What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and antipodeans and those that are being subjected to a barrage of media’s lack of imagination. Several points have been well made in today’s posting.
.
This mornings blood sugars were 5.7
.
I was on the motorcycle at 8:07 am this morning, the lure of vegan bacon sarnie and good koffy was far too ( to or two ) strong to say no, so 68 miles later there I sat with a motorcycle friend at the Broadway café in the Cotswolds. Hopefully attached is picture of said sarnie.
Stay safe all.

I am not surprised that you are tired. Hope you enjoy your trip to Hunter Valley to celebrate your Wedding Anniversary.
I had a really enjoyable wine tasting trip there. I am allergic to wine but not to Hunter Valley wine.

If you don't get to post again congratulations on your wedding anniversary and enjoy the Hunter Valley.

Glorious view...

Liking the new Sumsang Mapnav

Sounds like a good day was had

Fbg 6.5

A bit of a mishap with yesterday morning's sd card in the TrailCam. Blank. The batteries were full. Not sure what happened.

So late yesterday afternoon I put the card in early while it was still daylight, and I could see what I was doing with the display.

I turned round to find the sparrows behind my back feeding on the fatball feeders. They are less than half a metre away from me. And they are not fazed by me at all. I sit down on the swing, my Pixel phone camera is with me, and I try taking photos, but the light is so bad. I try a video. My camera is about a metre away from them, with me sitting down (or else there would be no stability at all in that video). I have never taken a video With my Pixel before.

Anyway, I looked at it indoors. Experimented with a bit of editing. Tried to upload it to YouTube which was very easy from my Pixel phone, and YouTube gave me a pile of editing options. But it is still a poor quality video because of the light. You don't have to look at it.

But today's collage is stills from that video. So they are not great pics either. It was the closeness of me to the sparrows which was the best part for me.

The male sparrow came in above the feeder as a lookout while the females were feeding. Then left them to have a chinwag. I have noticed this male sparrow coming before when the female sparrows feed. I will have to get a better video in better lighting conditions.

Now to find what the heck was up with Midnight last night. He came in around 1am and woke me up. He has free access at all times to the kitchen through the cat flap, but I keep the inner door to bungalow shut for obvious reasons with the wildlife out there, but I didn't shut it properly last night. Midnight was insistent I get up and come outside Into the garden. Torch in my hand, I go out. He takes me to his place on the swing, and is very vocal (well his mouth was moving, I don't have my processor on). I check everywhere with my torch but cannot find anything amiss. So, I stroke him, tell him all is well and come in and lock up (if anything is really amiss, he can come back into the kitchen, but the inner door to bungalow will be firmly shut.

I can see him on the swing, it is now getting light, so I shall now go out and feed him, and get that sd card. Please let there be something on it...

A cuppa tea as well...

Have a good day.

Thank you @ianpspurs - 31 deg today and cooling

Smashing, some very good close up shots of happy birds.

Good morning everyone from another hot and steamy start here in the Charante-Maritime. It’s cooling down though, forecast for only 31 deg today and cooler still tomorrow - hoorah! A bit of shopping with dad yesterday morning before it got too warm - a walking route to the supermarket that has lots of shade and more importantly, benches to rest up on along the way. My sister came round for lunch but only stayed a couple of hours as she gets tired and also needed to change her medication patch. Out t lunch today - at a Super U supermarket of all places - they allegedly do a smashing lunch. Art bit - it’s coming along, albeit slowly but as David Hockney says - always stop and look at what you are doing every so often (I won’t be smoking a fag like he does). Have a wonderful day, whatever it is called. I am just waiting for my koffy to brew.

Sounds a good day yesterday @dunelm

So, like David Hockney, you are stepping back often to evaluate the line drawing....

Hello everyone from the increasingly autumnal thus much less exotic East. Here it is a day to remember and mourn the less famous, in particular Benjamin, Ben, P who was killed in action this day in 1916. I have his medals and the standard letter "from the King" his parents received. Which they lovingly framed and displayed and has been cherished by my family. My grandfather, his nephew, was a soldier so he was custodian of the memorabilia which passed to my father. Interestingly though, my uncle did the research for the Roll of Honour from which the attached is taken. Both myself and at least one son have visited his grave. I can only imagine the grief felt by John and Mary P. Meanwhile in the here and now thanks for the video and creative @gennepher. I'm struck by the logistics of you hanging and refilling the fatball feeder which seems to me to pick up the current theme of service to others. All God's creatures. @dunelm thank you for gradually revealing your developing art. Good news on the cooling and the benches for the walk. Enjoy the meal in Super U. We have never eaten in one of those but we have eaten well from them. You've all had your eyes and brains damaged enough by my drivel for one day - one lifetime if we are all honest - so: Be careful, book your jab(s) and plot your own way through these bizarre times where every now and again some eternal verities break through the 24 hr rolling "news" cum reality tv.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen, ok kid gloves off, if you woke up it’s a good morning, everything thing else is incidental .
.
Blood sugars this morning were a predictable 6.9.
.
Here in Tilehurst Towers it’s another day, another visit to the local hospital for results, I am under strict instructions from Mrs J to take copious notes with or without spelling and grammatical errors. I been informed again by Mrs J that I only listen to what I want to hear.
.
So far this morning tea is drunk, safety koffy is being drunk as I type this, 30 minutes plinky plonky scales, F#minor, F# and contrary motion F and lastly LFT test for the hospital visit, -ve. Unfortunately no motorcycling today.
Stay safe all now I must depart and annoy Mrs J.

A poignant memory @ianpspurs
A few tears shed here...

love the video and the village @gennepher

Am looking forward to seeing your picture evolve @dunelm

Yes @ianpspurs definitely a day to mourn the less famous members of our own families.

I hope the results are everything you want and the notes pass muster.
