What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Morning all. It was a wet start to the new month here but there seems to be the promise of a couple of weeks of mild weather ahead. Abbott are sending a new Swipey and I don't have any Stabby Stabbers so fbg remains a mystery. Drip trip yesterday seems to have left me even hungrier than normal but LC has never fixed that in 8 years. @gennepher thanks for sharing the gorgeous honeysuckle/woodbine. There was a lovely one of those near the patio doors at our last home. @lindisfel hug for your concern over patient safety. Pay and conditions must play a part in the scenario where the UK is short of 47,000 nurses. Goodness knows what the real shortage of doctors is but this implies things won't improve under the current govt. Schools may or may not reopen next week - if they're still standing. Enjoy your day Omnishambles or not.
 
Some of us knew beforehand that Brexit was an immense act of self-harm, it's a pity the Country were so divided and believed the lies, but how can all these costs to be paid for without some degree of self sacrifice on the part of all British people.
The party in power are going to make net zero very expensive and inflation will increase its costs. Those low lying Pacific Islanders can say good bye to their homes.
 
Charming idea that we are or ever were all in this together. I have a bridge to sell for anyone interested. Anyhow, where will all the money and builders to fix the crumbling schools and hospitals come from?

Hi all,
I have just been a mile away from here on a quiet straight road where we can park up and walk.
I keep getting disappointed that I can't walk far...c.0.5 mile in all today. I see the Cardiologist next Friday so I hope to find out more then. I get out of breath very easily as well as back pain coming on quickly when I walk.

Good that you have been able to get out. Hopefully the cardiologist will be helpful. Meanwhile frustrating as it is accept your circumstances and don't try to push too hard.

5.8 this morning, I've got my fingers crossed for many reasons for tomorrow!
Plenty of gulls around here! And a fivesome of geese this morning amongst a plethora of other species.
Glorious day today, had a morning of shopping and chores for the chance to lounge in This one day of warmth. Only to be hoping the noise abatement society would get involved because of an alarm that went on till about half last five. The tractors roaring and beeping backwards moving tons of earth from the ex football pitches nearby.

The country is not well and broken for one reason only, the greed of a few over the rest of us!
If it was only pay, then the strikes wouldn't be as effective! The majority of th owe that have to use the NHS, know where the blame lies with all it's ills! And it's not those at the front line!
Watching the T20 with a bit of a slogfest from our lads!
 
In the evening twilight I went for a stretch and eat in the shade for a while and a cheeky little mossy but my right foot about a million times (ish)! I've told you a million times, I don't exaggerate!
Had a ham shank for my omad. I think I have drunk the river dry, I'm so thirsty! No exaggeration!
England win again!

Just caught up with the posts. Have done heaps of admin today and also have been going through some online training videos provided by my professional body.

Found some really good stuff that will help my clients and have written exercise sheets for the new exercises.

Clients think that I do these exercise sheets just for them but actually I also write them for me. I teach a huge range of exercises and the sheets really help me to remember how to teach them properly.

Looks like it will be a sunny day today.
It was pleasant yesterday, the sun was quite hot.
I sat on the swing with Midnight most of the day.
Very relaxing.
I need more of those days.

Wildlife trail camera.
It was mostly just foxes in the night loitering around. Other beasties fleetingly ran through.

Creative - as before - from some soft pastel paintings I did a few years ago. I am reworking them. I also had some Aquarelle Neocolour pastels Caran D'Ache (pastels to add water to), and played with these. So, a sort of pastel mixed media painting.
