Gave a winner for the outcome but could equally have been a hug for the hassle of the process.I got to the chemist for 9 am, but I wasn't first.
We are still waiting for some stuff assistant said. It is coming in an hour so would you like to come back tomorrow?
(No, I bloody don't want to come back tomorrow, I am at the end of my tether on this saga which has gone on and on and on.)
But I said to her softly, would it be alright if I waited here until the guy in the van comes.
So, I did.
The assistant was on a shorter fuse, than I was. And the person behind me got the length of the wrath of her tongue.
But, my fibromyalgia kicked in, with the frustration of all the time this has taken up from me, having to wait yet again.
I am saying every positive affirmation I can think of under the sun.
The medicine delivery guy arrived.
The assistant did well, she looked for my medicines immediately. The pharmacist came out, offered to carry my 2 bags of medicines and a couple of boxes back to my car. He put them on the front seat for me.
I got home as quick as I could.
Went to bed, and am still in bed. I have the bedroom door open outwards into the garden, and it's very windy, blowing my cobwebs away....
Tomorrow I am having a me day....
Thank you for both sentiments Ian.Gave a winner for the outcome but could equally have been a hug for the hassle of the process.
Winner for the perseverance and the wait. Glad you eventually got your meds. Take care.I got to the chemist for 9 am, but I wasn't first.

There will be leftovers! One has definitely called off, others haven't replied so may or may not come. Two of those who are coming are Afghani and therefore Muslim. Not sure what they'll eat - not offering any meat dish because they would only eat Halal meat. Not sure how they feel about eggs. There is the vegetarian option of avocado salad rolls or, if that isn't to their liking, there is a cheese board with crackers and some salad veg. Should be OK. Resting my legs right now. An hour in hand before they are due to arrive. That's a vey interesting treatment of a lighthouse. Looks pretty disastrous.
BG last night at 12.00 was 13.0! Not what I would have wanted but there it is. 10.9 this morning at 3.10. No breakfast yet - too busy clearing up after the marathon effort yesterday made me run out of steam, so I just left the mess to clear up today. I'm not a tidy cook. Tom always used to clear up after me because he couldn't stand the mess, but that's just the way I work. At least I got all my baking and finishing done as well as some dainty little sandwiches. Just because I'm organised, I imagine that very few will turn up after all. Never mind - leftovers will go down to Em's family.
Good that Alistair turned up so all that food wasn't wasted. There will be leftovers! One has definitely called off, others haven't replied so may or may not come. Edit: the above was written at 3 pm and I thought I had pressed the send button, but it's still sitting here at 10 past 8. Ended up wioth only 4 guests. The 2 Afghans had already had an Eid lunch before they came so weren't hungry but they brought some baking with them. A surfeit of goodies. Alistair popped in to borrow a tool so I sent him away with an armful of aluminium boxes of food.
This software wants to call it aluminum but I'm not having that!
The injury is important to heal. So that sounds very sensible @Krystyna230406.9 this morning. Cut down steps to 9K yesterday - which is much better for my recovering strained hamstring. 14/15K steps is better for blood sugars but not good for repairing an injury. So I am being sensible and won't stress out if blood sugars go up a bit.
My software wants to take letters out of my correctly spelt words as well...There will be leftovers! One has definitely called off, others haven't replied so may or may not come. I sometimes find it incredibly difficult to do the sensible thing - even though I know it is the right thing to do.

Fox & Cats & Badger
A busy, interesting night, especially the threesome - cat Jade, cat Midnight, and the fox.
The fox is cross with Jade and they have a verbal altercation...fox loses and Jade stands firm.

Just having a bit of fun with this painting....
I need/am ready to start some painting on paper/sketchbook/whatever, but I need to get all that stuff together. It will be a good few days because I have another thing to finish... I will aim for May 1st...
Half decent weather here, so I need to play catch up.
Midnight is asleep on my legs...but I have no tea left in my flask.
I need a cuppa.
Have your best day.

Poor old lightkeeper stuck forever in a storm ridden lighthouse. Is there an exorcist in the house?Fbg 6.9

These are amazingly 3D when you put the colouring in @dunelmGood morning everyone on a rain bouncing start here in the dark and dangerous north. Pity really as it’s Jack Nicholson’s birthday and I wanted to celebrate it. I know there are other folk that have a birthday today; Oppenheimer of course and that dreadful Isabella I of Castile who instigated the Spanish Inquisition - nobody wants the Spanish Inquisition! Anyhow, you can warble Witchita Lineman if you want as it’s his day also. Managed just over 4 miles yesterday and “in the zone” for 51 minutes - must have been loitering a lot then. Art bit, some colour added from yesterday. I might work on the doodles that I did when in France, not sure yet. Have the best day that you can. I am slurping koffy and listening to the rain.

Thanks IanMorning all from a layering up kind of start in L.A. Yesterday's salmon partnered with salad and Milky's hallum fries was fleek as some of the yoof and yoof+ say. @dunelm so many birthdays and anniversaries from which to choose - cream cakes all round? Thanks for sharing that verdant art, well done on yesterday and enjoy today. @gennepher thanks for sharing the lighthouse and enjoy catch up. @Krystyna23040 very sensible step reduction, Mr K must be singing the Hallelujah chorus. The Little Guy™ - plus sister - may be here later so since it is the open season for Bourbon Biscky hunting i'm shortly going to stalk some over the Brecks and beyond if needs be. Since Campbell J has been mentioned have a chune so y'all can dance along. No lyrics Genn and dancing is optional so relax along with @Annb. Chill your beans is trending here.
