What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

BG at 3.15 this morning - 17.2! Ouch! Last night it was 16.0 and I took a correction dose of insulin but was a bit wary and probably didn't take enough. That was because my Libre needed recharging and I had to plug it into its socket overnight. I really have to dig out a USB adaptor for use in the bedroom. If I'd taken even more insulin, BG could have dropped too low while I slept and I wouldn't have been aware. Taken another correction dose this morning and it dropped to 10.5 but is on its way up again now at 11.4. Must, for a while, stop experimenting with baking and just stick to the recipes that I know. That, I'm sure, has been the cause of all this.

The wagon is moving too fast for me to jump back on, it seems.

Love the colours and the texture of the garage artwork. Cute birds too.

Winning artwork. Liking the poster too.

All the best with those high readings. I don’t take insulin but it seems to be a bit of a black art balancing the stuff. My daughter in law’s mum has just been told that she has adult onset T1 and is finding it all quite difficult.

Morning all. Fg of 5.4 from NoSwipeyNoCry so something isn't optimised although I've read that an end of life sensor becomes unreliable. Something will need to change for the promised 22 degrees to materialise - ah no, it was only an aspiration. @dunelm I sense your frustration but good news that nothing worse is happening. Thanks for sharing the art. Is there a meaning to that particualr shape? @gennepher good news on #aprongate. Thanks for sharing the creative with those autumnal colours. @Annb hug for the high bg, take care. @lindisfel I hope Marjorie is convalescing well and you are being a good boy and listening to your wise daughter. @Krystyna23040 enjoy Gooderstone and do see that Mr K is suitably rewarded for all that advice he obviously gave Borthers. Sunday lunch with #3 son, the Little Guy and Big Sister - I'm four now you know. Half a black feathered turkey, pigs in blankets etc since it is basically cold and dark now for about 2000 months. So many layers The demise of Angeball may put a slight dampener on the joy as it is the NLD, or, as some would have it, NMD. I may need to watch the RWC in another room as 2 here will want Wales to win and I usually favour ABW - too much gloating in the past. Enjoy your day as much as possible but if you can't this ain't instagram/Tiktok etc so don't lie.

Thank you @ianpspurs. There is no meaning for the particular shape. A single Zen brush stroke is just whatever comes out of the brush. It’s not really about thinking but about centered connectedness, flow, presence and acceptance. I sometimes like to place a little doodle afterwards, just for my own amusement.

Thanks Ian

Good just past Morening ( 12:15 pm ) Ladies and gentlemen and those who slept late.
Blood sugars this morning were 5.3 drop the decimal point and 53 is a prime number.

Later today the never ending woodworking project is due to be collected and reassembled in its home, it started life as a football boot and wellie boot store and has now morphed in a log store. Most of the wood is reclaimed, but some gravel boards and a few lengths of feather edged board had to be purchased. Hopefully a few pictures will be attached.

On a different note do you think lamp posts deserve a better deal, people walk into them, cars drive into them, they get covered in graffiti and they are made to work nights. Support rights for lamp posts.

Stay safe all.

This morning fbg was 6.0 not so bad.

Previously there had been some mention of poetry so thought I would share this it was written by one George DE Bosco Attwood someone I came across in the family tree a song called 'The Call of the Unions' that was sung in the run up to the Great Reform Act of 1832.

"
God is our Guide! From field, from wave,
From plough, from anvil, and from loom,
We come, our country's rights to save,
And speak the tyrant's faction doom;
We raise the watchword ‘Liberty’
We will, we will, we will be free!

God is our Guide! No swords we draw,
We kindle not war's battle fires,
By reason, union, justice, law,
We claim the birthright of our sires;
We raise the watchword ‘Liberty’
We will, we will, we will be free! "

They form the basis of the song of freedom of the Tolpuddle Martyres.

6.7 this morning, must be because it's a Sunday!
Gonna have a hopefully quiet day, lots done already, no time to dawdle, got more to do!
Warmer but threats of more wet stuff and my front garden needs a mow, too wet this morning.
Drizzle is happening!

Yes, I also used to be a really accurate and fast typist but not anymore. Perhaps it isn't us but the modern keyboards.

Hope your BG stabilises very soon @Annb

Brilliant @alf_Josiah
Very smart.
Very sturdy.
Looks good too.

Mr K was suitably rewarded with a Sausage Roll at Gooderstone @ianpspurs.

Nice result for the end of the never ending woodworking project and hope it enjoys it’s new home. Some lamp posts do get a bit of respite but they have to go out and get smashed first.
