What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

what a faffe for an oldster who is a digital immigrant and not a digital native. Never mind I shall persevere, viewing as a challenge and character building.
A case of "stop the small boasts "...

Nice...much crisper sound I thought.

Though to be fair, it is hard to really hear at this end of your garden...

I thought the shortage of dentists was a British problem but it seems to be more widespread.

Thank you for that advice Gennepher. I e-mailed Kirsty and she says to stop the classes and talk to GP or physio. I'll see if I can get an appointment for one or other.Good luck with the GP of physio @Annb
About 8 years ago the GP thought I ought to be making more effort to exercise. I did explain what I was doing with the stepper, but how it was affecting me with the severe cramps in toes, hips, and upper legs. But she took no notice of what I said. I also explaIned I was doing isometrics at that time. She was horrified I was doing isometrics and said it would give me a heart attack. And to stop.

She was under the impression you held your breath when you did the isometrics. I explained you did not, but breathed throughout the exercise as you normally do, but she would not listen to me.

She then insisted I join the gym which was on a free offer at that time. I explained my deafness problems with not being able to understand what was being said at the gym, and explained I would be exhausted by the time I parked the car, walked from car park to gym (or got my scooter out of the car to use). But all I got from the doctor was "Nonsense", and insinuated that I wasn't trying.

I went...the once...had to use my mobility scooter, it was too far to walk. But when I got into the gym there was a set of stairs between two half levels. I cannot do stairs, and neither can my scooter...and so I was bamboozled (for want of a better word, my brain is not working this afternoon) before I even started.

I left.

When I told the doctor, she tut tutted me as though I was a lazy thing who didn't attempt to try. I had to leave or else I would have....

There was no understanding there.

I hope you get better understanding from your GP or physio @Annb

Afternoon team D.

FBG a pleasantly pleasing 7.1

Puts all Monsieur M'tres running totals at 7.6, so coming down nicely over time.

A day off with Frankie in da house, so off out for a walk in a bit.

I notice not only @lindisfel falling radio silent, but we seem to be missing @Lamont D as well.

Hope your both just busy, guys.

Looking forward to seeing any posts with news.

Stay safe all.
JJ.

So long as she knows it's just imaginative play , no need to worry.

Hug for the damp cold - long way from Shakespeare's Fen sucked fogs here to you but I get the type of damp cold perfectly. The photo and hunter gatherer deserve winners even though the tiredness and cold won't make you feel like a winner. The nurses yesterday were complaining of shortages in fairly basic equipment and drugs - they have had to buy paracetamol out of their own pocket before (expenses process doesn't work/pharmacy won't accept the forms) - so I'm not surprised people can't have their prescriptions fully met. Take it easy.

Thank you @ianpspurs - it’s all go this weekend - both the long one and now the short one.

Thank you Ian.
Here is a kaleidoscope of the white garlic flower, just for you...

Always endeavour to persevere - or - just ask the grandchildren

Very sad that some meds seem to be in short supply. The GP changed one of Mrs Miggins’ tablets yesterday and she got half the prescription and a promissory note for the remaining. Lovely garlic. We are awaiting the flowers in the woods so that we can go and pick some plants for salads - bulbs, leaves, flowers and all.

That is absolutely appalling @genn. i do hope that you were able to change your doctor.

I think this doctor need some re-training, perhaps with a specially selected garden cane.

Visualisation is very interesting @ianpspurs. Athletes also use it to improve their performance.
I use visualisation when on my spin bike, headphones on and imagine I am somewhere totally different to the cramped garage with a car, treadmill, mini bounder and recumberant bike (as well as spin bike) in. I have had many "funny" and "distressed" looks from Hermes/Postman as I have to have negotiate the garage door which results with it being open! I am too engrossed and I really do have to visualise being somewhere else otherwise the embarrassment is too much - for all that see!
