What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I agree with that phrase @jjraak
When I abide by its principles, I get more done in the day, and I am more relaxed, and chilled out, even though the day may be a struggle.
It feels as though you/me are being lazy (conventional thinking) because we have probably been taught we should push on regardless.
But listening to ourselves (and our bodies, me being older with disabilities, you with your more severe injuries), without actually physically pushing ourselves beyond what is good for us, we are able to follow the advice of "dress me slowly for I am in a hurry". It makes a lot of sense to me, always has done.
But like any human being, I fall by the wayside from time to time (more than I should) and then I return to it, and life is so much easier and more efficient.

Take care

Agree with you @gennepher

Life does seem 'smoother'.

And so easy to lapse back, too

Hope you're feeling a little better today

Been suffering a bit with diarrhea of late
And a runny nose, but no cold or chesty symptoms

So you most definitely have my sympathies.

Get well soon

A little light humour for those who ride

(Yes, I was reliving the past..and yes, I was bored )

Still true, though.

Remember saying I was popping out to get some milk once...
Shops at end of our road 5 minutes away, if I walk slowly .

3 hours later.........
Still get stick over it, from Madame

Happy days

And just for curiosity value

Google have dismissed the guy, who was saying that AI COULD be sentient.

He's posted his conversation with "Lamda"

Shades of HAL, anyone ?

It’s all moving along- small measurable steps. You always need a watchkeeper who does nothing but reflects upon whats going on so a bit of meditation in some form is always beneficial - What is this life if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare.

Good morning everyone from a glorious start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. I have an old and so called ‘non stick’ frying pan that allegedly has a ‘lifetime guarantee’ but with no notes as to what the average life span of a frying pan is. Also, is it the same in the north as say Cornwall and what about comparisons round the globe. Scandinavian frying pans may well be happier and live longer, not so much in Scotland. Anyhow. I shall try the trick of heating to a boil and then simmering a mixture of water, white vinegar and bicarbonate of soda and then rubbing with a bit of oil and see what happens - Frying pan equivalent of rubbing a battery to get another day out of it. Girl in the bubble over for a sleep over. What fun!, and a bit of respite for mum and dad.
Art bit - some more twigs and stuff on the trees from yesterday. Hope your day is kind to you. My koffy is ready for the plunge.

Morning all on another day ordered from central casting provided your livelihood doesn't depend on bumper crops or lush pasture. Quite the philosophical morning here. @jjraak good news on the extra exercise and reflecting on the balance twixt the fierce urgency of now and don't panic captain Mainwaring. I'd never heard of dress me slowly I'm in a hurry despite having been exposed to a few lectures about Napoleon and all kinds of management/leadership talks and books. Seems incredibly like the way in which top athletes/sports people seem to make "time stand still"/ just have so much time compared to we mere mortals. @dunelm enjoy the non-stick pan experiment. Maybe this will ease the pain if the treatment fails. Enjoy the day with TGIB. @gennepher take it easy again today and hydrate well. Everyone else, same place again tomorrow - God willing?

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who will be unsupervised for most of the day.
.
A Chinese takeaway last night inspired a 6.9 on the meter this morning, I would call that a result, Chinese food tends to shoot my blood sugars, it’s those not hidden sugars.
.
@jjraak thanks for the picture, but for me substitute vegan bacon sarnies on brown break with no sauce and good koffy.
He in Tilehurst Towers the day is uncharted, but a direction has been determined.
Stay safe all.

5.1 this morning. Wasted so much time trying to get the yodel app working on my phone. In the end gave up and checked my Nespresso delivery on the computer. Now I must dash off to work in Norwich. Will catch up with posts later.

Cos when you don't know where you're going,
Any road will get you there.

Enjoy the day

Q. Are any pans, truly non stick for life ?
I seem to have had more then a few
that are not.

Q. Am I now officially a Cat ..?

Kind regards
Thomas O'Malley.

Not had your wealth of experience by Any means @ianpspurs , but I too had similar & only came across the phrase when our Steph had an army friend stay over one time

Made some sense, dressing / planning for war., But really fell into place for me more recently

Enjoy a tailor made day for you.

And holy kapow,

AH....it's like it KNOWS you're in a hurry

Sentient or not ?
Discuss.

Ps hope delivery arrives in good time

The amount of non stick frying pans for life that I have had could probably be hung from the railings side by side from Tower Bridge to London Bridge...

Art bit is great @dunelm
Nice bit of twigs and stuff on the trees....

Thanks @ianpspurs
I appreciate that.

Fbg...still too high...I'll try another reading tomorrow. This being a little bit ill thing plays havoc with it. Good job I did not have Alf's Chinese...

Doing very little of anything. I feel okay today, apart from a couple of urgent dashes...

What is this kaleidoscope of? Who knows? I just pointed and pressed shoot.

Enjoy today.

Make every minute count...

A cuppa now...

Hope you soon feel better and thanks for the kaleidoscope. Whatever it is I like the colours and shapes.

Thank you @gennepher and yes, so many non stick frying pans to confuse future archeologists.
