What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thanks @ianpspurs
I had been worried, that it was a bat on my back because I am on the flight path of a load of bats...

Very dissolute you are...Blueberry muffin!!!
Keto Californian Blueberry if you don't mind. All the way from Crays Hill, Essex. For us Keto boys the only way is Essex. Just call me Joey

Community nurse just left she came to sort out my back seems they will be coming daily till the 9th I had no idea.
Good news there John. Those community nurses are amazing. I have teams of two every other day come to apply steroid cream to areas of skin or what was skin and redress? me literally from shoulder to toe. My, but cream containing paraffin is a fun sensation on some areas. Reminds one of the good times at boarding school with Nige/Jacob/Bozza

Good afternoon Ladies and Gentleman.

Blood sugars this Morening were 5.4

Four those interested here is an update on Mrs J’s recovery from her broken wrist.

Mrs Js progress has been astounding. Her achievements in no particular order

Mrs J has managed to dress herself in clothes I’ve never seen before and always say when questioned “ I’ve had this ages “

Her knife throwing accuracy has improved enormously along with cups, plates and saucepans, empty or full.

Shoes, I won’t mention shoes, just to many to mention.

Her ability to take short naps is showing no bounds.

Unfortunately Mrs J is a bit ( read that as a lot ) intolerant of slight transgressions from politely worded requests ( the word demands should not be used if you aim to survive ) any deviation from these requests results in the rant bit of the word intolerant.

Mrs J is an extremely skilled teacher of the correct way to hang washing out on the washing line. I never knew there was a correct way to hang wash out. I do now and so does the entire neighbourhood. The noise abatement society have been in contact……

I must end this short update and will post further updates ( if I survive )
Yes dear just coming…….

Alf Josiah

Congratulations Mrs A J on completing part 1 of retraining young Alfred into at least woke for an 18th century cave dwelling man. A journey of 1000 miles begins with one step. Top, top lady. Hang in there fella because you have been batting way, way above your average for years with that wonderful lady.

6.4 this terrible Tuesday.
Not raining, not like all day yesterday.
A total washout.
Today, cloudy with a chance of watching some cricket.
A little gardening but even though my sleep patterns all over the place thanks to Mrs L.
And the drilling outside while trying to catch up, with a lie in. 7.30 this morning with a new hole now closer to ours. They have started to fill in further up. And the temporary traffic lights have moved further past our gates.

Jimmy Anderson is having a fine morning. A sixfer in ten overs. Impressive for the upcoming test.

Our great niece's birthday.
No cake for me.

Have a better Tuesday than me please.
Best wishes as ever.

More chores to do. Washing and dishes.

Helen sent me a couple of WhatsApps from Northern Penines, apparently covered in Common Orchids and song of skylarks.
She must have shares in the Scargill retreat.

Had a little fall this am that upset me a bit.
I fell over the bed backwards over a wooden board end, I thought I would finish up hitting the carpet with the back of my head but managed to land on the bed.
Derek

Ouch Derek! A fall can be quite alarming. Do be careful, you are too valuable to be damaged. Glad that you managed to land on the bed though so wouldn't have come to too much harm. I hope.

do please take care!
I. Forever reminding Mrs L to hold on to a surface to steady her when standing or walking.r

unless you were practicing your geronhimo move!!!!!!

Jimmy finished a sevenfer.
Sun has made an appearance but the wind decided to get frisky!
Phone call from dsn. Checking that Mrs L 's new tablet hasn't caused side effects. It hasn't, next pack increased to 7mg. Why 7mg? Can't they get 10mg in a dose?
Just seems weird to this weirdo.
Letter from podiatry, or from appointment department for podiatry. If not heard from them by August, to phone them and demand one. Yeah! As if!

More rats leaving the ship!
And being pm, means you can't spend time with your kids or have a sabbath?
Thought we had religious freedoms?
Desperation on show!
Stop the tories.
Smash em to bits.

I gave you a winner Derek for landing on the bed!
@lindisfel

Understandable that the fall was a shock Derek. Fortunately the landing was in the best place. Take care and God be with you.

Do take care Derek thank goodness you weren’t hurt.

Thank you @gennepher for sharing your encounter with a Poplar Hawk-moth. Perhaps it was freshly emerged from its pupa and still a little unsteady.

All the Hawk-moths are striking beasties and some are truely exquisite, but because they are nocturnal, they tend to attract less comment than their smaller, day-flying relatives.

Tuesday's FBG 4.4 mmol on waking at 6.00 am.

I do that with my reading glasses @gennepher. I'm forever mislaying them, but I digress. Thank you for sharing an imaginative illustration. I'd like to climb to the brow of that hill. I want to know what is on the other side.

A fall, even a little one, is bound to shake you up @lindisfel. Thank goodness you landed safely and haven't hurt yourself.

A winner for landing on the bed and not on the floor @lindisfel
