I have told you about similar occurrences with my surgery, it is awful.
When you do go, get the reptionist, and don't forget the evidence of your hearing etc. Or a member of staff, probably the surgery manager, to give you a way of communicating, even if it is snail mail.
You have every right to have this.
There must be in your local health authority, a method of communication to satisfy your needs.
Don't let them fob you off.

I'd gone to get my legs rebandaged but when I got there the nurse didn't know that and said I was down for blood, BP and urine tests. Well, good luck with that! Nobody had told me about that and nobody had told her about either my legs or my notoriously awful veins. She and another nurse took half an hour to get a small amount of blood out of multiple holes. They did manage to get a reading for my BP - good at 117/63 - urine to be tested next week and there was enough blood to check my kidneys in the end. All's well that ends well.

We were treated to blue skies and sunshine here this morning and next to no wind.. Perhaps the pattern of the jet stream has shifted at long last and about time too.

Our young fox family appeared at about 8.00 am. One of the cubs came bounding up the garden path. They are now almost the same size as their mum. This cub seems more adventurous than its siblings. S/he is sporting a bright orange coat just like their dad.

Thursday's FBG, 4.7 mmol on waking at 6.00 am.

My job with my footie club, was quite like this. I was paid through contract and the money was grateful, but the job itself, sometimes doing seven days a week, it was hard work especially to a guy nearing pensionable age.
But the experience, the joy, the benefits, the pleasure of doing a job well and enjoyment out of it. It was my dream job.
And it kept me really fit.
So keep the enjoyment levels up.
One thing I learned as a youth coach.
Expect the unexpected, especially when your in charge of doing the unexpected.

Yes you have. And like you I received a communication from the surgery, in my case by no reply text, about meds saying that I had to buy my own pain killer analgesic cream, and they were not supplying it any more. It had been prescribed by the hospital for my arthritis. And that I could buy it myself over the counter. I tried, and was told it was prescription only. I did use snail mail, but no reply from the surgery. So that is another thing on my list when I go in...l have a month to add to my list....

Two trips into town yesterday so a good 6 miles in total, albeit with some protestations from hips and lower back (complete wimps). Laundry duties this morning. One lot already on the line and bedding stripped and in the washer. Mrs Miggins wants a freshly laid bed ready for when we return from our sojourne. Must remember to finish my packing this morning. Firstly though Mrs Miggins has to sort out The Girl In The Bubble for her last day of “school” this term - she has been experiencing Reception Class this week in readiness for the next school year and is quite tired at the end of each day. Must be a dress down day - not a uniform in sight. Art bit - I have no idea what was going on inside my head. I hope that you can have a good day, as good as you can make of it. I firstly need to sit, have some koffy and enjoy bird song in the garden.

So many people here with health care, especially communication and access issues, with which a better led country should be able to deal. For me the key takeaway from Lady Hallet yesterday was that British, mainly a certain type of English public school, exceptionalism has so much to answer for: we must, apparently, never, ever mention that B word or Boris. Until we do things won't get much better. First day of long vac here (wonderful memories) so I'm watching Disney with my granddaughter who is going with JKP to have her nails done and then lunch, as a birthday present. We have three grandchildren's birthday's within eight days but one is in Winchester. Nice enough place Winchester but it isn't Cambridge or Fenland - there's a crack in everything. To all those battling "bureaucracy" hugs, thoughts and prayers. @gennepher thoughts and prayers with you if today is anywhere near as gloriously summery there as it will be here - Genn's Inferno . @dunelm thanks for sharing the art and bon voyage when the time comes.
