What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Loving the continuing evolution of midnight with forever mummy.

Pity about the sparrows being raucous.

And best wishes jabbity jabbity goes well.
Thanks @jjraak
I got a surprise...it was two jabs.
One for Covid.
And one for flu because my so called GP surgery is doctorless, and nothing is being organised from there.
Double jabbed on same day hadn't been my intention.
But so far, all is good...

Thank @ianpspurs

Last year was a nightmare getting a flu jab, and organising one.
Double jabbed on same day hadn't been my intention.

So much is horrendously expensive now.
Maybe you should buy in bulk...
But then you need to build a bunker to store this stuff in secret...

Hopefully your reaction to the double jab will be mild. The chocolate orange is this and definitely smells and tastes of orange which reminds me of pre-LC. Postage for the German bars is £12.90 however many I buy so bulk buying would work. The issue with buying in bulk is, as you say, storage plus I detest erythritol so I need to try single items first. The German bars have no horrible aftertaste and are my favourites. Their advent calendar was wonderful. You should rest up and have plenty of cuppas.

I was double jabbed last year and, other than a slightly sore arm, there were no ill effects at all. Expecting the same this year - later this week, if I remember correctly. As with everything else, each individual acts, or reacts, individually. Just hoping your reaction is as negligible as mine was last time.

Interestingly, I saw a doctor today for the first time in months. That is to say, I caught sight of him as he swept through the reception area of the Health Centre where I was waiting to see the nurse. They are a species rarely visible these days; perhaps they should be on the list of critically endangered species.

Thanks @ianpspurs
I am entertained by those sparrows outside my bedroom door.
Those bars look good, but too many sweeteners for me. I will accept xylitol because I use that for my dry mouth, but not the others.
It is hard to buy to try out single items often.

Thank you.
Plenty of cuppas!

I didn't feel the Covid jab at all @Annb I didn't know she had done it. The flu jab I did feel, and there was a sudden pain all around the top of my arm, but it immediately vanished, and has not returned.

Thanks for your wishes.

A doctor! You saw a doctor! That rare species...
Where's the smelling salts...

I am so far behind reading the posts. It has been such a hectic couple of days. How wonderful that Midnight spent the night in your kitchen. Lovely painting of him on the Kitchen chair.

There are some really lovely walks in Thetford forest. I bet the dogs also really enjoyed their walk also.
That is really appalling @Annb

Good news. The Department has a representative on the Island, just nowhere to meet up with clients. But they have managed to borrow a room from the local council to meet Neil next week. It appears that this benefit is still in its rolling-out phase and still has teething problems - fairly important ones, it seems, if they can't even afford an office of their own (and can't use the facilities of the DSS, or whatever it's called these days).

FBG 9.5 at 4.15 this morning.

I had been waiting to see my doctor for weeks but got to see her on Tuesday. I showed her my rash but she just ignored me and kept pushing her trolly round M&S

Good morning everyone on a full on hectic start here in the dark and dangerous north. Girl in the bubble stayed over last night so Mrs Miggins had to get her up and out for nursery for 0730. HbA1c today at the GP surgery. This will be interesting as I have strayed from the low road lately. I shall call it an experiment. There, sorted and a good marker to jump back into line. No more beer frenzied midnight bowls of Kelloggs Frosties for you my lad even if they are grrrrrreat! Art bit - some monochrome, so avant-garde. I hope that you all have a most pleasant day, we are awaiting the excitement that is the cavalcade of the bin lorry. But first, some koffy.

It's getting better and better. Love the monochrome. The steps with plants growing through them remind me of a photo I took years ago of an old castle in Wakayama of a set of steps with a fairly mature tree growing in the middle, looking as though it was tip-toeing down the steps on the points of its roots. The castle was burned down and the gardens ruined in WW2. They rebuilt the castle but left the garden to go fairly wild. I wonder where I put that photo.

Presumably having both the Covid and flu jab yesterday.
My arm hurts like mad. Just the bit between elbow and shoulder. And I am incredibly sleepy. So I have been sleeping a lot. I had a good long night' sleep, just woke up when I needed more painkillers.

Got all doors and windows wide open. Hoping the fresh air will wake me up. And I have the electric throw on top of me to keep me warm. That will stay on all day if needs be.

Now all I need is cat Midnight to learn how to make cups of tea, and keep me supplied with them...

This video on YouTube was made from Sunday night's escapades on the wild life trail cam.

And also is a short on YouTube of Badger Kissy Kissy rocking cat, Midnight on the swing...
This is also from Sunday night.

I am not up to doing a drawing/painting this morning. I still have this need for sleep. So, a kaleidoscope it is for today. Pointed at my open door into the garden...

I am not ill as such after the Covid jab, but the jabbed arm keeps giving intense waves of pain, and my brain wants to sleep. So, I will go along with that...

MIDNIGHT! Where are you? Where's that cuppa tea?

That is good news for Neil and everyone else in the same situation. A bit worrying that they can't afford an office of their own.
