Thank you for sharing the latest development in both your indoor footwear and art. Quite the contrast between the more detailed side and the rest which bodes well for the final reveal. You tease us sir. Cherish your time with those grandchildren and their parents when they arrive. You don't need me to tell you that.Good afternoon from the chaos and mayhem that are the ninky nonks and little miss pamplemouse who we went to collect this morning. Yes, it’s half term and time to visit the grandparents - their parents will arrive Friday evening after work. What fun. It’s also a new slipper day for grandad as his current ones have now given up the ghost. Replacements arrived this afternoon and I had forgotten how snugly they fit when new. Tomorrow is International Bin Day so the old ones will not be hanging about long. Art bit, adding some flesh to the bones. Hope you are all managing to have some pleasure in the day. I am looking forward to my phone consult with my GP tomorrow.

Thank you @dunelm - have bookmarked these articles as they are really interesting.Good morning everyone on a damp start here for International Bin Day in the dark and dangerous north. The ninky nonks are up, breakfasted and dressed already and now doing some coloring. They are all going skating this morning with Mrs Miggins, one of their Aunts and a couple of cousins - what fun! I have to stay behind because, well, as it happens, my doctor will phone mid morning - what luck! A couple of interesting articles about Food and meals that will spike your blood and Other things that spike your blood other than food. Art bit, filling in the right hand side. Have the best day that you can. I shall make koffy and look forward to a nice quiet morning.

I was out early and I need a nap now...
Just been watching by the window in case of a package delivery, but they are letter box friendly.
Postie delivers up to 1pm on these particular tracked parcels, so I will make another cuppa and then have a nice nap in the afternoon sun...on the warm side of the window.
Creative is another sheep painted in Procreate...
Have a good rest of your day...
Say positive words to strangers.
I did this morning. It brightened up a few faces...
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Sorry to read about MIL. Take the best care to monitor possible dehydration, it’s nasty and can be easily overlooked by overworked staff. Can JKP speak to her care team about it? Being pounded with home care costs is a real worry. Might be better off to sell your house and move into social housing while still working and then blow it all on some decent holidays. Don’t forget to sell the candle sticks.Afternoon all. @gennepher i hope you enjoyed the cuppa and the parcels arrived. Thanks for the wild and not so wildlife both on video and created by you. @dunelm thanks for sharing your art and those two useful links. I hope the consultation and skating went well. @Krystyna23040 wonderful news on your beta cells returning to more normal functionality. @lindisfel thoughts and prayers with you all for biopsy results, pre-op then the op. MIL has managed to catch COVID in hospital since her last test on the 18th. - part of about an A4 page of test results - all negative. JKP - tests negative for COVID - is now the only visitor allowed and only for an hour. MIL is now very confused, disorientated and wanting to come home. She is worse at night and early morning so JKP has phone calls. None of which is helped, may even be caused, by dehydration. So far no drip or sedatives given but hopefully things can only get better. Offer at the guide price made on her bungalow today - please sir, more sir humbly being tried - so mixed bag of news. One feels for such as these . I have an aunt whose care is fast eating the value of a large house in an aspirational area of Cambridge. Aunt is physically strong but placed in a secure wing. We really do live in interesting times. Take good care of yourselves.
Thanks and hopefully JKP will have one of her more subtle words..A confused 93 year old with all the attitudes of that generation and night time staff she refers to as oriental - what could possibly go wrong?. I remember reading an article by a journo, to the right of Ghengis Khan, in the Sunday Times aboutSorry to read about MIL. They do here. The local council has been known to go back 25 years to a sale to get money back for care in a care home. Apparently, in Scotland anyway, local councils can make up their own rules when it comes to reclaiming fees from relatives. That's according to the solicitor I consulted about passing on property now to avoid my sons losing their homes to pay for any care I might receive. If you sell up don't they accuse you of intentionally making yourself poor/destitute anyhow?

Either this is an unlucky family or something is badly wrong. Whichever it is we really do live in interesting times - not in a good way. Take good care of yourselves and your loved ones as it sure feels like the Hunger Games out there just now.
Thank you. JKP just back from visit. She spoke to Dr - he had left a message to bleep him so he could talk to her. He said if MIL didn't have covid they would release her. MIL like a different woman. Walked unaided to the loo and as fully with it as pre-admission. No oxygen being given and once covid free she can come home. Interestingly, the isolation ward is brighter and has a glass security door. No 1 son could also visit but only 1 person at a time. We'll see what happens tonight.Thank you Ian
Hugs for you, JKP, and MIL
