Really interesting that monbretia shoots are earlier than usual. I do love seeing the beginning of spring. Crocuses are lovely - so colourful.Snowdrops didn't survive here but crocuses did. However they're not showing through the ground yet. I was surprised to see some montbretia shoots about 2 inches tall under the big fuschia bush in front of the house. They are usually later than this. Everything else has been blasted by the wind and cold.
I've never heard of FODMAP, but it looks interesting. I am supposed to be seeing the dietician sometime soon and will ask her about that. I am familiar with the idea of elimination diets and have used them, but never to the extent of getting rid of most foods and then reintroducing them - it's usually been just one at a time which, of course, can lead to some degree of an irritant sheltering behid some other foodstuff. There is an enzyme called raffinose and you may be intolerant so maybe check that out. Could also be short chain carbohydrates as they can cause bloating and nausea in some people. Have you tried FODMAP and an elimination diet to see what works and what doesn’t?
Smashing artwork again and thank you for your Procreate brush mentions. Let’s hope that big ginger calms down a bit - that big ginger in Montecito is still ranting on.Fbg 6.6
Wildlife Camera...
Two ginger tom cats...
Unfortunately the first clip finished before they had finished yowling (my trail camera is set for two minute clips which is usually enough), but not for this one. The last few seconds is the next clip, which started a few seconds later. And you see the newcomer ginger tom sitting down, and GhostCat1 walking away.
So, who won the yowling match ?
Creative is another digital painting of a sheep.
There are 3 brushstrokes I use in Procreate.
First in Painting, I use Flat Brush.
Second in Inking, I use Syrup and Thylacine.
Oh dear. I woke up at 3:30 am to Midnight, obviously having leapt from the floor on to my chest...
Unusual.
So, I decided I needed a cuppa tea.
I go into the front room, only to come face to face with that magnificent massive handsome ginger cat, with amazing striking markings, who the other day who was sunbathing in my garden, and who is also on the video above. And his ginger colouring is so vivid that it literally shines.
I look at Midnight who is sitting beside me looking into my eyes. "Do you like my new friend," he seems to say?
The strange ginger cat was frozen in fear of me. Then he suddenly bolts into the back of the bungalow. When I catch up with him he's trying to get through the closed glass window and the closed glass doors. He is hanging on to the other side of my curtains, the downward shreds in my curtains getting longer and longer with his sheer weight. I cannot get to the key in case he accidentally attacks me.
I say "It's okay, it's okay..."
He pops his head round the curtain, and looks at me, and I do the slow blink to say I'm a friend. He starts to do the slow blink back at me, and then it is like his brain has kicked into gear and he saying to himself, what on earth am I doing with this strange lady, and he went into his complete headless chicken routine again..... he can climb walls, he can climb up to the ceiling , but no magic door opens to let him out. He is intensely powerful, nearly knocking me over as he tries to flee past me.
I cannot get him to go to the kitchen catflap again, and in desperation, I open all the doors in the bungalow, praying the fox or the badger doesn't come in.
Finally that ginger cat is gone.
All the while this was going on, Midnight was totally laid back, sitting calmly on the floor looking at me. He was not fazed in the least with this stranger ginger tom in my bungalow.
My art study now looks like a demolition crew just attacked it. And I have a new design in curtains...
Have your best day...

Magnificent finish to your painting @dunelmGood morning everyone from a dull start to International Bin Day here in the dark and dangerous north. We have received a moderate wind warning for tomorrow so there will be surfers galore. Mrs Miggins had some gardening planned for today so I will gleefully watch through the window if she ventures out there in this drizzle. Always a bit tricky when trying a bit of hoeing and holding an umbrella - think circus act but without the wire. Books now sorted, well the ones presented at least. A choice selection now on the book case (approximately 30 % of those presented @ianpspurs) and the rest to go to new homes. Art bit, color added so now on to something else. Have a smashing day if you can. Koffy is now brewed.

For a long time everyone was asked/expected to test before visiting Mum or attending an event where she would be present. This has been so effective that this is the first time Mum has caught Covid.Sorry to hear that your mum is suffering from Covid but happy to hear that she is a bit improved now. Good to know that she won't be alone.
Did anyone else test before visiting your mum? It doesn't seem to be a thing that people do these days. She could have caught it from anyone or anything so I don't think you should worry too much that you didn't get tested before visiting her - you still don't have any symptoms, so wouldn't have been "shedding" the virus. If your mum has had her vaccinations, that should have prevented the virus harming her too much.
Omg ....what a thing to be faced with .....and in the early hours especially. The strange ginger cat was frozen in fear of me. Then he suddenly bolts into the back of the bungalow. When I catch up with him he's trying to get through the closed glass window and the closed glass doors. Alf your the kind of grandad small children love!Sad national bin day Morening here in Tilehurst Towers, sad because no time for a slow start, the onslaught of grandchildren, arrive in approximately 28 minutes, oh time why hast thou deserted me, me’s and myself.
Blood sugars were 5.2 and now I must *ug*er off and prepare for the marvellous opportunity to invent all sorts of mischief.
Stay safe.
Indeed, confusing...(and likely intentional , imho )Very odd. looks like it’s telling us that vehicles over 2.2m wide are forbidden, everyone else, passing left is compulsory but you never know nowadays.
Sounds like an exciting morning with a lot of chaos and mayhem. I wonder if the ginger cat will venture back into your bungalow - or were you just too scary.Fbg 6.6

Actually it is highly unlikely that it was you or MrSlim that infected your Mum as you had no symptoms. For a long time everyone was asked/expected to test before visiting Mum or attending an event where she would be present. This has been so effective that this is the first time Mum has caught Covid.
MrSlim and I have got out of the habit of testing and didn't even think of it. Of course Mum goes out to meet friends, shopping, eats out sometimes and we did take her out for a pub lunch. There are many possibilities. I just would feel happier if we could say we tested, it wasn't us.
Edit. No FBG this morning. Half asleep coffee to wake up. Oops.
Than you @gennepherMagnificent finish to your painting @dunelm
I got rather a surprise there...Omg ....what a thing to be faced with .....and in the early hours especially.
Agreed, a cat in a flap, IS best avoided.
They're like a shredding machine..eek .
Good you got him out, without any bloodshed .
Good painting, too
I need to catch up on my sleep now I might have a nap after lunch...Sounds like an exciting morning with a lot of chaos and mayhem. I wonder if the ginger cat will venture back into your bungalow - or were you just too scary.
Enjoy your day at work!!!Morning
Just getting ready for work.
Never thought I'd be saying THAT with such joy ....
Very naughty last night
Lauren had a veggie recipe.
So we made it .
Was delicious but not filling enough for me.....so greedy ate a lot of rice...eek.
Tested this morning...didn't dare do it last night and lie awake overthinking it
6.7....mmmmhh.
Not impressed with myself, at all.
Lesson learned, nothing to see here...move along..
