Thanks Ian, yes I will...Good morning all on a cool start to the Feast of St Mary Magdalene 2022 and SSSF week 29. Hug for the tummy upset and worries over out of date food @gennepher. Shame about the potential profit from that Cornflake box. Take care today and if not eating do hydrate well: probably teaching grandma etc (maybe not a great choice there fella). @dunelm you lucked out there with rain and thanks for sharing the art. Knocking in cricket bats, that brings back memories. I don't think most need linseed oil anymore, usually coated or even covered. Such excitement/anticipation trying to find "the ping." Maybe don't use it for the first time against a new ball - impossible if an opening batsman. Seam marks spoil the unblemished new look. Serious money these days. Take care everyone and special wishes for Derek.
Thanks @Krystyna23040That's not good @gennepher . Hope you feel a lot better very soon.
That is horrendous @SlimLizzyDelivering our houseguests to their next refuge. In Germany. It has proved impossible to get accomodation for them here in France. It feels as if we failed them.
No, it doesn't bode well @dunelmOut of date food on sale - that does not bode well. Best get back there though and buy up all those cornflake packages and get them on EBay.
Chauffeuring sounds really nice.5.2 this morning. Had a lovely evening yesterday. Mr K chauffeured me to the evening classes and while I was teaching he walked for nearly 3 hours around Danby Wood, Marston Marshes and along the River Yare - which are all walking distance from the Hall where I run the classes. The dogs also did a meet and greet with class members. Then I was chauffeured back home.
We are shortly off to the vet for Poppy's post op check.
Don’t panic - I don’t think my Son would part with that amount of cash for a cricket back even if we are from YorkshireHOW MUCH

Class members did enjoy the meet and greet. .There are a lot of people who like dogs and cats in my classes.Great news to hear.
What a nice start to my Friday
& Hope all enjoyed the Meet & Greet poppy so kindly arranged.
Check up went really well @gennepher. Poppy isn't the easiest patient because she hates things being done to her. Archie is the complete opposite and was very reluctant to leave the vet as he hadn't had his check up. We had taken him to Poppy's appointment because she does feel safer when he is there.Chauffeuring sounds really nice.
Good luck with the checkup @Krystyna23040

That's why some people use all of it including the edges.HOW MUCH
Glad you are recovering and hope the senses recover soon.Hello friends!
Missed you all. I just finished my week of isolation as I tested positive for covid last week. Thankfully mild symptoms, however my sense of taste and smell is very weakhope they'll recover soon! I'm just so over covid, the flu and the wet cold weather. It must be winter blues.
Anyway fbg this morning was 5.2
Hope everyone has been well. Stay safe friends x
Hi Jojo.
So sorry to hear that, but very pleased to hear you are improving.
I was aware of the loss of smell & taste when I had my bout
I made an effort once up to eating to pick extra spicy AND extra sweet smells & tastes
Not my usual diet but it got me back to Normal taste sensations in about ten days.
It was reported some said food tasted of petrol, mine just tasted extremely bland, like chewing cardboard.
Jalapenos & chili flakes for the spicy
Yum yums & white chocolate for the sweet taste.
Not ideal but as a short term fix, worked for me
Get even better, asap

Best wishes JoJo.Thanks @jjraak I will try that, it's just so weird when you try to taste but it's just nothing. So my sense of taste is of bland cardboard toohope it clears up soon too
No, I was being a little tongue in cheek, you are of course absolutely rightThat's why some people use all of it including the edges.Having seen them being made probably a fair price for a premium product made by skilled craftspeople.
Update: 20 years from planting the willow tree before it can be used. Needs to season first.
