Great gouache @dunelmGood morning everyone on yet another bright and sunny start here in the dark and dangerous north. A sci-fi time jump 5.5 this am and all without reference to both motion and/or gravity. Sensibly, Mrs Miggins is still in GMT. Just a short walk yesterday - into town and back to collect a prescription and then a sit in the garden to harvest a bunch of Vit D. Plan this morning is to have a wander in the woods and pick wild garlic some of which will be washed, dried and frozen. Packing later today as we are traveling down to Birmingham tomorrow to see family. No eggs or rabbits will be harmed during the process of packing. Nor indeed the bottle of scotch. Art bit - more gouache vicar? Don’t mind if I do. Hope your Easter Sunday is a pleasant one. I shall have an Easter Koffy and get on with the day.

Decorating the lounge - go for a real tree with roots and it will last all through Christmas.Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.
Blood sugars this morning were 6.5
Today our youngest son and wife are travelling down from Mordor to Tilehurst Towers, Mrs J will be cooking a roast chicken and all the high carb and high fat trimmings, to follow will be a high sugar chocolate mousse. No mamby pamby messing around with healthy diabetic fodder today, Mrs J has decreed, son and wife are her priority. I might go and hide in my shed / workshop sucking on a carrot wandering down to the kitchen to do the washing up.
A little note on multi tasking.
While I have been trying to write this posting Mrs J has been talking about decorating our lounge, I have no idea what Mrs J was proposing, I just hope I didn’t grunt, nod or do anything that could be interpreted as an agreement. Yes I can’t multitask.
Life moves on and so must me, me’s and myself. Cast a though for those who will stand in a pulpit pontificating away while the audience eat chocolate and drop chocolate wrappings on the floor.
Safe, stay must you. Yoda verse 3 6th chapter.
Thank you very much @ianpspursMorning everyone and Happy Easter - HIRIA. @dunelm and @gennepher thank you both for sharing your very different but equally wonderful examples of creativity and skill. I'm continually fascinated by what you see and appreciate in each other's work that I would never have noticed or known. Thank you both. @Krystyna23040 that sounds like a wonderful day for children of all ages. The misdemeanours seem like trivial pursuits not a recherche du temps perdu. I'm sure the meal today will be wonderful - especially dessert. I never liked Easter eggs except Cadbury's mini caramel ones and can live without desserts so not a problem. I will try 1/12 of this, buttered/with cream. I know even a generous slice of Panettone or a HC bun return my bg to start within the hour. Yes I will probably weigh it though I may have to take kitchen scales to #3 son's for lunch today but such is life. Boat races went well, Spurs won and the family buffet, parlour games and card playing yesterday went well so thanks be to God. Enjoy your day and peace be with you.
I gave you winner @Annb for all the sorting you are doing!!!8.4 at 05:20 (which turned out to be 06.20 - I remembered last night, but in my dozy state first thing, I forgot). Up to 8.7 after a cup of tea. Making breakfast shortly so it'll sort it out a bit.
I'm surrounded by boxes at the moment - some marked "keep", some marked "charity shop", some marked "dump", soe marked "burn", only one so far marked "keep for now" (for further thought). The "dump" box is pretty big. The hallway is very cluttered with things ready to be taken to the dump and others waiting to go to the charity shop - difficult to pick a way through them, and can't close the inner front door. Just as well the front porch is now better insulated so it's not too cold.
More sorting out to do today but Neil will need to get some stuff out to the car ready for a trip to the dump or we'll sink under the ex contents of the loft. Breakfast first though.
Thank you @ianpspurs - that giant hopscotch bun looks the bees. Travel scales, very niche.Morning everyone and Happy Easter - HIRIA. @dunelm and @gennepher thank you both for sharing your very different but equally wonderful examples of creativity and skill. At last - the great vit D ball returnsGood morning from California! Happy Easter Sunday morning. 4.44 mmol/L 80 mg/dL.5/6 hours of sleep, that’s good enough for me. Finally some sunshine which is a good healthy sign for me. Hope your Easter is joyful!
Hope your stomach is feeling better by now @Lamont D. Very tired myself - lots to do today but none of it done. I just keep falling asleep. Slept longer than usual last night as well (about 4 hours, I think, but with the shenanigans with the clocks, I can't be sure). Did need to get up twice during that time but fell asleep again straight away. I don't even need to be sitting down to fall asleep! Been yawning a lot the last couple of days as well. Don't know if something is working on me, or if it's all this sorting out that's doing for me - not that it uses much physical energy.6.3 this time travelling BST malarky.
I don't see the need for it in my opinion. Saying that, I don't really care anyhow!
It just adds more chores to what is supposed to be a holiday. Start on the clock changing to the battery changing. Mrs L 's clock is not programmed to change, so another fiddle with it. the meter readings, as it's the last day of the month. Moving fridge/freezer to get to gas meter. Getting on your knees to see electricity meter. And checking numbers. Filling in the app. Have halved gas but electricity has risen. That is because of the cold month and using a heater instead of central heating. It works.
Getting eggs ready for flood of grandkids, wanting .
Normal chores as well.
And on top of that a bad night, not feeling well at all. Really tired, exhausted, just not right, a bit of stomach flu, cold, I'm now trying to get comfortable on my chair, yawning constantly, but still in demand from Mrs L.
Windy, but sunshine, cloudy.
No rain, yay!
Might sit in garden if stop being cold.
Fasting until stomach is ok.
My best wishes to you all on Easter Sunday, leave them choccies alone you lot.
Don't keep talking about those treats you can have, when I have to abstain.
It's not fair!
Boo hoo!
Deserts were my downfall @ianpspurs. I never liked potatoes, pasta nor rice as I found them tasteless - so I gave them up happily. It was the unhealthy sweet stuff I loved and found so hard to give up.Morning everyone and Happy Easter - HIRIA. @dunelm and @gennepher thank you both for sharing your very different but equally wonderful examples of creativity and skill.
