Portmerion it is.Ah@Lamont D. Could you be talking of Portmeirion? We spent the first day of my retirement there in one of the Italianate buildings which was very special but sadly during our evening meal in the hotel we received a call saying my father in law had been taken ill and we had to come home. Still a very special place in a lovely location.
so jealous!Yamas
No meter, so no testing .
After a swim in the hotel pool
(Just us)...and a little bit of massage via the pools filtration system .
We hit molyvos.
It's not game of thrones, but it so could have been.
A tiring day, so a run back in the car to an easy night at our favourite bar, and a very decent takeaway on the veranda.
While Lauren popped to the loo, this gorgeous cheeky one invited itself to make it a "table for three, garçon "...
Loving it

Best regards to Mrs J and all the best with your below stairs employment.Morening all
Blood sugars this morning were 5.1
Another busy day at the coal face ov pandering to whims ov Mrs J, whose operation on her broken wrist yesterday went well. The medics reset the break using a plate and screws.
Now it is time Mrs J says to start her day, stuff my day.
Planting her under the patio is not an option……….
Yes dear coming…….

I usually still take milk in my tea and coffee and it does put my BG up but while I'm on close to zero carbs most of the time, I can cope with a small rise. As it happens, I used a cup of milky cocoa to bring my BG back up this afternoon, when it was staying stubbornly low. It is now up to 6.4. I fell asleep and had a very unhappy dream while waiting for it to work and slept for an hour. Still a bit groggy but not shaking now.Afternoon all. Taking a break from tasks while Mrs J is “ reading “ with her eyes closed !
Happy birfday @lindisfel
Just for info I gave up on adding milk into my tea and koffy asI found it raised my blood sugar. Please note all our body chemistry is different. I hope this information is ov use.
What milk do you drink?Back from town after another leg bandaging morning. Odd sort of day T2-wise. BG was 5.9 at 04.00 and 7.1 before early breakfast of a crumpet with a fried egg on top. That one crumpet should have had a serious effect on BG so I took insulin that I would normally take for such a large amount of carbs. In the car, on the way to town, my Libre alarm sounded because BG was down to 3.9. Took 2 fruit pastilles to stop the drop. In the Health Centre, waiting for Neil to collect me, I checked and it was 3.2. Had 2 oatcakes from my emergency kit, nothing happened (oatcakes would normally send my BG sky high), had a third oatcake - same thing. That was my emergency supply exhausted. I was considering asking the receptionist for help from a nurse, but Neil arrived and there were more fruit pastilles in the car (my other emergency supply). Had 3 more. Got home and checked again - 3.3. Had a cup of tea and it rose to 5.9. Great! Now it has dropped again to 4.4. Don't understand it. With all these carbs it should be about 15. This is just ridiculous. Just about to try a cup of warm milk (it's pretty chilly here today) and see if that'll be any help.
Full cream cow's milk. It did put my BG up but not as far as I expected. Just having a funny day today. What milk do you drink?
Hoping you had a special day @lindisfel and wishing you many more of 'em!Born this day 1939. So all this death and destruction was in the process of coming upon us. A good job we do not know what do the line.
