Hugs @JohnEGreen I hate selfish people who block you in, but in this case I tell myself their need night be greater than mine, it might be urgent treatment they cannot miss - they might not have anyone to drop them off, but have to create a car parking space. I am creative in hospital car parks to 'make' a space, but I will never block anyone in or obstruct anyone. I have never done that yet...Fbg at 5:30 AM was 6.2
Yesterday went to Kingsmill hospital for monthly blood test a bit over due but without assistance though am able to drive there can’t get from car park to blood clinic and nobody available to go with me for the last few days. The hospital car park was manic managed to find a parking space after driving round the car park for nearly half an hour when we came back to the car some one had parked behind me so was trapped until they returned to their car.
Keiran bought me a heated throw for Christmas in this cold weather it’s been a Godsend especially as my right foot and lower leg is like a block of ice most of the time.
Had an appointment letter yesterday for scan of the leg for the 19th not looking forward to that as it’s at the QMC and a 17 mile trip there and then 17 miles back and I hate going there.
Any way got to be up early this morning to take Judith to work as it’s her day for working in the office rather than from home.
That was a busy day @lindisfelCannot sleep, went to bed at 1900 yesterday because I was exhausted. Slept enough and will put the heating on early at 0530. It's been freezing here, but dry, since last friday and I accidentaly let the multifuel stove out a week ago.
But I have been doing more which keeps one warm.
The car is now A1 and i was up at seven had a quick low carb breakfast of two eggs and two spoons of natural yoghurt and a square of dark choc. That will keep me running till lunch.
Since the Cardiologist changed my meds and Helen moved my sertraline to just last thing at night I have felt a new man.
So by 0930 we were at the post box near our local garage and then off to Carlisle. No traffic and had a clear run through and was turning into go to Methodist hall in Carlisle at c,0945 ..she was 15mins early for Tai Chi and apparently had a good chat with her friends first.
I shall find a way in future to take her.
I had my heated 'waist coat' on so a minimum of weight on top. I drove to south of city and took something Helen bought for me to the charity shop. You put it in a bed so you can sit up like an hospita bed. I did need it at one time, they were quite happy at free gratis
They have to run in balance. I looked to see if they had. anything a stiff big guy could fit
into...no way.
Off to Sainsburys to loo.
No sign of Waxwings about town.
And waiting in church carpark at 1045 away by 1115 and home by1145 and tired already.

I replied to this on the supplements thread:A post for @Lamont D , and anyone with an interest in brain function.
I already take a B12 supplement, but hadn't been aware of the omega 3 element offering such a strong paired coupling.
A fascinating glimpse into possibly better health.
For me adding the fish oil seems something I WILL be adding to my Armoury.
It's a low cost intervention, that may or may not offer any more protection for me, but as I currently add some Brazil nuts to my diet, because of concerns, I'm already 'in'
But what a result if any of those positive end points mentioned, are realised.
15 mins in of note.
17 mins in something worth knowing.
39 minutes in, stunning result if true
(No reason to believe otherwise, but having been there, finding it hard to believe something SO simple ......)
Supplements
Simple question for a Sunday, do you guys take supplements? Any recommendations? Thanks in advance for your responses.www.diabetes.co.uk
I wondered if her husband had had blood tests for B12 deficiency and treatment in the form of tablets and/or injections are available on the NHS. I am also very cautious about perception and placebo effects. But, if they are happy…Just to add, lady posting after me had a stunning result with her husband .....bravo.

Thank you @ianpspurs. I of course agree with you to disagree and it’s about 0.7Morning all from a sunny but very cold LA which would be ideal for walking if my spine didn't randomly squash the stop communicating button on some key nerves. I don't see the financial security vs mobility trade off in getting old as being favourable. I've had my monthly bloods as early as possible so my fbg will come in this evening or tomorrow then it will be Feedback Friday. Next MRI is on 21st so based on that I will decide to Swipe again or not. Diet/WOE/Supplements? I keep an open (ish) mind but I'm aware from 40 years of MIL, previously her mum, who lived to 99.9, and nearly 70 of my own relatives (in their 80s+) versus other more "health conscious"folk that paying zero attention to these things can be no hindrance to longevity, active lives and vise versa. As per the constitution of the USA, the key idea is pursuit of - sometimes one's butterfly net remains disappointingly empty. N=1 and often one can do nothing about these things. @JohnEGreen hug for parking issues and the upcoming trip. @lindisfel well done on doing more but steady as she goes. @dunelm thanks for sharing the art and pointing me (again) to the 9 principles of Stoicism - we'll probably agree to disagree on those. The value of the above? - the square root of 4/5 of 5/8 of diddly squat but thanks for reading.
Good man for taking Marjorie to Wigton and acquiring the meat. Hug for having worked hard all your life and planned so well that your reward is to pay full price for BT. Many years ago I read a Sunday Times piece by an economist politically well to the right of Genghis Khan who basically said if you save and have a good pension you may as well **** it all up the wall as the state will take it all in old age one way or another. My job and being an only child of generations of savers basically forced me to ignore that advice. Also, there has been volumes written comparing the 2020s to the 1920s which the austerity/distraction burglary/alternative facts crew pooh pooh - sorry push back against (one spells it lie) but your account does seem to confirm that if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it is a duck. Of course I blame The Grocer's DaughterWent to Lidl shopping at 10. The skies had cleared and it was freezing here at 1000.
Then we went into Wigton and Marjorie got some meat I put her Fabia in my disabled person squares and had a mental trip.
When I got back I contacted BT customer service to query my bill, no go.
I am a pensioner I said and been with the same phone service 50 years. he ask me my National Insurance I thought to check my age.
I suppose they could have got it anywhere and have never forgot mine.
He said you don't qualify for a reduction you don't get any supplementary payments.
But I didnt know bt prices were means tested.
Now I know I'll file it mentally and use it at a suitable time.
Some people give it to the borg and their not a charityGood man for taking Marjorie to Wigton and acquiring the meat. So he should.I wasn't aware of that either. Didn't know there were different rates for pensioners, others or people on supplementary benefits. I do know that this is the case with other services and, while I can manage on what I have, I have always felt that having a differential between services available to only some of the people on benefits is unjust.
Neil, being on some kind of disability allowance, had one of the PIP allowances. This has been altered to the Scottish version of the same thing. He does get all the extras because he is under retirement age. When he is retirement age he will continue to receive those benefits because they started before retirement. If your disability started after retirement, however, there are no extras allowed. Odd kind of thinking it seems - if you aren't disabled and therefore work until retirement, you can expect disability to come to you when you are older, so don't deserve the extras! Basically, if you are not "one of them", just go away and stop bothering us. Pretty sure that doesn't apply to "those and such as those" who make the rules.
Well that’s you @dunelm and me on @ianpspurs ’s bad boy list, as of course first a value must be assigned to diddly squat. According to Jeremy Clarkson it’s approximately zero.Thank you @ianpspurs. I of course agree with you to disagree and it’s about 0.7
