What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

A much improved 5.5 this morning so happy with that.
A few days ago I splashed out on a pair of diabetic shoes find them quite comfortable and easier on my feet but then being unable to walk very far have not given them much of a test yet.
Let's hope with the new shoes you will soon be dancing. Well maybe able to walk a bit further is more realistic.
MrSlim frequently calls me pessimistic, but I think I am mostly a realist. He can be wildly over optimistic on occasions and sometimes it's hard to rein him in to consider practicalities.

Thanks @Annb

Diabetic shoes sound good. I hope they work well for you @JohnEGreen

Thank you @Annb and good stuff with the walking.

6.9 pre counselling!
Not feeling too good this evening!
Headache from migraine still there and counselling has on top of that has floored me.
You all get a hug for all the posts I 've missed!
Good news is the bag window roof completed this morning!
Can't read nowt, sorry, he back tomorrow!

Best wishes to you all as always.

Big hug for the migraine and for the counselling, not the best combination at the best of times x

Beautiful art work there, poignant.

if all our gardens were like yours @gennepher the planet and our wildlife would be in a much better position than it is now.
I love my garden its big enough to have little areas that are all different. I love my secret garden area that is fenced off with a pond and I love watching the damson flies lay their eggs. Its wonderful seeing the new ones emerge after years of living underneath in safety. I have had many land on my hand in the sunshine. We have ivy on the fence surrounding our secret garden and you would think we were somewhere else if it weren't for the road. I have my swing and I am out there in all weathers as its also sheltered from the elements. I don't think the neighbours like it but the garden next door is so overgrown, I don't think they have reason to moan as they are helping the wildlife too! I have had a resident robin, a fox and delinquent blackbirds nesting and eating my tomatoes but I don't care, its my bit of heaven.

Good morning everyone from a bit of a damp start here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.7 this am. Train to catch this morning. Then another one and then the tube over to our digs where hopefully we will be greeted with jellied eels, pie mash and liquor and savaloys by a pearly King and Queen talking in Polari, ” Bona to vada your dolly old eke”. It’s dead weird daaan saaaaf. Art bit, penultimate one for this week. Hope you all have a fabulous day - make it so, this is the way. Must be koffy o’clock.

Been up there a few times to the co-sited BBC link station. Skiers had to walk up then over thirty years ago.
It was the place I got accused of being the greatest source of hydrocarbons in the Northern Hemisphere by guys in the UMiST hut.
A good place in winter for seeing snow buntings in Cumbria.
