InterestingGood job I had my radar key on me mind as the only shop in town open was Sainsburys and it’s too small a branch to have ‘facilities’
Extra hugs for you all @jjraakMorning
A veritable 7.3 after yesterdays pleasures.
A dry & sunny start to the day here.
Early start here...(yeah yeah, but early for me..lol )
Lauren got some bad news a week or two back.
Old work friend very poorly.
They became very close around time of Laurens mums death .
Lady almost became her 2nd mum, giving so much care to her.
Anyway, she's sadly been given only a few months.
Her daughter's have graciously given of that time to allow Lauren to come visit today.
So we're headed up there in a bit.
I know the family & as I'm driving her up I was happy to just deliver and stay close by & return to collect, but they insisted I stay.
So unsure what the day brings, but I expect it to be a heady mix of laughter as stories get told, iron wills as each tries not to upset the other & unfettered tears at points,
Hope the day offers comfort of sorts all round.
A day of telling those you, how you feel, while you're able, I'd say.
Take care, all.
Lovely post @gennepherAnd this is the first time Jade has come right up to the glass while I am immediately the other side of it. Jade can always come in the bungalow through the kitchen cat flap, and does so when I am not watching, and cleans up a plate of Midnight's wet food.
Beautiful colours and composition - we are going backwards into autumn. Good to see that Jade is getting more settled with you.Fbg 6.8
It looks like I can have that hot soy cereal dink to take my meds with in a morning!!! It raised bg a tad, but soon went back to normal.
Midnight is hardly leaving my side at the moment, even during the night. He is not visiting Jade as much in the night, according the the wildlife cameras. In fact yesterday afternoon, while it was still light, I was putting out Jade's last meal, and checking there were a few bits left out for the foxes - usually the remains of Midnight's wet food that he leaves (he prefers biscuits over wet food, but does lick the jelly or gravy off - I am being economical as it is possible and still feed everyone!).
And Jade was watching her fresh sachet (she eats the whole sachet, meat as well as jelly/gravy) being put out. Midnight checked what I'd put out for Jade, gave a couple of perfunctory licks of it (approved it, or just nicking a little of the jelly/gravy!) and I came back in, Midnight followed me and I locked the door. But Jade came up to the all glass door and looked at me. And I felt as though she was accusing me of locking her best friend inside my bungalow (probably I felt that because I knew from the wildlife cameras Midnight did not appear to be visiting Jade as much, it was still several times a night, but he was initially checking on her every half hour or so during the night), but also she could have been thinking about wanting to be indoors as well.
I didn't re open the door, because most likely she would have run off into the bushes. And this is the first time Jade has come right up to the glass while I am immediately the other side of it. Jade can always come in the bungalow through the kitchen cat flap, and does so when I am not watching, and cleans up a plate of Midnight's wet food.
Wildlife camera nighttime antics...
Cats & Fox on Nighttime Wildlife Camera
Jade is the cat asleep/awake in the middle of the swing.
Skinny Fox is the dancing eyes in the bushes watching her.
House Cat Midnight checks on his best friend several times a night.
Foxy Loxy is doing a lot of mooching around...
Creative is a digital painting of winter...
My garden looks as green as the digital painting, a lot of deciduous leaves are remaining on my trees and bushes. My oak trees retain their brown leaves all through winter.
Time for a cuppa.
Have your best day.

Such sad news for you on your return from a wonderful time with family.5.6 fbg yesterday, 6.6 this morning.
We arrived back home yesterday after a wonderful time with our family.
Received a really sad phone call from the husband of a long term friend to let me know she has died 2 months after receiving a shock diagnosis of cancer.
Although we haven't met up since they moved away 30 years ago we wrote to each other regularly and I really used to enjoy reading her letters. I still am shocked by the news.
Today's poem is especially meaningful this year (and the last few). I do like the message that oppressors have to face judgement in the end. And a reminder that, whatever our trials in life, we are not facing them alone, even though we may think so sometimes. Of course, we, on this forum, have other forum members to support us - in a truly spiritual way. I won't say "a Christian way" because I'm sure that many on this forum have other belief systems, but it is one part of the Christian heritage which we celebrate at this time of year, especially.Good morning everyone from The Brecks where there are big tears for Holy Innocents Day which some scoffers will just call rain. Tea from a teapot is a vastly superior beverage to that made via teabag in a cup. Who knew?IF today so black Darjeeling until about 10.00 am then Assam with almond milk. Lovely as it was to share Christmas with the Winchester gang, sleeping in a blow up bed for four nights wasn’t the most restful experience. The sofa and that bed were not good for this tatty old tent but half a day here has made a big difference for the better. @gennepher that creative is very autumnal as has been said. Thank you for sharing and really good news on the soy cereal drink.@dunelm thanks for sharing the latest installment of your art. Enjoy the Ninky Nonks - was that Orca quip an oblique reference to MM? either very brave or very foolhardy; vote now via the red button. Some wonderful accounts of the love shown to refugees from Ukraine this year (with a focus on Christmas) on the radio during our journey yesterday. Today’s poem links well and is a reminder that Christianity has a much harder edged message which just doesn’t "shift product" and interferes with "cultural Christianity" as per Polly T. There is cultural/professional Social Democracy as well Polly and they align remarkably closely imho. The uniforms are interchangeable Yesterday’s poem and art also has a harder edge - crux. Here, today will be/has been (yes, I am) a day collecting thoughts then dogs before a limbering up for a second Christmas as understood by those living 800 ish yards away and those from Cambs: You?
A noisy, lovely & mad day it sounds...SWIMMING. TODAY..Good morning everyone on a very noisy start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. The Ninky Nonks are up and about, playing with newly acquired toys and having a whale of a time - wonder how that happens? The good thing about Orcas is that they do killer whale noises. Little Miss Pamplemouse is sensibly sleeping through the whole thing. Swimming is on the cards today but I am giving it a miss. Art bit - some more detailing. Have a wonderful day if you can, I am going to make more koffy.
