Your trees cheer me up @dunelmGood morning everyone on a full on Girl In The Bubble breakfast waiter start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.8 this a.m. Packing day today - well for me it is. Mrs Miggins likes (enjoys) a long run at it. To say we will be on a ship pottering about most of the time we seem to need more changes of clothes than Madonna had when she warbled on in Evita. I believe that parts of her are now 65 years old. Food choices. Slow eating. Eating mindfully. I’m not knocking it. Just mindful that I can do those things. Art bit - no idea but it pleases me to think moonlight. May your day be a good one. It’s the only one we have. My mum tells me today that dad is sitting up in bed, drinking a bucket full of tea and telling her that if he lives a bit longer, he will need to use the new walker that mum organised. Two walkers, one hallway, what could possibly go wrong? Koffy, best sort out some koffy now that my waiter duties seem no longer needed.
Thank you for the lyrics IanGood morning on what is for me a sub-optimal start to Tuesday here in L.A but I'm very conscious many here and countless numbers both living and rejoicing on another shore and in a greater light would tell me to check my privilege. Today I seem to be extra (super in Gen z speak) aware of the tension between the need for this and the evidence that the reality of my own life and that of so many others is both sub-optimal and in terms of eternity ephemeral. Luxury yacht's and Loadsa Money ultimately count for nothing. Moving on, @gennepher your horror story yesterday and the accounts of previous issues plays into the count your blessings Ian theme as do @Lamont D's . I am reminded that as @Annb was quoted by @SlimLizzy as saying

@dunelm well done on the waiter duties and thank you for sharing the art. Is it rude to say I see a herd of odd coloured giraffes? This was part of an email. My instinct and tastes tell me the Med diet is the one for me but the carbs in those meals are outrageous. Looking at the quantities what kind of Elfin beings would have leftovers if a family all ate the same? I'll leave it with you as you enjoy Tuesday or not. It's officially ok not to be ok these days.
Actually, you are right. It would be better to read the series from the beginning. It might be an idea to read the others in the series first.
Thank you @gennepher and pleased that they give you some cheer. The hallway at my parents house connects the waking parts of the house to the sleeping parts - a long, empty stone floored corridor so no Aikido needed.Your trees cheer me up @dunelm
I love them, today's made me smile.
Nothing can go wrong in a hallway filled with equipment...as long as you did Aikido in your early days...and could do the forward roll when Sensei was hovering with his big stick....saved my bacon a few times...especially last week...I must start practising mindful walking....
That's good @dunelmThank you @gennepher and pleased that they give you some cheer. The hallway at my parents house connects the waking parts of the house to the sleeping parts - a long, empty stone floored corridor so no Aikido needed.
Giraffes - Mrs Miggins said similar. Interesting set of diminishing leftovers - wouldn’t last past 2nd post in this house and have they never heard of second breakfasts? Ingredients remind me of This.Good morning on what is for me a sub-optimal start to Tuesday here in L.A but I'm very conscious many here and countless numbers both living and rejoicing on another shore and in a greater light would tell me to check my privilege. I think I have posted the authors I follow, one is a woman detective, the writist is Angela Marston.Actually, you are right. It would be better to read the series from the beginning.
The problem is that I am so busy as I run classes and teach 1:1s six days a week plus doing admin, learning new stuff, writing exercise sheets, doing individual lesson plans etc. etc. So am crazily busy. It is really crazy - especially as I am way past retirement age.
My reading usually consists of reading text books and I am lucky if I can read 2 or 3 fiction books a year. So I will read the whole series when I retire as I do like the characters - but that is not likely to be anytime soon as I do love what I do.
A better day and a good letter day7.3 going up. No idea, changed stabber, checked twice.
@gennepher, I do understand the frustration and as @JohnEGreen has said, there is tech out there.
I will remind you that as a team leader, I had a couple of members and friends who had disability, one which was Ian, who was deaf and dumb. I learned quite a bit of sign language, enough to explain new things introduced to the model we were working on.
It wasn't easy I also had to understand what he was trying to communicate. I had to find ways to help him.
One time, his health had come into question. We found a service for signing. At the surgery in the factory, it was good for him to get the health issues explained properly.
At times, like you have, it was so much easier to write things down for him.
I'm certain that there is someone who could help.
New bins, much better, they fit great as well, diabetic review letter all clear.
A much better day today and yes, I need to be more preventative with things that could be a risk, I will think about it all again.
Sunny but windy today. Quite warm.
Ernie is coming to get you.
You have been warned, stay safe, dry and warm, you lot!!!!
My best wishes to you lot as always.
I am sure that I have read, and enjoyed, some Angela Marston books. I would love to read more fiction.I think I have posted the authors I follow, one is a woman detective, the writist is Angela Marston.
Also Jodi Taylor, Denise Grover Swank, Mandy Baggot and of course the early trekkie books.
Last non fiction books were U.S.civil war or history, footie books or researching RH.
I used to enjoy Cussler adventures until, they became familiar storylines.

Thank you @AnnbBrilliant kaleidoscope.
I'm tired too. I've been struggling to stay awake all day. BG is high, as usual these days - 13.4 at last test. Took an insulin dose to try to bring it down so we'll see how that goes.
Was it the Kim Stone detective series?I am sure that I have read, and enjoyed, some Angela Marston books. I would love to read more fiction.
