Hope they get your heating sorted out before anything elseBG at 04.00 was 6.4 which is OK but BP was back up to159/75. Not quite so good, but not as awful as last week so all's well. GP asked me to keep a record of my BP until she sees me again, which won't be until after I have a blood test - possibly on Thursday week. It's a b it of a faff, which is why I don't check it more often (probably should). Good news is that I can actually see that I'm losing weight - would have preferred to see it off my big stomach, but it's showing around my neck and face so I suppose that's an indicator that it is actually going from other parts as well.
Builders haven't arrived yet but the forecast is bad so maybe they won't come to work on the roof at all today. It's actually alright out there at the moment. Didn't know what to do with myself this morning - I was so hot! Thermometer only said 16 degrees though so can't think why, except maybe it was a persistent, dry heat rather than an intermittent slightly moist heat that we had before.
Lovely daffodils, Gennepher. We actually have some in bloom now - at last. Also some Spanish bluebells poking through the ground, but not big enough to flower yet. Beginnings of trees budding as well (some of them, though the willows are, as usual, not showing signs of life yet.Fbg 8.7
My son came to meet up with me and my daughter yesterday, and we were trying to find somewhere for me to eat but there was absolutely nothing suitable for me with my dietary problems and my diabetes.
Normally, I don't eat out anymore with my allergies/ intolerances etc. Rapeseed oil affects me badly, And much stuff is cooked in that and made with that. So I said I wouldn't eat, but because it has taken something to get us together in one place at one time, they want us all to have a family meal. But there was nothing suitable in any other places and the eating place we used to go, to where I can usually find something to eat was not there anymore and it was now an even fancier restaurant with no what I call straight unadulated straight food. I could not even identify what the food was we had.
And so I just ate a small portion that was in my dish ....
And so I need to spend today, eating to try and bring this number down ... and that end, I am going back to virtually nil carb, to do it that way... taking my usual diabetic medication of course.

Creative...daughter and I painted some daffodils, using the same media as yesterday, but obviously more yellow from the gouache paints of yesterday. She gave me her finished painting and I gave her mine. Here is my painting...
I think gouache paints are satisfying to play with...
Then we went to meet my son.
I need a rest today, so I'll be sleeping on and off. It is pouring with rain and there's a paddling pool around my bungalow....
Have your best kind of day , and take it easy.
A stormy windy, rainy day out there with a paddling pool around my bungalow ...again...
Time for a cuppa.

thank you very much @dunelm for the painting compliment.Winner for the smashing daffodils but a hug for not being able to get a meal out that satisfies your requirements. Important thing was being together.
I will be glad @Annb for your sake when they get that whole job done, so that you can get your home back to the way you want it to be.BG at 04.00 was 6.4 which is OK but BP was back up to159/75. I love this raw sienna painting @dunelmGood morning everyone on a sunshine and showers day here on the dark and dangerous north. 5.4 this am. The grand cycling event yesterday took place on a sunny but blustery day and had lot’s of cheering people to support their efforts. The lawns got a haircut in the afternoon and Mrs Miggins presented the garden with a new washing line - exciting times! Nice zoom chat with my mother earlier on, they are having one of their gardens re-modelled to make it easier for them to get out and enjoy it. A path that will take a mobility scooter. Art bit, similar scene as yesterday but using raw sienna. Hope your day is a good one. I am on my second koffy.

Thank you @ianpspursGood day everyone from the eccentric East. The weather is quite wintry so only all the blossom and flowers give a clue to the actual season. @gennepher thank you for sharing - your daughter's ? - wonderful art. Shame about the problems finding a venue but big winner for sharing a meal with both children. @dunelm thank you very much for sharing that striking piece of art. @Annb I gave the like as you implied you were warm when I believe you aren't always. Our eldest grandson cut our lawns for the second time yesterday which is a blessing even though I do like that task. He was very nervous the first time but dad watched and helped. He was soon enjoying it and told dad to go shopping so he could go solo but with me and JKP watching. We sat in the sun and watched yesterday. Lawn mowing costs a can of coke and a hot cross bun - bargain. Enjoy the rest of your Monday if possible.
Yes, you are so right. Really strange that fancy eating places didn't have any safe stuff for you to eat but an ordinary pub would.Thank you very much @Krystyna23040
These were all fancy eating places.
In a pub or even a Wetherspoons, I can find enough safe stuff to eat...
I think I have posted about my travels and hotels and restaurants.Yes, you are so right. Really strange that fancy eating places didn't have any safe stuff for you to eat but an ordinary pub would.
