What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Oh now I do like that Terry Pratchett book @alf_Josiah and have a great belief in turtles. I am also a bona fide member of the Church of The Flying Spaghetti Monster and a fervent apponent to intelligent design. Teaching world religions is one thing but the USA is full of nut jobs and must be opposed, especially when it comes to teaching dangerous nonsense in schools.

Ron DeSantis has that in hand. That Shakespeare fella for starters. The Bible is banned from Elementary and Middle schools in Utah, that well known woke hotbed, for vulgarity and violence. Anyone thinking we, UK, are beyond that must have been living as a hermit in a cave for at least 13 years.

This was taken in Whitby yesterday during the regatta. Not by me. Thought you might like it @lindisfel (any anyone else of course).

Thanks Dunelm, not many Lancs flying nowadays, one of the lads at school dad died in a Lanc in the war but we had air fields all round us. It was high death rate in bomber command flying crew.

When I worked at Bilsdale in the early 80s the Whitby transmitter was near the Abbey, it had a very short mast. I can't remember when the transmitter was moved I probably had retired.

I feel back in the land of the living now after this morning.

Wild life cameras
Cats & Foxes & Badger & Cats again sitting either end of the swing...

Creative. Ink painting, but it's not working for me.
I was trying to use a cut up credit card to move the paint, but it didn't do what I wanted it to do.

It has been teeming with rain most of the day.

Robin redbreast is looking good with his new tail feathers.

The rain was that intense, two stray cats took shelter in my kitchen...

Midnight is asleep next to me on the window ledge.

And I am drinking a cuppa tea...

Hope you found good in your day.

Interesting as the Bilsdale transmitter is pretty big now. Just hope that lightning doesn’t strike the same place twice.

Stay vigilant - Fahrenheit 451 is on the move.

Oh dear, I don't know about all your religions Alf?

I just follow a Second Temple Jew who was put to death when the Romans crucified him in 33CE and I believe he lives and died for me and you and everybody on the planet.
Shalom to you and all.
Derek
And peace to you, we are all entitled to our views, enjoy yours.

Well the colours and composition work and those scraped in lines are fab. Smashing.

Been very busy with visitors and grandchildren. Garden has been a bit neglected so yesterday ripped out seversl blight affected tomato plants. Hoping it doesnt spread but not time to inspect and prune as needed. Have 3-4 kg tomatoes and half a dozen cucumbers plus several aubergines and courgettes in the fridge. Hoping to manage something with at least some of them. However the girls are expecting a day on the beach tomorrow and Wednesday has at least three activities planned already NOT including packing the car to leave by 6am Thursday morning to catch the ferry. Feeling overwhelmed.

It is not surprising that you felt ill when you got back as it was a really stressful morning and so frustrating as it took up so much time @gennepher

Good luck with that blight. Visitors and grandchildren are wonderful for a short time but such a relief when you hand them back
