What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thanks Ian
Thanks Ian, yes I will...

Delivering our houseguests to their next refuge. In Germany. It has proved impossible to get accomodation for them here in France. It feels as if we failed them.
That is horrendous @SlimLizzy
You haven't failed them. You have done your best.

Out of date food on sale - that does not bode well. Best get back there though and buy up all those cornflake packages and get them on EBay.
No, it doesn't bode well @dunelm
If I can get out of this bed tomorrow....I will...

Chauffeuring sounds really nice.
Good luck with the checkup @Krystyna23040

Thanks for the link @dunelm and the transcript
Very interesting.

Fascinating link....cheers

14 mins in they are talking about menopause and how food affects women differently..pre v post menopause...I found that interesting

shall mention to the ladies of the family. Information is power. Whether they use it or not

And liking the no naked carbs.

Great news to hear.

What a nice start to my Friday

& Hope all enjoyed the Meet & Greet poppy so kindly arranged.
Class members did enjoy the meet and greet. .There are a lot of people who like dogs and cats in my classes.

Check up went really well @gennepher. Poppy isn't the easiest patient because she hates things being done to her. Archie is the complete opposite and was very reluctant to leave the vet as he hadn't had his check up. We had taken him to Poppy's appointment because she does feel safer when he is there.

A successful day all round @Krystyna23040
I am glad.

That's why some people use all of it including the edges. Having seen them being made probably a fair price for a premium product made by skilled craftspeople.
Update: 20 years from planting the willow tree before it can be used. Needs to season first.

Glad you are recovering and hope the senses recover soon.

Thanks @jjraak I will try that, it's just so weird when you try to taste but it's just nothing. So my sense of taste is of bland cardboard too hope it clears up soon too

A funny for Archie's love affair with vet ..lol.

But a hug that poppy dislikes it so much,
And a huge love, for the effect Archie had on poppy..

Our belles too hated it ..minute she knew where we where, the pacing & meowing increased, no matter how much I tried to calm her.

Wish we'd had an Archie for those days.

Best wishes JoJo.

Can't prove my method worked, it may have improved on its own, but after hearing so many going weeks or longer without getting theirs back, it seemed an easy choice to make, even if it, in reality did little by itself .

All I can say is mine got back to normal in around ten days, and it was one of the things I did for it , and something worked

Food did taste exquisite for a day or two.once taste was back..nom nom nom

Hears to a speedy return of yours.

No, I was being a little tongue in cheek, you are of course absolutely right

Not a cricket fan, though had played a little park cricket with work etc

When I was keen on golf, I was similarly shocked at the cost of some golf clubs, all in search of that 'Sweet spot' .

The price some will pay for just shaving a fraction off their PB, whichever sport.

Can't really blame em, when it becomes that important.

I guess anything can be proved "worth it" depending how we see things personally.

Pretty sure the money I spent on bike stuff caused Lauren as much shaking of the head, as did her beauty & BAG buy prices did me.

Early morning wake up.

So reporting for duty

Fbg ...mmmh.
Washed hands, tested 9.2 ...eek
Had touch two things once I washed before testing, carefully I thought, but maybe not.

Washed again..8.1....ok, not ideal, but I'll take that ....can only think it's worry & I snuck a few cherries late on the night before

As for now, poor me wide awake at silly o'clock, honestly, I had a good long sleep
Yesterday morning & a good sleep earlier (Friday evening )...so not unreasonable to be awake right now.

Reason for odd sleeps, even if very refreshing, is I have taken doctor's advice to heart and upped the exercise .

Nothing too extreme but more off it then of late.

Simple stuff really.
I try to walk more then I did, when leg being so painful worried me.

Even Got into a little routine now.
I take dog out using e-scooter..I'm too slow he likes to run ..we have a route few use.

Short little gallop for him, as he races to a nearby doggie park

Off the lead, he runs & chases with other dogs usually very well.. (dislikes some dogs for no apparent reason )..so he's contented & uses up that excess energy, bless him

If no dogs there, I try to throw his ball or a stick, but we both grow tired of that quickly

Me, as both are really hard, shoulder still not right, but it's a work in progress., And it's now part of my own rehab
And he loses interest in bringing ball back
And I can't dart at ball to make it interesting
and walking to him, for him to dash off, ( cheeky mutt .. ) just tires me quickly

Lauren meets us after work, THEN he gets the full chase & tease of fetch.

I'm trying to do more of that, with the add on, of walking home using scooter as crutch rather then simply riding it

It's not too far, but far enough to leave me on empty once home

I'd say it's a good ache, one where muscles are once again rebuilding.please god

Recent conversations have seriously focused my thoughts on giving the leg & muscles as much of a workout as possible, before September's meet with surgeon's.

Otherwise all's good
Still not ventured deep with therapist, building up to that moment, it seems

Talk of anchoring & focusing on the 'now'
To assist my 'Recall' if I get too deep in the remembering.

Did a little meditation breathing, rather liked it
Been doing a little each day

Funny how we value time
Doing that before felt like wasted time.
But now ...mmhh.

The phrase "dress me slowly for I am in a hurry", makes a little more sense, now

Enjoy the weekend ...
HAPPY SATURDAY ALL
