What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Morning 4.44 for Tuesday morning. Finally, nice and sunny weather, active and my FBG is stable w/o meds!

Last 3 months I was eating salmon (farm raised)
for lunch and dinner. Only salmon, no chicken and no red meat. My PCP suggested eating oily fish is good for BG and Cholesterol. I have to go to supermarkets where salmon is on sale and then stock up. After buying a lot on sale, the first few days I will make fresh and the rest I freeze and keep on using. My FBG and A1c are in the non diabetic range.

My Cholesterol = Total 145, LDL 79, TG 47 HDL 53. I think my experiment went well. Now I am eating 50% salmon and 50% chicken breast meat and still no red meat. Have a nice day everyone.

That looks a bit like the weather outside my front window @dunelm
I like the colours...

Well that seems to work well for you. Any sightings of the eclipse?

Good afternoon one and all. A windy and wet day here and by the sounds of it in many parts of the uk. @dunelm thank you far sharing your art. @gennepher thank you for the very funny cartoon. @Omar51 your regime seems to be working really well. @Annb hug for the disruption and altered readings - bg, bp or both? It would seem that spring has not yet spring in the uk but nonetheless do try to enjoy your Tuesday.

BG down, BP up. Ah well - new pills to collect and take and have more veg because too much protein may be damaging my kidneys. Amazing how, these days, doctors can diagnose anything over the phone when you think back in the old times doctors even had to visit patients before they knew what was wrong with them, and even then, sometimes they didn't notice what was in front of them.

when my hall floor was redone.
when the carpet was lifted, cos the wood underneath was found to be unsound, unstable, they layed a covering similar to you describe. When it was re -covered and screed. Another one was layed.
when the bag window was done the same stuff was later up the stairs, landing and bedroom floor was covered in the stuff. Saves on mess and cleaning time.
SiL is an industrial painter. He uses a lot of the stuff.
it seems it has become increasingly important in refurbishment.
And it is a lot less expensive than the groundsheets that was used back in the day.
Good luck getting an appointment.

Hilarious, Mary!

Doubt the umbrella would last in this storm that has not been named.

6.9. Traumatic Tuesday, torrential torrents of teeming throwing it down.
Windy, and stormy don't tell Donald.

according to news, hottest month for the tenth month in a row.
not around here matey!
Bring your labs, measuring mechanisms, boffins, barometers.
We used to have one as well around here, a famous one.
used to supply a lot of information for the weather services, till they mothballed it.
Shame.

have two swimming/ paddling pools. And the flowers are fighting to stay upright. Care not put the bins out. Leaves everywhere again, litter everywhere again.
Grumpy?
You don't know what grumpy is!
My grumpiness has become viscious.
Chuffin' weather.
It is really really raining and can't get out. Grrrrr!

If you want to buy a house, there is some in Rwanda that are on offer.
Allegedly built and paid for by the British taxpayer.
But it's ok, our chancellor is a landlord of fine reputation.
Ha Ha, Ha.
Laughing all the way to an offshore bank account in a tax haven.

Thanks Ian

Stopped raining, Sun came out clouded over, started raining again. Cold and windy still it has a name now.
Can't spell it, looks an unusual name.

Last night's continuing serial dream, similar to those cinema flicks in the thirtys. Buster Crabb and such.
Or the Saturday morning ABC minors. To watch the latest offerings . Or have a bit of a laugh with your friends as a bit of of a light relief from the realities of the early sixtys.
Anywho, caught in a hole with others as fireworks went off all around us. The night is dark, the streaks across the sky and the booms. And the screams of noises, so disturbing and debilitating. Lots of fear and lack of understanding.
Nowhere to go, nothing to see, just waiting and wondering.
Trapped.
Big noise.
Big light.
Jumped up, woke Mrs L.
Sweating. Heart thumping, shaking, breathless and pain all over. Burning in my left arm.
To add insult to injury Mrs L punched me in the back.

I'm knackered.

My best wishes and pleasant dreams to you lot out there.

Nice writing and lot of humor, I am learning and improving my English language. Beside that my BG and BP is well under control.

5.5 this morning. Relaxing with a coffee before getting ready to go to muchly classes at a nearby village hall. Poppy comes with us and enjoys the walk around the field behind the hall and then the meet and greet with class members.
