Hi Ann,
This guy is Alan Fearon he and his wife really work hard to help others in the church and don't just speak it. I think you know his son.

It is amazing how colour can change a drawing to 3 dimensional art.

Thanks Ian...

Some poetry for this week if people are interested. Absolutely no intention of converting anyone just sharing one man's selection of wonderful words
and images. The visual doesn't work as well for me as the written or sung. On another note, this may be useful at times for some.

Thanks for that video, lindisfel. Very interesting and uplifting. Yes I have met his son but can't say that I know him very well. Very pleasant and helpful young man.
Not met this son, but his mum and dad are very helpful. His mum took Marjorie and I to Newcastle nine years ago to get my first pacemaker. Alan took me for laser treatment in December. They also get presents to give to poor kids at Christmas.

Glorious day with wall to wall blue skies. A pity I am taking Doxycycline which means I have to be careful in sunlight and keep hiding in my cave.
D.
Perhaps watching and listening to this with a beverage of your choice will allow you to imagine you are out and about.

wonderful news on the 5s and going to Starbucks - are they. perhaps, connected?
Maybe they are @ianpspurs. Starbucks are on my blacklist and I never normally go there because of their UK tax avoidance. Yesterday I ditched my principles and went there. We had such a warm welcome and so did the dogs that principles will be ditched for good and we will visit again.

I think Ann reducing her insulin as well as carbs caused the weight loss.
Insulin is described in T2 as the fat hormone.
That's one of the reasons a calorie is not a calorie and we humans are not calorimeters.
D.
Yes, I do completely agree with you. I was dreadfully skinny when diagnosed with T2D and put on weight immediately I went on insulin. The weight started dropping as soon as I was able to cut down (then cut out) insulin.

Do you avoid Amazon as well? I'm not keen on ITV but they now show rugby so principles are put on hold. Glad Starbucks is back on your visit list and the dogs like it. We also buy Starbucks coffee beans but not for the dogs

Thank you Ian
Excellent Celtic music in appropriate scenery, .
I shall bookmark that for when I think of the areas I love.
Derek
Glad you liked it. Final one here* - whole evening's worth. Better than watching Call the Midwife, Michael McIntyre and a few others which could lead a man into temptation (if he had a quick tongue ) You may like this or may know it well.
*Unless you fancy Tibetan healing flute - 3 hrs of it on Youtube. 3.4m views - +1 now

Morning all. Breezy, chilly but dry here. 4.7 from Swipey which is fine. Could today be the day the Berkshire 1 is released? @dunelm and @gennepher thanks in advance for sharing your art. Sausages have been removed from a crowded freezer so I need to look carefully at salt in my actual food. I'm a social sausage eater and usually end up with eater's regret. Kimchi will be off the menu today. No alerts from bloods or other readings but I have enough issues to manage for now. On my list of things to experiment with is instant mash which is surprisingly lowish in carbs - within the range my body appears able to cope. I have tried the frozen stuff which tasted pleasant after so many years but I wasn't wearing Swipey. A properly aspirational hot cross bun is another experiment since I eschewed Pannetone at Christmas - I know/knew the graph of those two. Have the best day circumstances allow. As the man says, modern life is goodish.

Sadly I have also put my principles on hold with Amazon and continue to shop with them even though they dodge their UK taxes and don't treat their staff very well.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and those that rode bicycles with no hands in their youth.

This mornings reading was 5.1 on that meter of, words fail me.

Sorry to report a +ve lft test here in Covid Central, never mind it keeps me out of night clubs and protects my hearing from the super loud techno grunge that passes for music these days. Old and grumpy. Who me?

Now koffy is calling along with some sort of break fast.
Have the best day possible if allowed.

6.7 this morning - which I am happy with. I will probably still be more in the 6s than the 5s for a while before I properly move into the 5s. Yesterday did 15K steps and 13g carbs.

I actually initially typed 15K carbs - that wouldn't have gone well.

Good morning everyone from the start of another pleasant day here in the dark and dangerous north. SNP tossed a three sided coin into the air and it landed on the rim. Have to just wait and see on that one. Meanwhile the floor is now laid in my new art room and things are beginning to take shape. The other side of the dividing wall has now been sanded and painted and Mrs Miggins is drilling holes in walls ready for some shelving. Not a good night last night and teeny tiny tommy tramadol was consulted this morning. Art bit - a new start. Have the best day that you can. I must now make lofty.

Thanks for the art but hug for needing Tramadol. Hopefully it will work and today will be at least comfortable. Take care. I assume Pastafarians eschew thoughts and prayers. So just leave them on the side of life's plate with an elegant, I'd really rather you didn't.
