About 30 years ago Helen went to NZ for a year in the North Island working for Hawkes Bay Health Service.
On holiday with her boyfriend in the South Island she decided to jump off the bridge at Queenstown where they went off a bridge on the end of a bungee! I don't know whatever she was thinking of, cos it gave her post bungee stress.
She said afterwards she then knew what it was like falling out of an airplane!!!
We have seen the video!

Yes and very heavy.
Hence Jesus after his beating found just the cross member heavy to carry. The victims were nailed to the cross member on the ground through their wrists then hauled aloft, the upright being already a fixture in the ground. The slot in the cross member located with a tongue on the upright. Then the feet or lower legs were nailed so they could breathe in agony and not die too quickly.
The fancy word for the cross member is patibulun.

Good morning everyone from what looks to be another marvelous day here in the future that is France. Lovely and warm over the past couple of days but only if you are in the sun - step into the shadows or walk on the shaded side of the street and it’s still quite chilly. Lunch out today. My parents tend to do at least two days of lunch out each week. It’s their main meal of the day and lunch out is invariable two courses. Art bit. Some more detail but it’s a bit slow at present. Have the best day that you can have, I shall finish my koffy and go for a walk.

I am in a sheep phase at the moment.

I had to refill the kitchen cat biscuit bowls in the early hours of this morning. It was all gone again by dawn.
I was in the front room earlier and the door coming from the kitchen was pushed open. I couldn't see who it was, but said hello thinking it was Midnight, but whoever it was turned tail and ran, shot out of the cat flap like a bullet.

Time for a chicory coffee.

I know as well explained as it was by trainer, sometimes we need other ways/routes to help us understand 'how' to do something new.

I didn't realise trainer was observing from across gym, quite liked when she came over & she said I should try teaching ..

Morning all. @gennepher thanks for another sheep creative. I'm thinking pointillism but what do I know, what do I know?. @dunelm you must be enjoying all those meals out or at least I would as I have this idea that French cuisine and France in general is more sophisticated than Perfidious Albion: at least the mythical version being sold these last few years. Probably just their superior PR and leaders. Thanks for the art which far from a ruin shows the enduring strength of something well planned and constructed with skill, care and accordance to eternal wisdom. Odd day here yesterday. Extra school pickup and quick turnaround to take grandson to stage school in the town of midget jockeys. MIL in hospital with pneumonia, JKP and No 1 son back home late with a Chinese takeaway. I ate four sweet and sour pork balls - amazingly wonderful with crispy batter and they were hot. Both of which I feel is a USP for that provider. Earlier, I had a good telephone consultation including result of the scan from a couple of weeks ago. Off into The Fens soon to my parents' grave then back here for rugger oggling. Deep breaths as half term next week with 2 days of 4 grandchildren scheduled. Y'all have as good a day as circs allow.

Today I have lots to do, but my will power seems to have gone on vacation, therefore I might spend the day on the sofa reading a book I have been lent. The SAHB story, the tale of the sensational Alex Harvey band. Luckily the book has plenty of pictures.

Now it is time for me to take medication and consume safety koffy.

FBG 6.1 at 2.45 am. Cup of tea. Unusually, I couldn't get comfortable in the chair so went back to bed. Woke up about 8 am by which time BG was 8.9.

DIL is down somewhere near Norwich right now. She's delivered all the pups to their new homes and is collecting her new dog - a basset hound. He currently lives somewhere around Norwich but I don't know where. He's already grown up, so no more puppy problems and he's too short to get over the fences. It's going to be a bit of a shock for him coming to our climate and meeting up with Banksie who must be at least twice his size.

Alistair and Em have gone on this morning's ferry to deliver the remaining 5 pups to places in the north of Scotland and then get back to Inverness this evening and do some shopping in the morning before heading back to Ullapool and the ferry where, with luck, they will meet up with the other expeditioners and travel back together. It has to work - DIL has a job interview on Monday. It's a part-time job that would allow her to keep the laundry going at the same time. She's finding the care work she has been doing too heavy and her damaged neck just isn't up to it.

Pointillism drives me mad...too much hard work. I have tried it. Call this rough broad stroke random pointillism if you like @ianpspurs
