Thanks Ian.Two mysteries in one post. A lighthouse shrouded in mystery - thanks for sharing that and that andthe magnificent word heckishly. Then there is the Great Antipodean Mother's Day Gift Mystery. Blueberry bushes you say? How very ericaceous. MIL has 3 BB bushes she feels we need here. Take care and enjoy your day.
They don't get the Ocado ones which are absolutely mahoosiveThanks Ian.
Problem with Blueberry bushes is the birds get the ripe blueberries before I do!
A hug for Neil.Got to bed at 11.30 last night - BG 5.1. Woke up at 12.10 am with Libre shrieking its warning. BG 3.1. Had the head of a jelly baby to push BG up again. Quick trip to the loo. Went back to sleep. Woke again at 2.30 am and got up. BG 7.9. And a bad taste in my mouth - that's the sugar in the jelly baby. BG now is 6.5 and I am experimenting to see how low I can go with the insulin so have had a tin of sardines in olive oil without insulin to see what happens - shouldn't be any carbs in the sardines so maybe can get away without insulin for that. Life is just one, long experiment. Makes it interesting.
Neil won't be going shopping today - still feeling under the weather. Just as well I have enough in, if I'm careful, to last out until Monday.em's had all the crumpets so she'll have to make do with pancakes when she comes in from school.
Naughty Kiki23.03
7.30am FBG 6.4
Kiki had been having fun in my absense. Apparently she held a courting party one night. Neighbours female cat and a visiting Tom. She didnt even come in for dinner or breakfast. I thought her recent operation would reduce attention fromTomcats. There was one came to visit a few days before she was spayed, not seen him since, but now she has somehow attracted very persistant Tom and stopped out all night with him again yesterday.
It's been very wet here, the ground squelches underfoot. MrSlim has done
very well to get my greenhouse up. Sadly it's more flimsy than either of us expected despite the advertised "strong steel frame" and "extra struts to improve stability" Maybe those should have been a red flag?
MrSlim appears to have lived on sweet stuff while I was away... allowing himself to indulge. Ok! shopping trip desperately needed.
Thank you @ianpspurs and thank goodness that one sensible decision has been made by the Blockhead Balmpot ClownsGreetings from a presently sunny but windy Little America where the attached forecast doesn't really appeal much to me. Swipey offered up a working 5.1. The grouping of fbgs is probably positive but my preference is for 4s - perhaps foolish pride? Never mind the weather here, today is SSSF - yeehaw/thanks be to God @SlimLizzy I second @alf_Josiah with the bracing and your problem is no less important than those of anyone else. The greenhouse is and was meant to be far more than a greenhouse @dunelm good news on the progress of garage conversion and thanks for allowing us all to share with you the journey from lines to what will inevitably become a thing of glory and beauty. Proper metaphor for the Lenten pilgrimage. @lindisfel I hope you speak to and get help from a GP. @alf_Josiah here's hoping for -ve for you. @Annb good that the diabetic nurse passed on data and the A1c dropped even a point. It is the proverbial postcode lottery as to whether DNs support LC or not. I can see their reluctance (neither the it's only Bg Pharma nor meh, blinded by Eatwell dogma convince me) like all lifestyles there must be issues/side effects which supporters often don't want to hear. Doesn't Unwin tuck away the data that just less than 50% achieve remission? Obviously better odds than doing nowt and seeing than complications. My instinct is really low carb would bring on hypos besides tasting like the inside of an animals cage. On that lovely thought, do enjoy your day Diabetes Massive.
Update: 2nd attached just to cheer you up @dunelm
All the best for the impending delivery. Wonderfully atmospheric lighthouse.Fbg 6.6
On nighttime wildlife camera...
The night starts with the fox, Foxy, Loxy, who is on the swing, getting the cat biscuits before the stray cats appear.
Then the cats appear, and ginger cat (who looks white on here) Merlin takes up his position as guardian of the swing.
Jade comes along for some cat biscuits. Then bully cat Marmalade appears, but it's almost like Merlin said no, you are not having any so Marmalade walks away.
KissyKissy, this badger so-called because he's always doing nose to nose contact with the cats, and he begins pootling around. He is around the rest of the night, much to the annoyance of Merlin, who tells him off...
KissyKissy's mate arrives. She appears not to have the same fascination with the swing as KissyKissy has. Kissy Kissy goes in for nose to nose contact with Merlin who reacts with a vicious snarl.
And so the night continues...
KissyKissy takes his mate home and then comes back by himself. And carries on annoying cat Merlin.
Merlin does a very good job, keeping guard of those cat biscuits just for the cats. And finally pre-dawn arrives with the birds singing and Merlin now leaves his post. It is around 5:30 am now.
Cat, Midnight, who has been sleeping inside on me in my bed all night, now leaves me and he goes outside and gets on the swing. He sniffs around to find out who's been visiting during the night....
Creative #6 Lighthouse in Procreate.
Enjoyed playing with this one.
Heckishly windy out there.
Got the window open to listen for a parcel, which is a late Mother's Day present from daughter in Australia. She wouldn't tell me what it was. But the tracking tells me it comes from a plant place. So my guess at the moment is that it is a blueberry bush. We shall see if I'm right when it arrives…
A cuppa is needed to warm me up here...
Have your best day!

Thank you @gennepher - can’t wait to get in there but then I do have to. Patience I suppose.
Full on Nadine.there. Best quickly check there's no woke snowflakes under that new flooring. Do you greet new people by asking "are you now or have you ever been a #standwithgary member?"Thank you @ianpspurs and thank goodness that one sensible decision has been made by the Blockhead Balmpot Clowns
Obviously Cellulitis isn't good news but getting the antibiotics is. Hope they work quickly so peace can be restored to your life. Shalom.Hi all, rang surgery at 0800 and I was 7th on list but it got down to 1st and the phone didn't answer for ten minutes.
Anyway it's Cellulitis and have got some antibiotics.
Thanks for all your good wishes.

Thanks Ian.
Problem with Blueberry bushes is the birds get the ripe blueberries before I do!
But it may be some other plant!
Thank you...you have a good day.

Hi @alf_ the extra struts for stability are diagonal. Today the whole thing was rattling and groaning under stress from the wind. Also one pot of seeds seems to have been blown entirely away while the panels were out overnight. I planted aubergine seeds. But the pot with them in is nowhere to be found. Actually thought i hadn't potted them, but no seed packet, used as label and MrSlim remembers seeing them. Very odd as I would have thought an upturned pot would at least leave a trail of compost.Very sorry to read about the greenhouse, can I suggest you and Mr Slim add some diagonals to the frame work to add some structural integrity. It might not look as nice as before, but if helps the panels stay in situ.
He probably told his postie mates a Black Panther came out your cat flap.Hi @ianpspurs @dunelm
The doorbell just rang. Midnight has never heard the doorbell before. And I had it right next to me on full blast with an extended tune. Midnight sat bolt upright from being asleep, gave me an evil stare, shot out of the room, shot out of the kitchen and shot out through the catflap, and crashed into the postman's legs, where he was waiting with my plant.
I opened the door to the postman visibly having palpitations, still trying to get his balance back. And patting his chest. Poor lad. He was a newbie. The regular postman was sitting in the post office van, he trains newbies, takes them out on their first rounds. This'll be an easy one for you lad, he would have said...
What was that, the newbie could barely get the words out...
Poor lad, he was laughing too...
I'm still laughing....
Midnight is nowhere to be seen...
And guess what plant it was my daughter from Australia brought me for Mother's Day...a blueberry bush in flower....
Very likely! He probably told his postie mates a Black Panther came out your cat flap.
