What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Another SSSF here in Breckland starts with a dull sky and is cooler than I desire. New Swipey decided that my fbg was to be 5.6 by 6.09. One hears many things, whether that is true, a good effort or which of the huge number of factors influencing bg most impacted that I know not. I also refuse to believe any wiseacre could honestly tell me precisely how all yesterday's events each contributed to that number. The same inputs would never again have precisely the same outcome - see attached. Safe journeys @SlimLizzy, dunelm's friend, @dunelm plus family and anyone else travelling. Thanks for the art @dunelm. Good news from the Dr @SlimLizzy especially with two 18th birthdays to celebrate. @gennepher thanks for the kaleidoscope and more Tales from The Bungalow Garden. Amazingly detailed observation. Giving the cats names fascinates and amuses me in equal measure. Am I a bad person?. Do take care, stay off the porn on your phone and avoid all other ways of making other's lives a misery.

Snap @ianpspurs - my fbs is also 5.6 this morning.

Daughter rang this morning. It is warm and sunny in her part of Surrey. It is overcast and cold here in Norfolk.

Thanks @ianpspurs
I am sitting early morning in my warm bed by the open full-length glass bedroom door, drinking my cuppas, doing my kaleidoscope, and then writing my post. How can one not easily notice all this detail within one to two metres away from where I am sitting, still waking up. This is usually an early morning observation, because I have stuff to do, places to go.
Actually the gingers may be the Four Mouseketeers. Two are very easily distinguishable - Manky Ginger and Biscuit. The other two are very similar in markings, but one has amber eyes, the other has piercing green eyes. Unless I see their eyes, I cannot tell the difference. Easier to call them The Parade of Gingers, or The Four Mousekateers, because at least some of them are mousers.
Shadow disappears in the shadows, she was so sneaky when she was stealing Popeyes's food last year.
Calico is a patchwork cat, she is stuck together like a patchwork quilt...

Have a lovely day....

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen.
Late on parade, a 6.3 this morning.
Me, me’s and myself have just got home from a chilly ride on my motorcycle this morning to meet an old school friend who also rides a motorcycle, we met up just north of Alton not far from Lasham gliding club. This afternoon he has booked a trip to his local tip and me, me’s and myself will be continuing refurbishing a child’s garden bench seat, photographs will be published later.
Safe travels to those travelling and stay safe.
I shall try and attach a picture I was sent yesterday, apparently the owner of the feline is looking for names for his pet.

Magpie?

Splendid and welcome Shadow to the kaleidoscope

Good morning everyone from what may or may not be a good day here in the dark and dangerous borders of Scotia and the wee burgh of Moffat, famous for the narrowest hotel in the world, toffee, water that can cure gout, cattle rustling and being a dark sky town - what’s not to like.
It’s walking day today and as we have been here twice before, Mrs Miggins and I didn’t have to make any prior preparations. Good job given my prolapsed disc. So, a 3 mile pram friendly riverside walk, a 6 mile round trip and 12 miles (ish) for those who want a day out on top of a hill. I of course will take a gentle stroll up the river before visiting the splendid Spirit of Scotland Whisky Shop and then diving into the Star Inn.
Art bit - a village overlooking some water. Have a wonderful day if you possibly can. I shall now hunt down some koffy (luckily it came in my bag).

This cat is called Pam Ayers.

It is strange @dunelm but the left of the mountain looks like a man's bearded face looking sideways...
A lot in this Art Bit....
Enjoy your coffee...

Fbg 6.5

Yesterday, every time I saw Mr Magpie he was thwarted from getting food from the cat diner by one of the four gingers who appeared to be in constant attendance at the food buffet. He tried to sneak some supper early in the evening, but Calico steadfastly stood her ground...

Also yesterday was the hatching/emerging of butterflies. Red Admirals, Painted Ladies, and male Orange Tip butterflies. The Orange Tip was coveting my Honesty flowers, which are out in abundance.

This morning I opened my eyes at 4 am to Shadow locking her eyes with mine from her seated position on the wooden swing. The cat diner is not open yet, she said. It's still dark and I have only just opened my eyes, I replied. That cat must listen for every movement I make in my bed...my head was still on my pillow.

Creative this morning - a kaleidoscope in Laboscope from my flowering blueberry bush with Shadow on guard...

Now, I am going to shut my eyes, go to sleep again, and wake up s l o w l y....

Perfect Symmetry... ?

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and those who played hopscotch as children, also those who still do and can.
Bloods this morning were 7.2 a hmmm, but still ok.
Here in Tilehurst Towers we have a couple of grandchildren for the morning and lunch, in anticipation koffy is made to enable me, me’s and myself to be ready for the onslaught.
Hopefully attached is a picture of a bug hotel that a motorcycling friend of mine made, I think it’s rather good.
Stay safe all.

5.2 this lovely sunny morning. My kindle fire suddenly went blank and wouldn't fire up. Panicked a bit then Mr K had a go at restarting it. Success - it is working again but Mr K has absolutely no idea how he did it.

Good morning all. Another bright start to the day. fbs at 8am was 13.3. Blood test for HbA1c and cholesterol made for Wednesday following my on line message to the new doctor's surgery. Enjoy your week-end folks.

Sunny Suffolk Saturday here for the commemoration of Pandita Ramabai. I have serious doubts about this new sensor so I won't mislead people by quoting inaccurate figures.. @dunelm thanks for the art, glad your journey was safe and today seems well organised despite the potentially very trying time in that Spirit of Scotland Whisky Shop. @gennepher thank you for both the Tales from The Bungalow and the kaleidoscope. @alf_Josiah those bug hotels look smashing. Enjoy your day with the grandchildren. @Krystyna23040 great fbg and another gold star for Mr K. Have a safe day and hang in there the best you can without making life worse for anyone else.

Love these bug hotels@alf-Josiah, especially the mice! Enjoy your time with your grandchildren.

@ianpspurs definitely a gold star for Mr K. I have a lot of photos and videos of Archie that I have taken with my Kindle fire and I was worried I had lost them. Must do a backup in case it is in it's way out. Did you get your new Chromebook?

A very cool bug hotel!!!

Thanks @ianpspurs
