What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

@gennepher

Spotted this.

If it applies seems it's a self inflicted by Google charging fault

Thanks @jjraak

I have that same thing with Apple. My iPad will not charge unless it is the official iPad lead and plug. No generic lead nor plug will charge my iPad. The iPad says device not recognised.

With this Pixel phone I have only ever used the charger and lead that came with it. It has a C connector.

I cleaned the connection but no fluff came out.

Now I am trying, with the Pixel phone, a so called compatible (with correct specs) generic charger with lead which I got from Amazon a couple of years ago as a back up. But never used yet. Something is happening, phone is trying to charge, but phone keeps starting to start but then goes black screen again.

If I get this phone restarted I am never letting it run down again....

Thanks for looking for me.

Thank you @ianpspurs enjoy being with those youngsters - what fun!

An eclectic mix....nice

Although a solemn affair, good to meet up with the more distant family.

The circle of life, indeed.

Congrats to niece .

And a riot of colours in that painting.

Likey likey...
Thank you @jjraak - Interesting that I only used three pigments which when sprinkled onto wet paper split into so many colours.

I have whats App connected to my IPad using This - I think you need to have your phone working mind for it to blue tooth over. Another smashing sketch.

You can pay good money for such treatment in certain establishments @alf_Josiah and here is you, getting it all for free.

I've reviewed my initial reply and now wonder if this is more appropriate - btw, who is that guy anyhow? If you were serious gentle hugs.

Have you fell for Mrs J Again?
Hope there is no damage done................ to the floor?

But a chance to catch up with a few of the grandkids again.F

Mrs L is having a quiet day after yesterday's announcement that we are going to get sister's for New Year.
That is after declaring at the weekend that it was her birthday and that is why the clan were around to bring pressies.
And asking how I did at the quacks?

Rip up a calendar and goes the paper in the air and pick one.

Best be goneB

My best wishes to you all as always.

Hope Am is OK @Annb

Finally got Pixel phone recharged.
Took the charger out.
Within 20 mins or so the phone battery power went down to 75%.
Back in went the charger lead.
I need a new battery, or a new phone...
A friend suggested a small back street computer repair shop where I could get one put in for under £50...they do have good reviews...but... I don't know...
In the meantime it will have live permanently connected to electricity.
And I will do @dunelm's suggestion tonight of getting the WhatsApp linked on my iPad...Thanks.

I'll have to see if it will connect to a battery pack to go in my bag tomorrow. There were several important text messages from my bank, and from pharmacy saying my prescription is ready for collection...etc.

I thought I had charged it up yesterday evening, and I had, but the battery had emptied as fast as an egg timer during the night...

Just a thought @gennepher - check push notifications perhaps - something like; Settings > Notifications (or Apps & notifications) > App notifications - see if they are eating your battery power and if so perhaps limit some.

Hope Am is OK @Annb
She seems to be improving already and the rash is fading so it probably isn't measles. Maybe a reaction to something or other, but then the question is ... reaction to what? The problem of allergies and intolerances comes from both sides of the family. Alistair doesn't appear to have any problems but I do and Neil most definitely does and her Mum goes into anaphylactic shock if exposed to a fair number of things.

Thanks @dunelm
Good idea.
I'll have a look in a minute.

One thing that does eat battery power is the cochlear implant remote. The phone is always warning on that, but I need it running, and that connects to other apps that I need to use.

But given the state of this Pixel phone battery I will have to see what I can shut off with that. And go over to iPad mini for the moment...

EDIT: Shut all notifications off bar WhatsApp & Texts ... They are the only important ones - thanks for the hint @dunelm

Good you got it working again, Genn.

If it's of any use, switching off WiFi & running in flight mode will let it charge faster and once off flight mode all that's running is apps you have approved or have sneakily given themselves access rights/permissions.

Maybe once off line hunt the new apps of recent months to see which if any are using excess permissions ?

My guess is one of your sketch / paint types is using up battery ...but it's only a guess .
