Wonderful kaleidoscope - thank you. The hug is for the probable heat indoors and the wildlife issues with sleeping outside.Fbg 6.6
I am trying to play catch up in my bungalow today, but keep having to stop for a rest with this heat.
Thought I had better do this post...
Slept okay last night, but added a bigger fan to the bedroom. I prefer the smaller fans because they do not disturb the 'hidden' dust, and make my eyes worse....
Yesterday when I went down the steep hill into the town, the temperature dropped about 4 to 6C just going down a bit in altitude. And I noticed the same difference coming back, only the temperature got warmer and the air stuffier...
Wildlife Nighttime video
This is Pa badger falling off the swing...
I felt so sorry for him.
Midnight was sitting next to me as I was editing this and put his paw on the screen...
58 secs
Creative...Kaleidoscope of some Yarrow in my herb garden...
The thermometer in the shade in my back garden tells me it is 24.9C at 4 pm.
What that means the heat inside my bungalow will be tonight, I have no idea....
I can see me going out in the garden to sleep ...before I knew there were nightly badgers and foxes in my garden, I would go and sleep on the swing for the night when the temperatures were like this...
I'll check what the thermometer in the potting shed is later...it has a bed in it, and is almost over grown and shaded by greenery...
Have your best day...

Darling Midnight. The way animals react to images on a screen @gennepher and reflections in a window or mirror, is fascinating. Most birds behave as though they're confronting a rival or impostor. (Of course it seldom happens in the natural world, except perhaps when they catch sight of their own reflection in a body of water}.Fbg 6.6

Be that as it may. magpies are not fooled. When behaviourists attached pieces of paper to a magpie's plumage including the back of its head, the clever magpie used a mirror to remove each piece of paper, proving it recognised the image as its own reflection!
Thank you for sharing the video and another beautiful kaleidoscope.

Thank goodness God did intervene otherwise things would have been much worse.Morning all from L.A. where it is summer for another day - 24.5C at 6.00 am in Hive's little corner of the world. I was awake at 4.00 as is becoming the norm but my medicine routine means I take some early as they should be taken on an empty stomach and no tea/coffee for at least 30 mins. A little insight into how I see God working in my life recently. Today marks the latest drop in Prednisolone, down to 3 from the initial 6. The journey from mid-May to the present has been "fun" A rash started to appear in May so I swiftly sent images to oncologists - I read certain instructions carefully. They seemed to think it wasn't an issue, probably an allergy, so the treatment regime continued. What I now know are bullae began to appear late May/early June - more images sent. There was a major inflection point June 4th. I had a seizure while in the car collecting grandchildren. After a long wait for an ambulance (JKP is superb in a crisis), I was checked and blue lighted to hospital. I happened to be on the Cambs Suffolk border so I was taken to West Suffolk despite being alert enough to (forcefully) say I want Addenbrookes. Scans, tests, 2 nights in hospital, follow up MRI and punch biopsy ensued. The MRI revealed nothing which could explain June 4th - 3 different letters to tell me that despite me ticking the electronic communication box. All cancer treatment suspended but CT scan on Tuesday and face to face appointment August 2nd. Between three different specialist consultants the conclusion is this was all a massive (over?) reaction to the immunotherapy - which I had concluded about 2.00 am June 5th while waiting for the promised cup of tea from 18.00 hrs on the 4th. I see June 4th as God’s intervention - things would have bumbled along for goodness knows how long without that episode. A dermatologist appointment would have taken months - a year?- but by insisting that Oncologists and West Suffolk communicate asap I was seen urgently while still in hospital and diagnosed by her within 30 seconds.
I'm glad to hear that @Krystyna23040 for you, your family and all those you help with your teaching. Here's a part 2 to my post if people can bear it:Thank goodness God did intervene otherwise things would have been much worse.
I have also experienced God's intervention - which I am so thankful for.
or a thump on top of the box!Fbg today 6.0
I have been giving this global IT outage some thought and am wondering have they tried turning it off and then back on again normally works.
Hug for the early rising and cold. There will still be lots to do long after you have moved on so relax, don't feel guilt and enjoy the research. Treat it as a treatment because I'm fairly sure relaxing with something that interests you and is safe is at least as helpful in managing the D as anything. Peace be with you.7.7 sitting on the edge of my bed at 03.10 today, gathering strength to get up. By the time I got through to the kitchen (5 minutes later) it was 8.2. I've set the alarm to sound at 8.0 to try to keep well within range. I guess that's because my liver woke up and decided I needed a boost.
Cold today and I'm wasting time working on interesting line of family history - I am Anglo-Saxon after all; at least some part of me is. There's lots to do though, so I really should get on.
I bow to your resilience and your faith.Morning all from L.A. where it is summer for another day - 24.5C at 6.00 am in Hive's little corner of the world. JKP has been immense in all this and the "added fun" of a leaking heating system and near collapsing ceiling. As of today, the urticated lesions are now eschar and almost no new bullae. Having seen images of what Bullous Pemphigoid does to some - not for the squeamish - I've been blessed to have escaped mildly. Fbg/diabetes in all this? I still log everything in Cronomterer am (dirty?) keto (I'll eat LC protein bars, use tinned tomatoes, Cadburys chocolate in small gms is fine ) carb level <30 net (24.8 7 day average) and have regular bloods taken but no testing. I prefer using Libre but I'm not insulting my skin further just now. I've plenty for which to give God thanks including just having my tea, peanut butter and Jarslberg. There is cricket later. I have to avoid the sun/cover up well and can't drive but so what? Y'all have your own great day and I truly hope God blesses you as much.
Thank you and as the saying goes right back at you. I am in awe of you and those in your position. I do so enjoy reading how your garden, the sport and your family (and even gammonI bow to your resilience and your faith.
I truly mean that, that the way you have battled along with your soul mate doing great things for you.
And I would know what that takes.
Our experiencing the good part of the health industry whilst getting frustrated with the bad, putting up with the ugly truth behind our healthcare, sums it up.
The covid enquiry report into our healthcare from our previous lot, is really shocking.
We are still here, fighting our corner, and doing what we can, because we are built that way.
You yourself have a lovely cricket day, and hope the rain stays away until tonight.
My best wishes, and it's good to get it out there.
Not got Apple Tv.Thank you and as the saying goes right back at you. I am in awe of you and those in your position. I do so enjoy reading how your garden, the sport and your family (and even gammon) sustain you. You know from whence I'm going to say those blessings come Reasonable people can disagree amicably. Have great day. BTW if you can get access watch Ted Lasso I think you'll enjoy it.
Next week we have the ho, ho, ho lympics. Interesting stat: Longitudinal analyses find that the average male Olympian is 6ft and weighs 175lbs. (12 stone 7 or 79.4 kgs). Oddly enough that was me at my sporting peak. They have muscle, I’d feel like barrel man at that weight now. That stat and barrel man comes from here. Have I ever mentioned I like many things AmericanNot got Apple Tv.
But I will try and get it.
I have to say this, so no spreading it about ok?
But I do like some US comedy.
My favourites have been, Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, and The Good Place.
It somehow sums me up.
But there are some, I cringe at!
But thanks for the heads up.
WI, nine down, still no joy for Wood.
Woods (gelf) and Rory have gone home. So sad!!!!I
Darts semis tonight!
