever nowadays @dunelm
I am sure the car design geeks have a competition to design the most intricate car...just for the sake of it.

Just googled...you can turn it off so you are on manual key only...now when it stops raining...

Afternoon all, sometimes life just gets busy other times hectic. Reading some of the posts today me, me’s and myself think cars are far too complicated and confound us all when not behaving, in olden times we had starting handles and half expected the car not to start, so we all had contingency plans. My sole remaining brain cell goes out to you all.
Blood sugars this morning were 5.5, I shall say nuffin’ about that meter.
Some sad news, I wrote a few weeks ago about my girlfriend number 5 dying she was 90 yrs old, well her husband aged 93 died Saturday afternoon, this year they would have been celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary. In case you’re wondering girlfriend status is conferred on those ladies that make copious amounts of tea. The end of an era.
This confirms my belief that life should be lived for the now.
Stay safe all.

@gennepher good that your car realised that it was in deep trouble unless it let you in. Hope you have warmed up now.

Sorry to read about your friend dying on Saturday, 93 - end of an era but hopefully some good memories to carry.

Yes, get out there and read it the riot act. Cars like these need to be shown what it’s like to live for a day as a horse and trap.

Needs an FPN then obviously an appeal, a day (or several) in court claiming it was following all rules/assured all was fine. Nothing to see here, move along.

I find that a bridge megger plugged into the fag socket (or even a USB one) and then discharged cheers it along - resistance is futile.

I think a pony and trap would be easier than that car...
Although people round here complain and post on the neighbourhood internet site when a horse goes past and the owner does not stop to pick up those little piles the horses leave behind....

Hugs @alf_Josiah

Sounds like a brilliant day

Very jealous

A win for having chosen Mr slim.
(But do tell him not to overdo it, making the rest of us look bad..band of brothers & all that )

But hugs for the car
So reliable ..until they're not

Hope it's an easy fix
